Wow that tank is a close fit.
A little bit further 👍
F,ING brilliant , never forget how ruff it was when you got it !! Top man!!!
Nice and tidy work Matt, 👍👍
I would of been tempted to try heat and distort subframe a bit with a ball pein hammer
I might have done in end. Something similar. Can’t mention subframe mods on this channel :)
@@MattGreenWorks keep plodding on, its looking really good, you picked one of the best colours I think !👍🏻
Looking good. Never mind the F1. Go motogp. Miles better
Hello. Why is there 2 fuel lines again?
I am running fuel injection
Chicken Cow Mein microwave special.
That idea using an MPi unit in the tank was genius. I have been thinking about not using a return pipe and just blanking off the return port on the K100 fuel rail. I am using the standard BMW regulator.
As underfloor pipework is about a month away its not urgent! Come to think of it nothing has been urgent on Noah.
Still engine and head back from engineers Tuesday ... Yaaayy
Can you blank off the return? Something I need to look at soon.
@@IronmanG74 According to the bit of research I have done. I will dig out a link or two tomorrow.
I can't find the online copy of the Specialist Components book on how to do the conversion. But in the first page of 'Chapter 8 - Fuel Injection' it mentions the choice between single or return systems. Later it says:
"The BMW fuel rail has an inlet / outlet in two places. If you use the delivery method mentioned earlier one of these points can be blanked off. If using a return system both points will be needed"
My idea (and this is all it is so far) is to use an electric pump and inline filter I already have drawing from my standard 998 tank. Just remember the fuel pressure on a standard K100 or K1100 bike is 38 psi so you will need a regulator. The bike fuel pump puts out about 80 psi! The BMW system uses the regulator 'post injectors' to return excess fuel to the tank via the second pipe. Other regulators control the pressure 'pre injectors' and so use the delivery (single pipe) system.
It may just turn out to be easier to run two pipes and an MPi fuel tank (or even a BMW fuel pump and filter in a modified standard tank) and use the BMW regulator. But either system is feasible.
Hope this helps.
@@1chish cheers for that. I am running a swirl pot so if I dont need to run a return I wont. I have the SC regulator and fuel pump
@@IronmanG74 Good to see someone else is trying this and it looks like you are well sown the road so to speak. Mine is a bit different as its an 1100 engine not a 1275 so I have to run the 8 valve K100 head. However I am using the larger 16 valve throttle bodies, Throttle Position Sensor, loom and ECU.
Keeps the two brain cells working.
When's the MG Playmini exhaust going on...??
Soon I hope
HELLO Matt
I'm going to replace both sides of the front floor section on my 66 mini van.
I don't need the full floor, just the section with the foot wells and just before
the box section or the repair section.
what is the best choice (supplier) when it comes to being closes to the original ?
I don't see anything from heritage being offered- and I don't think the saloon panels
will match the van/ pickup floor.
Thanks- Jim
m machine good stuff , magnum bit thinner but cheaper
