Really, any Star Wars RPG would be great, weather it's set 4000 years before Revenge of the Sith or 4000 after!
Fox doesn't need to make another fantastic four film just to keep the rights, they could just let Disney have it. Maybe Disney should offer them money, assuming Fox would take it. Some studios have a hard time letting go of something even if it involves a flop. Take a look at the third Riddick film. Universal didn't want to make anymore, yet they also didn't want to sell the rights back to the creators. Vin Diesel basically had to threaten he won't do anymore of another series they own before they gave in. Army of Darkness did poorly in the theater, yet they Universal had to keep that too. We may just have to wait until the far future when all the studios are bought out with only one left standing. Untitled Artis & Orion got bought by MGM. What if, one day, Fox gets bought out by Disney? Will humanity even still be making movies in 3978? If Fox was able to buy out Disney, they'd get their Star Wars back and we could have rated R Avengers. Yikes! If all movie studios are Disney (or Fox or Werner Brothers or Columbia or Paramount or Universal or MGM), will all restaurants be Taco Bell?

I have to say that after seeing the quality of shows like The Flash and Supergirl, we have reached technology to pull off a live action Star Wars show.

Those shows are godawful at their worst and tolerable at their very best, and the effects are only passable on the low, low cable tv scale

Heres an idea: a live action solo Anakin Skywalker film. Have it take place in the Clone Wars/pre-Revenge of the Sith. Get Hayden Christensen to come back and grow his hair long again and have Anakin on a mission withouth Obi-Wan for some contrived story reason. Have that be the whole movie. Redeem Hayden in the eyes of audiences everywhere.

I recommend Tartakovsky's 2003 Clone wars mini series. You can even find it here on CZcams. In the part closer to finale Anakin has an adventure of his own as a part of his unofficial Jedi trials, going against people of Wat Tambor and liberating alien species that were used for Separatists' experiments.

No, what happened was that there was a whole bunch of behind the scenes stuff. The original creator left the project, then the rights got sold to EA, around the time the Force Awakens came out EA announced they had someone working on it and he's changing up the story a lot. Originally it was just for pc but EA wants dude to make it compatible with the PS4 as well. Thats all we know about it so far, we're expecting some new news about it next year around E3 or when they drop Battlefront 2

Nah, just kidding, these all sound interesting, though I do wonder about what really happened to Detours, I heard somewhere it was cancelled because when the Disney buyout happened, they thought it would harm the Star Wars brand if they released it, so they made Star Wars Rebels instead.
Though while I liked The Force Awakens, I really would have loved to see the Episode 7 video game.

Damian Charleston it is always sad, once a company has it all, and no fear of losing it, they become lazy and greedy. No competition means that there is no challenge or pressure for them to make their products better/more appealing, and there is no reason to invest in risky, creative and original ideas. Instead they will refine a formula that worked the first few times, and then get stale.

Damian Charleston when i said the formula i meant that it followed the same formula. Just because it doesn't have lightsabers or deathstars doesn't mean it isn't following the formula.
Damian Charleston something along the lines of a small group of rebels with a variety of characters, with the main characters being some guy born in a sandy desert, a droid and some space cowboy, uniting to eventually destroy a battle station. Even though they mention many times that it will be an impossible mission as they split up on different planets to set up the final act, they all come back together at a rebel base or meeting of some sort to say that there is a slim chance for the mission to succeed. And then it either does, or sets up the next movie.
And have you listened to the "Star Wars - The Original Radio Drama"? Those were made in the 80. And are longer than the movies: first part is nearly 6h, compared to 2h of "A New Hope". Combined we get 13h of audio. There is a lot of new stuff, like more of Luke on Tatooine, more of Leia before Vader kidnaped her (he tortured her in this one), more of Han Solo.

Ep 1:two Jedi (qui gon jinn and obi wan kenobi) are on a separatist ship when the get discovered by battle droids. They leave and find the queen Amidala who need to see senator palpatine. She brings qui gon and obi wan and padma a servant for amidala. When they are going to find palpatine there ship gets wrecked so a droid name R2-D2 fixes half of the ship but the other half is still wrecked. They go to tattoine to get some parts for the ship while there they find a boy (Anakin) who is very strong in the force. Qui gon decides to teach the boy all about the Jedi. Soon everyone finds out that padma is the real queen and the fake one was undercover in case padma would die. The two Jedi qui gon and obi wan find a sith (darth maul) who they fight. Qui gon dies and obi kills maul.
Ep 2: Anakin is now a teenager and is now a Jedi. They find out that someone is trying to kill the queen padma. Obi wan goes to find the bounty hunter while Anakin takes padma to her home planet. Obi wan find out that the bounty hunter is jango fett. Fett get away and obi wan get captured by another sith count dooku. While Anakin and Padma are on the planet they fall in love and get married. While obi wan was with jango fett he noticed that he was making a clone army this is when the clone wars begins. Anakin get visions that his mother is dead so he goes back to tattoine and finds his mother. His mother seems to be dead by Tusken raiders that Anakin kills. Anakin and padma go rescue obi wan from count dooku but also gets captured. This is the start of the war....YODA (the greatest Jedi ever)comes with the same clones that obi wan saw with jango fett and they fight the sith. Jango fett dies in front of his own son boba fett. START OF THE CLONE WARS THIS IS-----YODA
Ep 3: Palpatine is captured by general grevious and Anakin and obi wan save him. Anakin finds out he's having a baby with padma . Anakin gets visions that padma is going to die from child birth so he decides to become a sith and with palpatine (Darth sidious) and becomes Darth Vader. While all of this is happening Obi wan kills grevious which ends the whole clone wars and starts Order 66 which wipes out all the Jedis instead of YODA and obi wan . Obi wan finds out that Anakin joined the dark side and cut his limbs off. So Anakin (Vader) has to be in a dark black suit. Padma gives birth to two kids LUKE and Leia and the dies.
AND THAT IS THE WHOLE PREQUELS I DIDNT TO THE OG TRILOGY CAUSE I DIDNT WANT TO SPOILER ANYTHINGS.......MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU
Your description of the tv show as backstory for the emperor sounds awesome. Consider that as lousy as The Phantom Menace is, the Emperor's rise to power/noticing Anikin is one of the very few things that works.

I would hope Disney would use the Netflix connection to help create a better Star Wars series than we would get on ABC. 8-13 really good episodes per season instead of 22 mediocre ones.
