I'm an A'tin(SB19 fan), I stan this group G22 because they are monster performer like our boys. They are really the counterpart of SB19. Amazing talents. They will be releasing a new song soon, which is writen by Pablo of SB19 and produced by RADKIDZ(Pablo and his brother Joshue).. Everyone is excited.

These ladies are live monsters, studio versions of their songs doesn't do them justice. They will release a song this coming august that was composed and produced by Pablo of SB19.... so looking forward for that! In this show it all performance, I remember how the Chinese trainees and the staff were blown away by their live vocals, so much that they were scared to perform after hearing G22 rehearse their songs. Also the song Babalik got the highest score in all of the performances in that show.

The girl who left G22 is Bianca (the first girl who sang in Babalik), she is a taekwondo belter. Hopefully she can come back someday. These girls are tight. They also write some of their songs and do own choreography. Their mentor is KZ Tandingan, another phenomenal artist you need to check out. G22's sound isn't candy pop. They have more depth and darker tone. I like them too. Some people compare them to SB19 because of their versatility. Not yet in the same level as SB19 in terms of songwriting, vocal layering and harmonies, but they definitely have talent and confidence. My bias in G22 is AJ, the one with low alto voice. But I like them all. The guy in black in Show It All who was reacting in the audience is Lay of Korean-Chinese boyband EXO. They really impressed the audience in China.
I'm an SB19 and G22 fan but I would also recommend the PPop group ALAMAT. I feel like they're also very underrated. They have great vocals and lean more on RnB sound. I love how they always make sure to infuse Filipino culture in their music and visuals too. Some of my fave songs are Dayang, Maharani, Dagundong, Say U Love Me and Gayuma.

They were (or maybe still are) trained by another fantastic singer (KZ Tandingan) and her influence is apparent in their style. Do check on KZ too who was largely praised with her performances in Singer 2018, competing against Jessie Jay, among others. She also had SB19 as guest in one of her concerts.😊

Jaz, in the middle is Filipino-Australian, she just turned 20 this year. Aj with deep voice and Alfea is a year younger. They were guests, as well as Bini, in this China reality show for Idol trainees. The trainees were allowed to watch them rehearsed they did it 7 times. As the trainees account each rehearsal sound better and better. Lay, trainee mentor, is a member of EXO a KPOP idol group. China has one of the best live shows the sound systems, lightings and director. I've watch so many everytime a Filipino is a guest or contestants.

I occasionally go back to this particular Babalik show it all version. It's just so different from their mv and wish bus. Too bad they dont have that much to really promote. I also love their other songs like One sided love and Musika (this one is a cover)
You're right, a lot of artists in PH are theatrical, coz in PH showbiz you gotta have the complete package to make it.. you must know how to sing, dance and act. A lot of them also have theatre backgrounds. But then again, majority of the people in the country is not as privileged as G22 members. Most artists come from humble beginnings, so they don't have the resources to go to workshops. Most of them are self-taught, learning by listening to their idols, then participating in town fiestas to entertain the public. I'm pretty sure these girls went to all sorts of workshops, though. AJ is theatrical and animated at the same time. Alfea is a true GenZ with her facial expressions. Love these girls.

Everyone here support P-Pop group. In the Philippines showbiz industry to become a successful long term celebrity this formula for many decadea u must have the trio talents (can sing sing, can dance dance and can act act or one of this is replace with being a comedian) and add other talents like song writing, choreography, ect. Or having a strong love team. So in forming a P-pop group is easy thats why many p-pop groups are formed but many are underrated but they all friends and helping each other by being part of their MV's and supporting friends behind camera.
