I love it how he giggles every time I would have died.
True, banger comment
The reason why he is giggling is that he pictures all the dead riders…
Dangerous Dave: undaunted by just about any trail there is
Also Dave: Scared of a little forest chicken
"I fear no drop. But that bird... it scares me."
"Don't be gentle, it's a rental" and "Clean it thorough, it's just borrowed" have been imprinted in my head at this point. I also once folded my neighbours bike on a nearby tree 10ish years ago and avoid riding something that isn't mine ever since... :D
I wouldn't even ride that on my own bike, never mind a borrowed bike!! Great video!! 👍👍
Lol
Came here for this. Facts. I watch this guy to vicariously do stuff that I'd never do.
Since it's the 2022 model of the company's sales rep's bike, you're honor bound to exercise it thoroughly. I'd want to know if the gear I rep is weak somehow *before* it hurts a customer. I don't mean smash their bike but smash *with* it. :-)
Full send, no less is an insult and likely why they wanted you to give it a nice "spin".
Great ride and cool to see an e-bike in action but man that Grouse bit just cracked me up. If I stopped for every grouse out here I'd never get anywhere.
Have you ever thought about doing a comparisson video between riding trails on e-bikes vs. normal mountain bikes? I think that would be a super interesting topic
🤐
Dangerous Dave: Jumps off rickety skinny without fear.
Also Dangerous Dave: 5:50
4:15 Dave:Skinnies = Dog:Squirrel
Cool, good video as always Dave! 💯
Wow these look like my kinda trails. Definitely on the bucket list
Watching you hit more gnar is all about the shizzo bro! The e-bike I like. Thought I wouldn’t, but the Bullit kills! Shred, be safe. 🤩
Good stuff Dave 🤙🔥
Gopro setup video please! Love the vids and quality! Hitting 100k in no time, love seeing the channel grow!
Sick vid. Smooth rider.
🤣I'm dying. All the scary stuff u do...and the bird🤣🤣🤣🤙 awesome vid Dave!
Nevermind. I saw the videos. My apologies 🙏
Dang what a smooth bike!
You nailed the reason why I love my ebike, I get to ride three times as much!
How fast you going bro & no falls is amazing God bless🦾🔥
Great ride EH !!!!
That bike looks like a fun ride!
yes, these furious grouses, oh man! I know exactly what you mean. Oh wait, don't you have bears there? 😁
That bike looks so smooth.
Dave for PB academy!
Wow u have gained so many subs in like a month
5:42 lol that bird was about to run away then it stopped when you stopped
i love your videos
Being born and raised in BC, hearing that you moved to BC for better weather was hilarious lmao
Wish we had trails like this down here in south Alabama/ Mississippi
That's a smooth bike
Love the reaction of “Skinnys😀”
What kind of camera do you use to record this ??
Whirrrrrrr Hop! it's Cyber Dave!
Dangerous dave in Alberta? Stoked to watch someone shred moose
Love ur content, your an amazing rider
1 Question: where do you put ur camera?
The way the camera pans left and right when he gets to/ crosses roads in some of his videos tells me that he usually does the helmet mount.
I mount it to the chin bar on my helmet
A grouse ride ! (you may have to look up aussie slang to get the pun)
Dangerous Dave meets Grumpy Grouse!
Dave its a Grouse its not a bear its your dinner!!! man up dude 🤪
moved to BC to escape the weather. Now escaping BC for Alberta weather haha. looks nicer then what we have had for the past 3 months
:(
Hi Dave, you got 27.5 or 29 tires?
27.5 👍
ah man we've had such a mild november you just missed the warm weather
It was nice of you to move that fallen log all the way off the trail instead of just enough so you could pass
have a shot of the famous grouse after that
That bike closes its eyes and wish's thats its you thats riding it now
Howdy. Commenting and COMMENTING!! Yor skill!!
Was that an E bike with fantastic suspension? I’ll watch again
U should compete ! U at very smooth and fast!
This was 3 months ago in moose pretty sure it was pack with snow btw great choice to bring e bike
Grouse in alberta are friendly dont worry :D
No problem at all (apparently) hopping the rear around to stay on a skinny with a skinny turn. I was wondering if the heavy ebike would mess him up... Nope.
It took considerable effort though 😆
I've chased grouse but never been chased by one.😂
Holy shit balls that bike is uncomfortably fast
I came across a turkey and her babies while backpacking, she chased me for 20 yards. I was terrified.
"Dangerous wildlife". I guess you haven't visited Australia 🐍
Riding looks sweet there!
I sure as hell wouldn't lend him my pants!
What's up with the moped?
Race of Spades! That wooden jump on/drop off thing is crazy in person; I'm never going to hit it so it's cool to see someone else ride it!
That's pheasants for us. Our grouse are cowards and small.
Dangerous Dave doesn't take chicken lines. He takes grouse lines.
Race of Spades is a fun trail! But I'm not brave or skilled enough to do any of the big features yet.
This made me Google what a grouse is. Found a video of it chasing someone....so it's kinda like a stalker? Once it decides to chase you it won't let up?
Lol I did the same lol
They're honestly just a ridiculous and not good at anything yet strangely aggressive bird. Because they're kind of funny every time I encounter one I call it a mountain chicken
@@brianlanglois9597 they taste like free range chicken. We bow hunt but keep a 22/410 handy for snacks like rabbits/grouse when we're out (they're great with chanterelle mushrooms, which also are in bloom everywhere that grouse are during first bow hunt). Most of the rest isn't worth eating unless you're literally starving; honestly wild rabbits really aren't worth it, I've seen frogs that have more meat on em. I need to look up the grouse chase thing because if they see us first they run like hell - somehow animals get a sense of when they're about to get eaten and take affront with it.
The problem is that he could have easily have encountered a bear or whatever large cats are in their area (there's like 30 types of bobcats here) as opposed to a grouse. It's always a good thing to gently distance from wildlife if possible. There also might be more around. So tiptoe away then run like hell.
Grouse are plentiful at moose, I’ve only ever had one follow me once, not aggressive or anything just came along for a walk 😅 Typically they are ‘scary’ because they wait until you’re basically on top of them to move from brush and scare the shit out of you.
What is that rattle!!
As someone who doesn't have grouse locally, what is so bad about them?
they are delicious.............. jus sayin
Sometimes they just run down the trail in front of you because they're too dumb to escape into the trees.... can't say I've ever been chased by one
Was this faster than before ...? it felt that way seeing it...
Yep. These trails generally ride much faster than the trails I normally ride. Less technical and more speed.
@@ddangerousddave Allroight - Thanks - this was not because of the E-Bomb you were riding (heavier weight ;) )....? BR
What kind of wildlife have you encountered?
*googles "grouse chase"*
dude we usually just eat em
If it's your bike, yeah sure, it's proven to take these courses well.
Following the IMBA rules: Don't spook wildlife. Good on ya!
Maybe on my dirtbike… maybe
SUPER WEIRD! I straight up was thinking, man I’m surprised he’s never ran into wild animals and how weirded out wild life must be from mountain bikers. BOOM wild life lol
Might just be the gopro but that looks very fast
Yep. These trails generally ride much faster than the trails I normally ride. Less technical and more speed.
Was that a e-mtb?
Yep. It's one of the new Range VLTs
🙂
my bad trait is that I think i could do this with ease
Have you ever got an injury?
Me, sat in my room eating pizza at 3am: *"Yeah, I would absolutely borrow a bike to go do a trail in the winter"*
I've been chased for over a mile by grouse. It sucked.
16,666 views... Those 666 really shows how dangerous Dangerous Dave is...
If Dangerous Dave was a girl, she'd always be a widow cause she be riding everyone to death.
That is one crazy ass grouse if Dangerous Dave is cautious. No trail can make him doubt his actions but that grouse... Damn.. I bet for us regular, mortal human beings that encounter would have been fatal.
If I'd go downhilling I would have to rent a bike. That's basically the same right?
i would never ride a borrowed E BIKE
I'm gonna be real with you, I wouldn't ride this on any bike
What are your impressions of the VLT? I have the A2 VLT range and it's a monster. Not super nimble.
Oops just read yor ...
How was the bike, really?? Worth every dollar?
huh, who would have thought that e-mtbs can fly? *kappa* :D this trail looks amazing though, and yes, if someone was to borrow me a bike, sure af i'd send it.
I wouldn´t ride any bike. I´m lucky if I manage to not break my neck on a flat road...
Ridiculous as usual.
Well yes but actually no
No.
do a flip.
This guy chuckles too much, great riding as usual though.
Yeah Dave, stop having fun. >:(
@@DaleStone you said that not me lol. I just stated my opinion, all of us ride silent and then celebrate after the run. He can do whatever he wants.
I think if you don’t have anything positive to say you probably shouldn’t say anything. Personally I wish he talked more while he was riding 🤷♂️
@@mitchnz how did I say anything rude? I expressed my opinion as you did. If you want him to talk more that’s great.
Nicely ridden, as usual. As to the trail, yeah, that's way above my skills (jumps, skinnies I'd prob try), but if I had them, once the bike was in good working order, especially brakes and geo wasn't too different to what I'm accustomed to, sure. The Grouse LMAO, you city boys :-D
Don't go down that road Dave, enough stuff in life is already made too easy so we basically don't have to do anything for what we want. Also, it will seriously effect your technical riding abilities as your fitness will suffer.
Actually, as far as fitness goes you aren’t losing much. With the ebike, you end up traveling farther
That's what they all say, but the 20%> weight gain I'm seeing across the board on guys who have gotten them to replace their regular bikes, tells me differently.
Dude scared of a grouse lolololololol
