Learning new things, like your fire starters and the way you cut off just the top of your bail so the rest stays dry and the horses eat from the top! And sometimes things don’t work out, or I try things that just don’t work. But I’m definitely trying my best, especially with the crazy weather. Nettles are great for eating
I used to have to chop wood when I was a young girl, and I felt sorry for you when that big block of wood did not at first cooperate with you! But you kept trying and overcame its resistance. It’s great that your art (candleholder) is useful as well as pleasing to the eye. I am enjoying your videos and all your animals.
Our weather here in prairie Canada has also been rainy and cool, but I prefer it over drought conditions, as other parts of Canada have extreme drought conditions and have suffered from forest fires since early in the spring, and they would love to get our rain. There has been no need to get the garden hose out to water the plants. We have had some hot days now, so there is hope that the tomatoes will soon turn red, and that all the farmer’s crops will grow. Did you do all that farming by yourself and with your brother? I am impressed! I live in America in the state of Indiana. Lots of cornfields, soybean fields, pig farms, and horses. There is so much open flat land that it isn't ideal for the type of farming I'd like to do like you do. There are hardly any trees except for the windbreaks. I think I was spoiled growing up in Minnesota. I grew up with evergreen trees, birch trees, and many lakes. I miss that. Now I am 65 and feel it is too late to start planning a small farm anymore. I am so happy to have come across your channel. You have a beautiful place there. I will be back for some more relaxation, dreaming, and enjoying your company. I hope you have a lovely day. ❤❤

First time watching and you say your cat has allergies. My husband is a veterinary dermatologist! I can hardly wait till he gets home so I can ask him about help for your cat. 🎉
That’s so nice of you. All ideas are welcome, I discuss everything with my vet. We have tried a lot of things and it’s most likely food related. We give her hypoallergenic food from my vet now, and it makes it manageable when she also receives medicine, but she still has bad weeks. Thank you for taking the time to help ♥️
Hi nikky! Nice to see another video from you. You sure have gotten a ton of rain! Its still so beautiful though after the rains and storms. Its been that way in Michigan, very rainy, cloudy days, and it gets chilly in the mornings, which is a bit unusal for us. We usually go right from spring into a hot summer. I loved how you made the firestarters. I love that you recycle! I can't wait to see the guninea pigs new home. what a lovely addition to your homestead. Hi! The weather is very crazy, we had a few sunny days now, but it will start raining again next week. Hopefully it will be beter soon for all of us! Thank you! Love your ponies. We get an array of surprise weather in western Canada never no what is around the bend. 😅 Dont forget to leave windows open and pets outside when burning or heating any wax accept bees wax as it isnt as toxic as the man made ones like soy wax.

You're so good at building things did you ever thinks of building some heavy-duty wooden shelves in your storage room? It would help tremendously for organizing that room. Just an idea.

You have an eye for beauty Nikky, your b-roll is stunning! I’m sorry to hear you and the neighbouring farms and farmers are experiencing such extreme weather. Climate change is terrifying and hopefully the people viewing this who aren’t already aware can wake up to issue too and we can create a change together.
Over here in Southern Ontario, Canada we are getting way above average heat for the time of year and frequent heavy rain and thunderstorms. It goes from being 28C one day to thunderstorms at 15-17C the next day. We had a 28C day in the middle of May and we usually don’t get heat like that until late July or early August, even then, this area didn’t reach such highs as frequently in the summer when my mum was growing up in the late 60s, early 70s.
Thank you so much, I try to improve my skills every week! I'm lucky there is so much beauty around me. You are very right, the problems are getting worse every year. We are trying to adapt, but it's hard. Sounds like in Southern Ontario you have some of the same problems as we do, with the crazy weather. I think we need to get used to it in a way, it's just really sad it's happening. My mom tells me the same thing, she has never seen things like this.

You probably already know about chopping wedges and may already have one. I just didn't see you using one so wanted to mention it. Breaks open your wood fantastic and no struggling to get your ax out of the wood. 😊 my husband taught me how to use them.

Sometimes, not really in my daily life, but I try to as regularly as possible, to improve it every week. I still have a long way to go. I try to match the music to the feelings in the video as much as I can, I'm really happy you like it! And I still need to work, CZcams and this lifestyle are not enough to support myself (yet).
