if you want more clear sond and high frequency in bass then sealed is best if you want deep bass than ported is best

If you don't have a dsp to adjust the delay of the sub , ported subwoofers sounds as if it is producing the bass that always lags behind the song. Sealed enclosures don't do that.

I don't think that ported box is properly tuned. Usually these off-the-shelf automotive boxes aren't calculated designs at all!
Finally, a video with real life examples
Sealed enclosure has more flat response but ported enclosure has more peaky response at certain tunning frequency.Both enclosures are best at their own places.
even if both are set to flat response, you can really tell which sub is ported. Seales sub is for top SQ.

In ported box the sound level of lower frequency can be heard louder than in sealed box because the woofer can move freely without air resistance.

I am a fan of sealed boxes,since 2005,that time i have 2 8 inch normal woofers of audiocon brand,then at that time i just closed air hole with clay or mseal,then u will not believe,that bass was house shaking,and most important thing, distortion was completely gone,nd when ever i played my speakers to outdoor,then i feel a little thump was increased.

@@coolmonkey52691. sealed subwoofer will give you tight and punchy bass,use enclosure as per manual, but sealed enclosure need powerfull amplifier for working.
2. Ported enclosure will give you deep low bass, but that is only good in car, not in home, because your neighbour will complaint. But if you want ported enclosure, then you should use 5.5 to 6.5 subwoofer, that will be good in home.
When I first tried sealed, I then realized, ported was muddy and made my head mad. I added another sealed, to add more sealed days to come

Sound quality always comes with sealed box and best recommend for music with clear lo and high. The ported box is a boomy and deep bass without any detail.

Try Throwing 3x 12in subs in large sealed box with amp at sub rated power .. It will play lower with better accuracy then single 12in ported
For car use sealed cabinet is better.But for outdoor sound go for ported.

In my country, Philippines, we used sealed subwoofers for PA. It hits really hard and realistic.

If u want sealed sub u require costly amplifier(mono amp) otherwise sound will not come properly.
If u want ported sub u can buy any 2 channel/4 channel amp.
Ported box and base tube both create Maddy sound but sealed create sharper and punchy sound.
Nope.. You need mono in both.. Sealed needs more power. Ported not.

Bro one thing i wanna ask you i have jbl 1300 watts woffer with worldtech amp but the boxed of woffer doesn't have port because of that i have gatting some headpain nd body pain as well as because of vibration nd sound quality in some normal bollywood songs its not give that much sound quality vibrations is more then tell me i should make a port is better or not for my problems please tell me dude

Apka sar Pioneer ke chalte dukh rha tha, as it a loud woofer, I experienced the same, but as I changed to rockford or DD, there was nothing as such, pioneer se bht sar dukhta hai

Ported box se meri dikky me bahot sound aati h bhar bhar ki. Air ki wajah se . Agar hatch back car h to sahi h. Agar sedan h to sealed box better hai.

I also have 2pcs 8inch both double magnet in a sealed box in my car. Honda crv 2003. Sealed sounds better but i think if you more louder bass go for ported. But I do really love the sealed box more accurate bass and quality. I am also thinking what if build another box for ported. One ported and one sealed.
