Whilst I can accept that hygiene isn’t paramount in SE Asian countries, as well as in the Middle East, please do not delude yourself that it does not exist throughout the world. This video is transparent and that’s the reason some are most critical, but in the U.K. where I reside in a salubrious area I have seen rats ( not mice) come out of restaurants, shocking as it might be to all. But people still dine at these expensive restaurants !!! What is that saying “ What the eye does not see, the heart should not grieve.”
Yes, because it is visible it is off putting, yet there is a contradiction in that some would be prepared to indulge in the food !! We are so use to our own germs here thst if our delicate stomachs were exposed to that kind of street food, as much as I love it very much, we will be seriously ill.
To conclude, these people are not on any state benefits unlike the Westerners, and work hard for their living so be tolerant and give much credit for their honest day’s work, rather than be judgemental about the hygiene. It’s part of their culture, and if you look closely the oil is clean , and the surroundings likewise. Be tolerant and from my point of view I enjoyed the video. Thank you.
UK has some of the highest food hygiene standards on the planet, I get what you're saying but to attempt to conflate that with what is shown in the video is disingenuous at best.
До сих пор не понимаю, почему я перед едой мою банан, а потом ещё и чищу его. На грязной скамейке настругал немытый бананчик и в тесто с маслом дезинфицировать, ну что сказать молодцы.

This is normal practice in Bangladesh. The preparation of street foods (or even at home or restaurants) are unsanitary. I worked there for several years. Display foods for sale have no cover amidst of dust and dirts.
