    Chris thanks for describing and showing us what you do inside the ECU, there are a lot of tuners that keep that stuff secret. Got my first mail in flash from you about a month ago and you have a customer for life. Very happy with the results and quick turnaround!
    Edit: Chris I think it would be very interesting if you could do a video on your story, how you got into bikes, racing, the ups, the downs, to where you are now.

      These sport tourers like this and the Ninja 1000SX are limited by gearing and a governor. The 1000SX with exhaust/tune and longer gearing can hit 170 as well. Personally a big fan of these sportier sport tourers compared to a lot of the modern tourers which are basically ADV bikes with cast 17’s (looking at you Versys). I like having a little forward lean, and these style bikes feel a little better in a corner.

Made around 82 ft-lb torque at about 2500 rpm, just crazy torque. Engine was smooth as butter and pulled like a turbine engine.
      Wish Japan would turn out some 1200cc+ 4-cylinder naked bikes, inexpensive without all the fancy superbike nannies, for the common buyer. You cannot get an inexpensive big-cubes 4cylinder anymore. All that's available is FJR1300, Hayabusa, ZX-14R. That's it. Everything else is 1,000 cc and needs to be revved like mad to make torque and power. The days of feeling like a V8 is shoving you below 4000 RPM? They don't exist anymore, outside $18,000 and a lot of aftermarket tuning.

    Does a functioning pair valve affect the accuracy of the air fuel ratio when tuning?

    • @exothermal.sprocket
      @exothermal.sprocket Před 2 lety +6

      The only function of the PAIR valve is to feed a catalytic converter with fresh O2, which enters the exhaust system post-engine. Remove the Cat, the PAIR serves zero function. Some people leave them installed which continues to fill the exhaust with O2 even after tune, after O2 sensor code removed, after cat removed. It creates combustion noises in the exhaust (popping and crackling when the throttle is closed). Chris would have to confirm whether the sniffer in the exhaust is affected (mapped air/fuel curve on the dyno) with the PAIR still flowing O2 into the exhaust. I believe it would be. He might be compensating one way or another.

    Got a 2019 Katana, same engine same configuration as the gsxs, I'm concerned if my mpg will suffer after tuning, since it's a 12L tank on the Kat
    my range is about 120miles/tank now, any lower it'll be ridding the bike 😅

    HELP ME PLEASE!? I'm buying the 2023 GSX-S1000 I've been looking for the Yoshi muffler/pipe in this video and can't find it even on the Yoshimura website??? I want this exact setup (Yoshi pipe with arrow headers) or this Yoshi pipe with yoshi stainless headers??? CAN ANYONE HELP? I'm in Australia. I want to put the system on then send my ECU into Moore Mafia. Also recommended air box and filter alterations for the above GSX-S1000 naked???????
    Edit - can find a Yoshi muffler on their website for my model but it looks completely different to the one in this video...

    2016-17 Gsx s 1000 /f makes 4 to 5 hp less than 2018 on up... In 2018 Suzuki added Vent holes between the SCEM-plated bores to reduce pumping losses. Thats the difference in the 2 bikes 🏍, white bike is 2017

      I've been watching your videos and seeing how the stock ECU computer restricts a lot of the power of the bike. I'm thinking of someday looking into getting the full exhaust from the M4 . From what I saw on your video it sure make a lot of differences between the stock one.
