That looks so much better than it looks at competitions with all that makeup, hairstyle and sparkling outfits
But the guys shoes are kind of disturbing for latin XD
Lino Vierheilig I’m a Latin Dancer and no its really comfy i can wear them for days they aren’t like the women’s high heels
Asurel Tuffzzon I’m also a Latin dancer but dancing in trainer like shoes is the worst I think it’s a matter of opinion
@@filiprozmaring9834 you don't understand dancesport
@@asurel_ I'm a Latin Dancer and no its really disadvantageous for hips movements
I love this. Dancesport needs and should promote itself much more in this natural relaxed fashion. This would make me want to take the sport up.
AGREED, let's share the vid and make it happen~
I don´t actually like it... it could look way better haha
Lino Vierheilig. That's ok. I just wonder if you might elaborate on what it is you don't actually like or what could make it better. As it is your comment really is just a statement with no substance really. Who knows I might agree with you.
Joe Testa I mean it’s okay that they are trying to dance couples dance in a more street, chilled matter. But it’s made to be danced precisely and with specific rules. It just looks a bit off this way. Also you can see the dancers potential! Also dancing in sneakers isn’t good for your ankles in those dance styles.
If they want to take couple to the street they should do salsa or bachata
Lino Vierheilig. Thank you for this meaningful comment, now I know what was behind the statement and what you say makes sense. This shows its coming with a degree of dance understanding. I don't disagree but dancesport has a dilemma in many countries around the world. A declining interest and numbers in dancesport. As one of the worlds older dance styles, how does it stay relevant and appealing in this new world of computers and to a young demographic, when its competing with so many more dance styles and activities today which didn't exist when I started in the sport. That answer is a really tough one and such an involved subject, because this isn't about dancing, its about marketing and promotion and survival in a competitive environment, which is an area of some expertise for me. I agree, this isn't the perfect picture either these two male dancers are not the best ones to promote a relaxed style of dance, especially Andrei who even in this situation looks to me like he's competing. That's just Andrei but its the wrong look for this. It could be argued that dancesport here is trying to appear something its not. But it shows that dancesport style when liberated from all the rules and other things doesn't have to be confined to a competition dance floor. I think this was perhaps the aim of this and in that I have to give kudos to dancesport for showing initiative. The way I would show this sport is have the dancers dressed in stylish streetwear with correct dance shoes and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING OVERDONE and get dancers who are artistically rhythmical and musical and have them focus the dancing on that not the high energy so much. Nor would I have these overly competitive Ferrari types. I wonder if that might not appeal to the non dancesport public even more than this. Also dancing this style in heels can be out right dangerous and have done far more damage to a heel than a sneaker ever could. You may not agree with any of this but I'm offering it as food for thought and a different perspective. Cheers.
All good , but if you have some dancesport knowledge you know there is no way this is an improvization ✌️
🤣🤣🤣 Well said!
Yes! It’s just so well memorized and practiced they didn’t need to warm up to nail it lol
As a dancer who’s studied ballroom and partner dances I can tell you that this could be improvised by an experienced well versed dancer
Joyce fernandez, lol. No chance... these are their competition routines, look them up and no one improvises side by side synchronised dancing unless you are telepathic
They are probs using thier own routines but there are a lot of couples out there who can dance latin improvised
This way of promoting is soooooo relatable, full Latin dance regalia is hard for the laypeople to understand what dancesport is about
Ok, if someone dances samba like this here in Brazil people would say that they are crazy kkkkkk. This kind of dance is just for the sport, we don't actually dance like this.
This is a very good way of bringing Latin Dance to the people. I think it will become more popular to many youngsters by doing it this way!
professional ballroom dancers) I recognize them by their even posture and clear movements) bravo)
The rest of the people around are ballroom dancers too :).
Uncle1221 They are world champions tho. 😂
Imagine to see an event like this with the 2019 champions Ferdinando Iannaccone & Yulia Musikhina, Armen Tsaturyan & Svetlana Gudyno, Gabriele Goffredo & Anna Matus and Riccardo Cocchi & Yulia Zagoruychenko
I loooove the 2nd song.. you guys are always awesome thanks for the inspiration to my dancer in me much love to all
I LOVE THIS!
absolutely magnificent! *-*
This was so much fun to watch ...
excuse me, but all I was seeing is Andrej, really. He is rocking here, outshining everyone. Even when he is not leading!!
I love watching this... Wish I can dance like them
Maybe one day with some practice! 😉

Please bring Armen Tsutrayan!!
I do the competition more. But this definitely a good way to promote ballroom dance.
Ballroom dance! Really none of them dance samba like a brazilian and even the cha cha seems artificial. Latin dances i doubt ?
Let them pull random strangers with no dance experience. That is true Lead skill
🤣impossible
@@chocolatnoir1108 With the ballroom skills I have acquired and experience, I can literally take a random girl and make her look pro ;)
@@Zayerlord well congratulations. the world definitely needs more ppl like you 🤩😍🤠👍
What a great idea!
😍👍
Too short...❤❤❤❤
its not an improvisation its just a choreography lol
It could be if the ladies were good followers. If you saw Dancesport compititions many change partners (dance with someone they never met before) ON THE FLOOR in front of everyone :)
loloshka sadasd. Absolutely correct this isn't improvised. Its very difficult if not near impossible to improvise such advanced choreography, especially solo parts. Also few dancesport dancers can improvise well if at all, except for basic syllabus steps. Having said that and I think you would agree that this casual, stripped back feel and look is a good way to promote dancesport to the general non dancesport public, don't you think?
@@joetesta3352 Ricardo can do this though :)
Loloshka sadasd. When you have danced virtually since you were in diapers, grown up in a dance studio lived, ate and breathed dancing your entire life, danced at his level and with the same extraordinary partner for some 15years, won ten world titles, then perhaps he likely could, although I have to say in all the years ( and I go back to his amateur days) I've never seen him or anyone for that matter 100% improvise this level and type of choreography at this speed and with this unity. If you know anywhere I may see it please let me know, I be most keen to see it. Other than some at the very upper level of dancesport I cant think of too many that I would confidently say could completely improvise this exact choreography and make it look totally natural without looking and referencing one another. Very few I suspect, but hey, Dance gods can do almost anything.
I don’t think it’s completely improv, but I think a large part of it is.
Good! Street dance
There s not improvisación, or dance street. Allí them are studio dancers, profesional dancers, you note that For the Long steps, specially For the male dancers ( not latín). Maybe is a promotion of a new choreography.
Dancing on the pavement doesn't make the dance "street" or "urban"
They should include BACHATA , and SALSA true Latin street couple dances.
I had never seen that type of dance in Latin America
algun latino vio ese baile en latinoamerica?
Noticed there is no twerk
The first couplee is liiit
Someone knows shoe brand of girl with short hair
Most likely, she wears Supadance or International practice ballroom shoes. These are the most popular and high-quality dance shoe brands.
При всём уважении к Вере, в их паре смотришь только на Гусева
Логично, потому что Гусев - сверхтоп
где румба!?
🤔😂
Пресный танец. Одни позирования и искуственные эмоции лица
since is a urban latin dance battle why is playing a brazilian song in an american version??????
This is only “Latin” or “urban” because those are words that the ballroom dance world uses to describe some of its activities. Has nothing to do with what most non-dancing normal people think of as “Latin” or “urban”. Carry on 🤓
JazzFan74 this is “urban” because it’s being done in an urban(city)/street setting, and not at a competition. It’s “latin” because the dances styles were created in Latin America (samba and cha cha), or with inspiration from Latin American dance and Cuban motion (jive).
Well said
Sorry rbest but ...
NOPE
do your homework first
@@riana4691 To be clear, I'm not commenting on whether you think it's "valid" or "good" -- that, to me, is a matter of taste. My point in commenting is to let non-experts know that this is ballroom dance, not what anyone of Latino descent in New York or Los Angeles, for example, who grew up watching their parents dance at home to music on the home stereo, would think of as "urban", "latin" or "street". It's ballroom dance, danced in casual clothes outdoors.
JazzFan74 but both would be urban latin. This video is, and what you experienced is. Even if you wanna say it’s not urban, you can’t deny that it is latin because the styles literally came from Latin America. I understand you may do different styles in you family, but there are dozens of styles of dance that came from Latin America and Latin communities, so they all would be considered Latin. I believe it’s important to learn about the history of the dance styles you are doing, and learning that samba comes from Brazil, cha cha comes from Cuba, and how they spread around the world is essential for anyone who wants to do those styles. I don’t want to discredit your experiences, because I know they’re true. But urban Latin is a term that fits for many dances, because Latin American dancers created so many styles, including the ones in this video
They should title these events Fake Latin Battles: Latin Dancers Doing Choreography Outdoors
There is little to nothing improvised about any of this.
agree😁👍 battles should be spontaneously. while all routines from a couple must be prepared or practiced for months even some cpl use their routine for years😅
Gusev is a pain.. It's all about himself. He'd be better off dancing on his own.
검은옷들 다 한국인같네 ㅋㅋ 저분들 춤추는것도 궁금함
Nop to much
I love ballroom, hip hop, and forms of dance. The music and dancing doesn’t fit. It looks nice. Just saying as a solo and partner dancer. I like the music just not the dancing. Honestly most partner dancers got no freestyle or even style for that matter. Come and battle me those in the video or whomever.
Sorry but Ballroom dancers Need to learn what improv is and what Street dancing is actually like, before saying that this is Improv street dance... Sorry but Casual clothing without make up for men and glitter and spray tan do Not qualify:
This is Not improv
This is Not street dancing
That’s okay but: Apples & Oranges...
This is just a tiny bit more relaxed, competitive, International, Latin dancing.
Please know what you’re talking about, WDSF, before Misnaming the title of your video and misleading people.
Thank you.
These two couples, are the ones that have less grace when dancing !! .. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
So true. They are not rhythmic enough for this music.
t4t14n4 Look who’s talking haha. They are world champions tho. Haha
Kobe Jungco I swear, everybody is such a pro and they dont even know these 2 couples
@@debc6396 i kindda agree with you. maybe they re too excited being in the centre of attention? but wes must remember that each person/ couple has certain style or signature moves/ showmanships.
estan sobre explotandoo nuestro baile ademas asi no se baila, muy bruzco el baile
nobody dance this samba in Brazil. this is only in usa.
I agree except that I believe the dancers are Russian. Ballroom was created for the European limitations of not being able to flow or move their hips. It's a Waltz applied to every international dance form. So unnatural.
The first male dancer was very annoying wanting to be in every frame. Allow the other coupler to dance and have the spotlight 🙄
That is not samba 😡😡😡
Nice ! - Could Andrey have been more sloppy looking?? :( (hair and clothes)
Moonrise 361. I have kids and they think this look Andrei is proudly sporting is dressing up. Its cool they tell me. I tell them I threw away jeans like that. Now they pay big money for them. They call it intergenerational change, go figure. I wear something similar to Andrei when I go fishing on my boat. I also recall Bob Denver(Gilligan) sporting a similar wardrobe on Gilligan's Island, so this look is not new but back then its something you only wore on a deserted island. LOL.

Deadass boring battle have you seen an all afro salsa dancers theres splits air turns lit stuff what is this ooooo as a dancer this ain't brah
As a Latino I am horrified to watch this. Don't know what the hell they are doing but it definitely is not Latin dancing, not even close. This form of dancing is so unnatural and uptight, the complete opposite of what these Afro-rhythms are all about. Don't get me wrong, sure they are dancing, but leave the word Latin out of it. Call it whatever else you want.
This is International Latin American Ballroom style. Dancesport. Competitive Ballroom dancing. Weather you like it or not.
@@lav2dance You're right. I don't like it.
That’s not latin dancing lol that’s ballroom garbage!!
