When people say to me, skip that country, it’s not worth it it’s like when they say to you, don’t read that book it’s not worth it. I always do the opposite, and believe me, it is worth it. Nice video my friend. Guatemala is a beautiful country.
I could not agree with you more, I always do the opposite as well. We will have a lot more videos coming out from Guatemala soon. Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated!
Hello 👋🤗 my friend very nice video of my country Guatemala you and your wife or girlfriend very welcome anytime I really don't know if you went to Antigua Atitlan Petén Flores Tikal and others very beautiful places of my country thank you for talk very nice of Guatemala sincerely Edgar Leonel Rojas Bendfeldet Back again Guatemala is waiting for you and your wife or girlfriend excuse me she is very beautiful gorgeous and sexy lady please don't take me wrong Leo
As a Guatemalan I want tourism that gives opportunities and employment to many people who may be in need but also in the back of my mind I like it that it is still somewhat secluded and secret from big tourist industry. It is like the Koo I noor Jewel, you want to keep it safe because these hidden treasures in Guatemala are very vulnerable to over exploration and eco cultural degradation. Nothing like Cancun or Ibiza. More like a baby Louvre and Amazon combined, better kept safe and distant for future generations. Great video! 👍 💙 🇬🇹
Thank you for the kind words my friend! I couldn't agree more, but with so many beautiful things to see in Guatemala, I believe more and more tourists will be coming.
Nice video!! Gracias por visitar mi país Guatemala 🇬🇹 y por sus comentarios!!❤

@@nocheckinbags yeah thats the kind of info other nations puts out about Guatemala we Guatemalans dont worry much about it as matter of fact doesnt even bother anyone but we feel sort of dissapointed a lots of tourist's come to Guatemala and skip the city althogether and go straight to other places which is also good while Guatemala city has tons of things to do and places to see and the saddest parts people comes from far out places and skip nice places to see in the city, glad you made that good choice to spend some of your time en Guatecity
You visited the city in a holliday, good idea. Those streets are impossible to walk in a normal day. It is a beautiful city, the weather is the best. It has problems as many other latin american city, but I hope you liked it.
Definitely enjoyed the city a lot, I highly recommend it to anyone who will ask, but yes there are issues and things to avoid.
@@nocheckinbags yes agreed, one of biggest things i recommend you should avoid are our sorry As, Polititians🤣🤣🤣🤣 no shame for me to share it, but one day soon that will change and Guatemala will flourish even granduorslly

Hi I love your video. Nice comments about Guatemala 🇬🇹. I live in The States and we have good and bad places. I think that instead of listening or reading the bad about any country we should visit those places and find out for ourselves. Saludos.
Exactly, it is best to go see a country for yourself and seeing how it actually is on the ground.

Nice (and long) walk through the city. The guy you passed by @12:55 was the city mayor. And yes, people live in cayala, those were apartment buildings.
Wow no way, I would have never known that was the mayor. Was it the guy in the white sweater taking a picture with those two people? And yes after the fact/saying that I realized that lol. Cayala is a very beautiful and interesting district, did some reading up on it afterwards and learned a lot.
@@nocheckinbags Yes, that's him.. The building right there is city hall. You took a shot of the sign "Muni Guate" a bit later. His name is Ricardo Quiñonez.
@Luis Castillo Okay very interesting, thanks for the information my friend!
@@nocheckinbags look at you friend you took a pic of a very famous guy and did'nt even knew you're a very lucky guy, made history my man, he he 🤣now you got a pic of that Ahole

Great video. Thank you very much for sharing
Thank you for the kind words, we will have much more coming out soon of the rest of Guatemala.
In cayala lot of people lives there there are apartments, condominiums this can cost overUS $1million each. but theres also homes in the cayala neigborhoods near surroundings areas can also cost you big bucks, but there are other zones with beautiful communities where most of the riches people lives but if you dont have that kind of money there are good and beautiful and safe communities where you can buy a comfortable house under $150,000, it all boils down in how thick is your pocket
Holly week the carpet to pass the prosecion

Is it possible to find a studio or small 1 bedroom apartment near Guatemala City for under $300 dollars a month? In area that isn’t life threatening dangerous for a foreigner! Guatemala looks so beautiful.
I don't know the answer to that my friend, but something to look into for sure!
Hello there, where did you stay in Guatemala city? I plan to stay 3 to 4 nights cause I think it can be very interesting. Looking at Zona 10 or Zona 14.
We stayed on the edge of Zone 9 bordering zone 4. Which was good distance / walking to many different places!
💚 OMG! YOU WERE IN THE BIGGEST DAY FOR GUATEMALAN RELIGIOUS "PROCESSIONS", THE BIGGEST IN THE WORLD...DARN YOU MISSED OUT A GREAT PART OF THE CULTURE. 🇬🇹
Definitely very interesting to be there during Holy Week on Good Friday!
Ya guys missed to spots.. so close yet so far.. is bar by the cathedral where el che became communist ( not that works) and the central market.. just behind the cathedral.. all kinds of Guatemalan foods and souvenirs.. ya missed it, big time.. stay true north!!!
Yeah we walked by that, did not film it though. It was closed the day we were there unfortunately.
Lol.. looks a this gringos. ( i know, true nort) ya went to the capital of Central America in the dead day..no one there, they are either at the beach or antigua guate.).you run into the mayor of Guatemala and not even noticed. He was taking pics.. lol. How funny. Well. Ya had the chance to the capital when no traffic jams. Good luck in SC( shemuc shapey)
Lol, yes a very interesting day for us. Semuc Champey video comes out this Sunday.
Does Guatemala City have any railroads & rail service?
We didn't take it, but I'm pretty sure there is a subway system
@@nocheckinbags Do they have freight railroads or no?
@RailfanEric in Guatemala yes for sure there is a railroad and freight system.
Not really on your comment, 5B ATMs work perfectly fine using your visa card. I used my debit card always works
Yes I agree, pulling out cash we never had an issue, the only issue was the currency exchange.
Stereotypes are what makes people get shocked when it comes to explore places. I was also shocked when I first walked through the Los Angeles hoods, the ghettos in Detroit and Nashville. I was so impacted cuz the USA rarely ever shows that on the news or movies so we all think the USA is all perfection. but it isn't and in fact our cities aren't quite different. What makes the difference is the amount of wealthiest neighbourhoods. While in the. USA more and larger neighbourhoods, in the South America you sill find some but they are less and not as big as the ones in other countries but there's nice or wealthy neighbourhoods everrywhere all around the globe.
Yes, very true, there are many beautiful and wealthy places all over South America and the world, of course. Our goal with this channel is to show people how it really is on the ground in all places, we want to include the good and the bad. We want to encourage people to travel and see how places are for themselves rather than what the media depicts it to be.
Great perspective of the city…!!!! Guess nothing bad would happen to you! Your looks are a deterrent to the bad people.. not so for the locals, locals would be easy pray…!! But still, there’s always and adventurous criminal may want to take a shot.. so be careful..!! But seems you’re street wise..!!!!!
Always trying to be as careful as possible my friend, appreciate the kind words!
Sweet home guatemala 🇬🇹
A beautiful country to see for sure!
