This video was a blast to make! Thank you guys for letting me explain some of my weird knives to you!
I am grateful to be here 🙏 your awesome Melissa!!!!
Got thru TSA and found that I still a knife on me. After full body scan and having my pack taken apart.
Thank you for showing these knives! I really enjoyed it.
Definitely NOT a fan.
@@TheAverageCriminal I second that. 👍
Is that Lara Croft?
As close as we'll get in real life!
Elektra survived the Daredevil comic 😂
It's Lara from Dr. Zhivago.
Melissa Frontwoods's sister.😅

And her knife collection is mind staggering.
Great video!
Thank you for watching!God bless you!
Thank you Brother, Blessings to you as well.
Jason trying to only look at the knives...😁
yeah, i'm old, and it IS distracting.
Hey! Me knives are up here! 😉
Jason is so lucky to make a video with Melissa. Two experts making sense.
Indeed! Thanks for watching!
Thats Melissa backwoods survivalist and knife enthusiast 😎
I was wondering why he was talking to her on video.
@@stevepest4143 i would talk to her!
@@andrew-ij1or me too. But usually in this type video you get introduced to the other person and why you should listen to what they are saying.
Since there was none of that it made me curious
Recommend to always fly without a "weapon". Easy enough to pick something up at any destination and dispose of it before you leave or after it is used. A "spy" knife should never be anything you just can't lose.
It’s so easy to fly with weapons I fly with my Glock and knifes all the time. It’s super convenient and since my CCP is recognized in most states it the best option for me. It’s free to fly with firearms the only time you may have an extra fee is if you are flying with more then 5 guns and at the most I fly with two I sometimes take my ARP with me
Walmarts have metastasized into most communities and they always have a decent selection in their sporting goods department of inexpensive, but quality knives. And you could mail it home before your return flight if you like it and don’t have checked baggage.
Wow this is America 🇺🇸 us in Australia 🇦🇺 we are not allowed to carry anything to protect ourselves 😢 Maybe they will allow us girls in the future to carry something to protect ourselves after all those recent horrific attacks
Wooow I didn't know that Australia was like that, honestly!! Very disappointing... I hope that the politicians there open their minds, and then they allow u there to carry something to defend yourself very soon 🙏🏻
@@pepperoni__5you can carry as long as U have a lawful excuse...as long as the cops believe it :-/
This is like watching Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) and CIA Agent Jason Hudson (COD Black Ops) collaborate in a video 🔥🔥
Thank you for watching!

Contagious
Aw thanks!

two of my favorites
Those hair braids look tacticool
Something like that.
I hide knives in them.
@@MelissaBackwoods you could hide a sword in there
That key knife I bought years ago from Harbor Freight. It was on my key ring for 2-3 flights. I didn't realize I had it, but I got thru the TSA check every time.
I'm in love, woman that likes cutlery!
Melissa Backwoods
@@bowieupland6112 she is lovely
Wish I could braid my hair half as well as she does. I really appreciate channels like her that also give women good tips for self defense. So many self defense creators focus on bogus aikido BS that does more harm than good for women looking to protect themselves when a weapon would have less of a learning curve and actually be effective.
Can u please post her website? Thxs
@@lovewhitey4462 I dont know if she has a website but her channel is MelissaBackwoods Knives and Gear

Bravo Melissa.👏..the passion shines sharper than the blades...hi frm London....🦬
Thank you for watching Andrew! Stay safe and God bless!
Great video, but the editing is a bit annoying, especially the blurry stuff
Yes, and then the name of the knife appears exactly on the very few seconds the knife is being shown, completely covering it. It could have been done differently.
@@31leoceara I was going to say exactly the same thing! Very distracting
It was great watching you two work together. I watch both your channels and was surprised when I saw this collaboration video.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!
Didn’t really get a god look at each blade and the brand label covered them up also.
Seemed very hyper and excited but I’d prefer to have had a close up of each blade, it’s handle and cost of each one.
Do NOT cross that woman!
She k1lls
She says "spy knife" - I drink.
Hey now, I only said it like 74 times.
I live near where the arrow landed. I carry a knife clipped into my pocket and have done since the 80's - no one has ever questioned it tbh.
So it's official - I'm a Spy!!!! I must be good too 'cos even I don't know.
Great video but please fix your mic - you are tough to hear (she is clear though)
My fav is the SocP dagger for appendix carry. and you can hold it with a firearm with no issues. and it comes with a trainer.
She's awesome. I wonder if she showed you the morphing Karambits and switch knives?
Ohh Melissa ❤
Excited about this video Melissa and Jason 🎉😊
Thank you so much Fred! God bless
@@JasonHansonSpyBriefing IS SHE WEARING A MAXPEDITION LEG BAG?
Melissa is great, true enthusiasm for the subject.
Very cool, my favourite was the carabiner knife and the money clip!
Wish they didn blur the images while displaying the name of the knife, I couldn't see how the carabiner knife looked when the blade was not deployed
Money is not meant to control people rather it is meant to be put to work producing more money for you. You cannot build wealth without putting money in its rightful place.
Very possible! especially at this moment. Profits can be made in many different ways, but such intricate transactions should only be handled by seasoned market professionals.
Having an investment advisor is the best way to go about the stock market right now. I was going solo, but it wasn't working. I've been in touch with an advisor for a while now, and just last year, I made over 80% capital growth minus dividends.
Finding yourself a good broker is as same as finding a good wife, which you go less stress, you get just enough with so much little effort at things

I'm surprised that you just mentioned and recommend Mr Jeff Clark. I met him at a conference in 2018 and we have been working together ever since.
If you get the chance check out the Kershaw Blur it's a pretty good EDC knife, it's very well made but be aware that some Kershaw knives are made in China I think. The one I got from Amazon was about $75 bucks and says Kershaw on the handle. The Kershaw Blur made here in America says, Kershaw Speedsafe USA on the handle; both knives have the same blade steel and materials but as I said, one is made here one isn't. The Blur that is made here is around $45 dollars more, so be aware of that. I like the Blur I got it is solid with no blade play and the detent is pretty good. The only thing I don't like about it is it doesn't have a deep pocket carry clip. It has Tech-Trac inlays and I love it except it will rip your pocket to pieces over time when deploying it. 😂 One Kershaw Blur owner said he took the pocket clip off and just keeps it in his pocket. If you already know about the Kershaw Blur then, 🤔 Cool! 😎👍
Melissa Backwoods. That was a nice a funny video well I'm watching in line.

Awesome to see Jason together with Melissa !!! Luv it

Awesome video, really well edc knives, keep the videos coming. Have an awesome an amazing day.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
be cool to have some links to the knifes :)
I have a SOG key knife on my key ring. One day I went to the county clerk's building to discuss my property tax bill. I had to empty my pockets. The guard recognized this right away !
I removed it from the key ring, went back to my car and left it there. I was allowed into the building afterwards.
11" Italian stiletto FS comando
Gerber guardian any push dagger and non metallic knives.
Her hair braids steal this video. Pretty girl !
Thanks for the video.
You'd get more traffic to this video if you included a hashtag with her name. I don't know whether I'm subscribed to her, but I've seen many of her videos. She's a very attractive young lady.
As a knife, I like the dagger, but I don't know whether that wrap-around strap would really keep that knife secure. As an ankle-carry knife, that one has appeal. When I kayaked a bit, I had a dive knife that I carried on my calf.
I'm not a big fan of having my fingers in those rings, but the poker knife is cool as a small utility or defense knife.
I wouldn't have much interest in the pocket sai as a knife, but they would be neat photography props.
I have one of the fake Sharpie tools. I halfway wish that they would include a few small openings and a little bit of ink. If someone challenged carrying one, being able to make a little line on paper would make the tool seem more like a dried-up Sharpie.
The pen knives don't appeal to me. I think a hard stab with a good metal pen would do just as much damage. The pen doesn't need to be a "tactical pen." A regular, old-fashioned, "dress" pen is made to be strong and has a little weight. If driven with force into an attacker, it will do damage. That kind of pen sacrifices only a small amount of effectiveness and removes all of the legal risk.
The fake pencil spikes look cool. I don't see them having any real value in terms of being stealth because they are metal. However, they look cool. I went to that website, and everything he sells is far outside my price range.
I don't know whether I will ever trust the mechanisms of OTF knives. I would fear that they wouldn't open when I really needed them.
The rest of this collection is cute but not all that appealing to me.
You both need to check out the Para-claw by Outdoor Edge.
Were can I find some of these? I love the Pocket sai's.
That's Melissa Backwoods!
Does she have website? Can you post link please?

so when i travel i carry the pressure cult nomad. just add a standard box cutter blade and it becomes a fixed blade knife, without the blade its tsa friendly. its my edc most of the time. just because of the way it feels and how slim it is.
i love melissa
JoergSprave is working on a similar button lock design I hope one day you can colab with him on Germanys anti gun laws.
The Spyderco Street Beat designed by Fred Perrin is a good fixed blade EDC knife.
Almost everything by Fred Perrin is good for carry. 👍
Thank you for sharing!
I need to do some shopping
challenge would like you to make a knife carry for the UK
None of these would be legal in the UK. If you plan to carry unlawfully, then the type of knife is not as relevant.
0:55 "I cannot either confirm nor🤠🙊🙉🙈deny..." love it 🤘somewhat misquoted but catch my drift 👍
I’ve married Mellisa about 947 times in my head.
No links to any of the items?
Its not a "spy knife". Its a fishing knife. They can't arrest you for going fishing.
The wrist mounted gravity knife in The Marathon Man with Dustin Hoffman was insane!
"...Is it safe"? 🥶
@@user-im9ov9ud7m I always ask my dentist that when i sit down in the chair. LOL
Yes!!! I have long wanted to make one of those for the longest time. Was it released solely by gravity, or spring activated? I seem to recall him bending his wrist back to release it somehow, but it's been years since I've watched that movie.
Time to watch it again.

Pretty lady, like those knives, thanks
She's a Badass! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
my favorite "undetectable" tactical is...my Zebra 304 pen.
It is nice that the poker has a finger hole; you do 'Not' want to lose your knife in a self-defense situation. Thank you for the review and I also thank, Jason for his knowledge of self-defense tactics; this world is really getting crazy as we all know. 🤔 God save the Queen! 🤔 Okay, I'm American but you know what I mean. 😂✌️

Good video. Subtitles are okay, subtitle sound effects not so much.
California.?
@@user-im9ov9ud7m I have no idea what you mean by that. If you mean do I live there, no, Florida. And I like that other guys Lara Croft comment, very apt
So you have only comment like California, @@MAWA2024 , how come.?
Cold Steel has a whole line of grivory knives, including one that looks like a hairbrush. I have several.
My wife kept mace on her keychain FOREVER and they said throw it away lol
Years ago, I had a pepper-spray "pen." I had it on me when arriving at the courthouse once to appear as a witness in a civil case. I placed it, along with my other "metals" in the basket as I went through the detector, after which the armed guard gave it back to me. I handed it back and told him what it was and that I needed it in the security hold until I was done.
He was pretty impressed and admitted he was totally ready to "let that go through."
I also recently attended a county fair with a walk-through metal detector and armed security with wands. Despite their presence, I still wandered the fair with my wife and daughter, and had not one but two North American Arms .22 caliber revolvers on my person.
You'd be surprised what can sometimes be slipped into a supposedly-secure environment. ;-)
I went to Norway oslo military shop and brought an viking arrow head they actually gave it to me as gift, it was not sharp I wear it as amulet necklace at airport security caught it but guy allowed me to take it in the plane, later in my life when cops busted me they toke my arrow from me counting it as poking weapon just so they can charge extra cash , it was all my memory from my Norwegian lover I have left 😔
Collab with my favorite knife girl❤

brotha jason, great guest n vid n new insight about new blades n such , i do not travel at all so i like em bigger usually blade wise n i use mine for defense only , not cutting , multi-tools are for the cutting , can you post her y.t. channel link please , thanks n talk soon brotha > tom !
Must be nice ..when I came home from Afghanistan I got stopped by TSA and ended up with a case with home land security..over one Live round customs missed in my bag and a pocket knife while in my marine dress blues ..smh as if I was a fuckin terrorist
The dude cant shut up. Terrible interaction. He wont let her speak, he keeps interrupting. 😢
Jason sweet guest...Purty lady. 😊👍😘
This video is not for people living in NYC. I think the official law here allows for non-locking folding knives that are under 4", but theoretically even if you get caught with one of those and don't have a solid reason for having it on you (self defense is not considered a solid reason here) the officer could potentially arrest you if he feels like it. And God forbid if you ever have to use one of those for self defense here.
5:42 Is the non metallic knife's btand the Black Triangle Group?
Yes!
I need to upgrade to a better money clip, you know one with more money in it
Ahh yes, i love a good finger ring
If you ever been beaten to the pulp with head injuries you know onlly basic instinct punches will help you to survive ..if you will engage with these knifes into knife fight with expert you will end bad. We in my army use knifes i can't promote becouse they are illegal and they work (close combat tested)
Would be nice to have links to these knives. Nice little collection. TSA is a bunch of criminals anyway.
A piece of Lexan would make a good knife
I hope everyone realizes that the CIA doesn't have James Bond type officers. The British still have Spike Teams, their modern era Sandbaggers. I suspect Jason is using this mystique to hype his persona and vids. I'm not very familiar with Jason but I will certainly research his status and bio.
“You call that a knife? 🔪 Now thats a knife”- McDundee aka Crocodile Dundee
Yeah well. In a lot of states if you get caught carrying most of these knifes, you're going away for a long time.
Wow she is good. Maybe you can do a knife throwing colab 😅
brilliant
Thank you and God bless you and your family!
Why do you define spy knife as one that's legally concealeable ? A spy is in fact quite frequently a law breaker or at least law ignorer. I mean that they are stealing classified information and the like.
I'd think the ability to conceal the knife. Would by far more important than the legality of concealing the knife
