This is the reality of Amani's journey month by month. The video shows how this aggressive brain tumour affected Amani but also the terrible side effects from the long term use of dexamethasone steroids. This drug prolonged Amani's life whilst also destroying it in the process.
As a family we had many many happy times throughout these 22 months ...Amani made sure of that! We treated every day as the blessing that it was. Amani truly set an amazing example of how to be resilient and determined whilst also caring for others throughout your toughest days.

My son passed away from GBM 14 months after diagnosis. He left behind a devastated family. 3 children age 14, 8 and 3 years old. He was a Det Inspector in the Met Police, a very brave and a very kind person. We miss him. 😥😥

I have been thinking of Amani since morning. Followed her journey all along. I suffered from a brain tumour 6 years ago. She has influenced so many around the world. Hats off to her parents for showing us what strength is. U will remain in my thoughts for a long time. Its not a disease, disease is a pharma term, acidosis is the cause of bad health. Acidosis is the over acidification of the blood and organs from an acidic diet and lifestyle. No pathogen can live in an oxygen rich environment, all pathogens are anaerobic (live in live oxygen environment).. German Dr otto warbug won the nobel prize in 1931 for proving this. This is quite literally my younger brothers story. Everything from the weight gain to the paralysis in the left side of his body. He just got on with it though, we didn't even know he had lost the ability to use his left arm until I saw him lifting up his arm to wash his hand one day. He was only 10 when he passed away though but it was hard to believe he was that young. He was so mature for his age, more like a 16 year old the way he just dealt with everything. ♥

know that U are strong REALLY ✨ my mum developed symptoms (repeated words while speaking then slowly unable to form a proper sentence, increased sleep cycle and severe headaches)in the mid of dec 2023…. We took her to a psychiatrist as she already suffered from depression… the doc gave her meds and suggested CT scan but my mother said no to the ct scan and till today i regret that…. Through the meds she got better just like she was before however we observed that she got inactive…. Monthly checkups with the psychiatrist made us think that it might be depression or sth else
but…. Until April 2024… she developed those symptoms again but this time she eventually stopped speaking and we had to give her support when walking ….we did the ct scan… she got diagnosed…it was GBM …. She got admitted in hospital on 30th April. Got her surgery… 95 percent tumor removed… but radiotherapy and chemotherapy cant be done as her condt is really unstable ( seizures post operation)….. I was really broken…. Just yesterday (18th May 2024) i went to visit her and her reports said “high mortality rate, counseling for hisband and family)… after reading that, my already broken heart broke again. Its hard to endure all of this but yeah im not hopeless as God’s mercy has no limits ❤ just hanging by this belief …. Plz spare a few moments and pray for her lots of love ❤️

Glioblastoma, the monster that steals away bright, beautiful, young souls like Amani My mother died of Glioblastoma 26 years ago. She was 87 and had lived a full life. I am so angry and disappointed that Amani diagnosed in 2022, 2023 can't be offered any more hope than my mother was all those years ago. Brain cancer, Glioblastoma, the monster should be at the top of funding for cancer research. Glioblastoma steals one's soul in addition to taking a shining life like Amani's. The world needed her.
Totally agree, it should be the top most research funding but it's not that is why am do angry their is no t treatment besides radiation and posionus chemo, My daughter who was 9 passed away from this disease month ago,:(
Governments don't care about cures as they can't make money from cures, but treatments, but sometimes the treatments can kill you as well as it destroys your body from the inside.
My mom has this currently as we speak. She is actually doing well even after two surgeries. We count every blessings. Sending well wishes to those who are also going through this and to those who have lost family and friends ❤.

I feel you sister.... In 2014 my father is diagnosed with same cancer... And we lost him in just 9 months... As we hail from small city where we din had any medical help...we have to move for another city for his treatment... We tried everything to save him..
Lost everything.. no one stood by us... Neither physically nor financially... At that time all we siblings were studying my brother's were studying engineering and I was doing my masters in chemistry... i still remember everything Raw... I cried so hard seeing this video...i dunno how we managed to survive at that crucial time without any support...May Allah swt grant him highest place in Jannah... A good friend of mine was diagnosed with brain cancer, had surgery and was going through chemo therapy. One night while at home he wanted to see his mom but couldn’t get hold of her, next morning his wife tried to wake him up but it was too late, he passed away. I think he knew his time was coming n wanted to see his mom one last time. Please pray and make dua2 for him and to all our ummah and to also guide our brothers and sisters in humanity to the right path. الله يرحمه

I lost my mom to stage 4 GBM. I cried through this whole video. My heart breaks for everyone going through this. It brought back so many memories of when my mom was going through all this. She only survived 5 months after diagnosis. I miss her so much😞 Rest with the angels amani.

I noticed something inspiring about this beautiful sister, it's that as the disease was literally ravaging her body, robbing her her vision, mobility and memory,she did not let it take her sense of who she was as muslim Lady. she fought all through with her hijab on mashallah ,that shows how God conscious she was up to the last.may keep her among the women of jannah.🤲

I hate it when young people get brain cancer. My husband of 35 precious years had his first seizure at age 42 after 20 years of marriage and not being sick for a day in his life. He was diagnosed with a slow growing grade 2 tumor in the frontal lobe which started growing around the time he hit puberty until then. It was curable if found earlier but had grown tentacles into his brain which made it unoperable and would eventually speed up growth and turn into glioblastoma. He was given 1yr, then 4yr, and then 10yr. I was an RN at the time and I jumped for joy and told him no one gets 10 yr with a brain tumor as I had cared for many brain tumor patients. Needless to say he went back to full time work for 10 whole years before he had another seizure, almost to the day. Then he did radiation and chemo for 1yr. He also had 3 blood clots, one in each lung, that had passed through his heart and didn't kill him and one in his leg. The last 6 mo of his life he still didn't look ill but was wanting to quit chemo and had lost weight but I knew the end was coming but never told him so. And then 1 morning he got up to bathroom and laid down and started vomiting and I ran out the backdoor to empty it because it was a huge amount. I vomited from the smell and then washed the can our. By the time I got back to the bedroom he was gone. The last thing he said was "my chest hurts" as I was going to empty trashcan. I knew he had passed from the blood clot in his leg dislodging and going to the heart. I was so grateful that God took him before the frightening end stage symptoms. He went fast and never suffered! I hated to lose him but he passed in his own bed with just me with him and no suffering. He lived 13yr after diagnosis! I'm grateful that I had him for 35yr and that he didn't suffer. It is such a frightening diagnosis at any age but especially cruel for young people! Take care

My son passed with this 2 years ago I'm so sorry for ur loss.
About 3 months ago, my uncle (my mom’s brother) started having seizures ,he was already suffering from weakness and diabetes, but no one imagined what was the reason behind this. But on 1st June,2023 , his condition became more complicated, admitted to hospital, and after MRI he became unconscious, after one day when the report came, we came to know that he had Glioblastoma tumour in the right side of the brain, further reports came and it showed that the tumour developed about 4 years ago. But unfortunately when it was diagnosed, it was already the end, on 2nd June the report confirmed the tumour and after three days on 5th June my uncle passed away. Still hurts to the core that how something can happen to your beloved one and worst thing is that you feel so helpless in these situations. But all we can do is pray and hope for the best !

Love of my life passed from this in 2022 after a year and a half. She was 45. A nightmare come true.

I lost my father last year because of the same think. He lasted only exactly 12 months after being diagnosed and operated. His condition went downhill quickly only two months before his death and died one month after my wedding. Was terrible seeing him suffering like that so quickly and you couldn't do anything to help him

My bother died from glioblastoma a week after being diagnosed , I don’t know how if long he had cancer before that time He was actually doing normal activities a week before ,riding his bike ,taking care of his dog etc. I glad you still have extended time and hopefully you be the one who overcomes this awful disease .

I can relate, my aunt died of GBM at age 58 in Nov 2022. It really is a cruel disease, and my aunt lived only 16 months after her diagnosis. May Allah comfort and heal your family after your loss.
