The way you did this video sets you apart from other reviewers. Some just give a quick how to play and review, others give a way too long setup and play-through. The structure of this video puts you up there with the best. Love the quick overview, camera shots, and quick edited 2 player play-through. The 20+ minute mark is perfect. Keep up this intelligent format and you will be up there at the top of boardgame reviewed. This video was one of the deciding factors for me to buy Viticulture Essentials. Thanks for making this. I've subscribed, I will recommend your channel to others, and I look forward to checking out the rest. I'm interested in the game El Dorado, so I will be viewing that video next.
So after all this time how do you feel about the game?
@@ClockworkWyrm My wife and I had loads of great games of it. It's one of our most played games. It's a medium weight game but it's actually easy to teach to non gamers too as they already know the main rules because they are intuitive (plant, pick grapes, crush and bottle, age, then sell). Later we got the expansion, Tuscany which adds loads of different modules. I sell/trade a lot of games, but this is a keeper.
Great format for teaching the game - it was clear, concise and your soothing voices added bonus ASMR
Exceptionally well done. I reviewed this before playing the game with my wife for the first time and it was very helpful.
This was a very well-done video. It was concise & not overly wordy like many videos are & you were able to present a good play-through of the game. I understand the game much more having watched this video. I was especially interested because I was considering picking it up as a 2-player game for my wife & I.
You were very helpful. Thank you.
Explanation is terrible and unfortunate.
15:53 The Architect card only gives VP for structures worth EXACTLY 4 Lira, so only Cottage and Medium Cellar counts. The card is therefore much better in Tuscany expansion.
Nice work on this game! You both are quick decision-makers, which makes the video fun to watch. I'll definitely be checking out your other videos. Thank you for this playthrough. :)
This was a really good runthrough. Thank you for uploading!
Late to the party on this, but I wanted to say this is an excellent video. I hope to play Viticulture EE this weekend with my wife. Thank you!
unintentional ASMR
Fantastic play through! I wish you had shown all of the turns and moves but what you did show was really well put together. Subbed.
I enjoyed this playtrough. Very well done, thanks! Why did you stop making any new videos?
First video I have watched on your channel. Very clear and concise explanation and loved the playthrough! Looking forward to viewing some of the other videos for games that I own. Keep up the awesome work!
Don't you have to pay to unlock the 6 and 7 point fields before you can plant in them?
Very great talkthrough, thanks!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
I liked the play through and it helped me decide to the buy the game or not.
If the other players have decided to pass onto the next season, can you do additional actions in that current season or do you have to pass as well (after doing one action) ?
Have you ever played with the Tuscany: EE? If you have played with it, what are your thoughts and feelings about the expansion? Or if not, have you considered getting it?
We've never played with the Tuscany: EE, although we've heard great things about it and would love to try it out. It looks like it helps to mitigate some of the randomness in the cards. Sadly it is not published here in Germany, but we have thought about buying an imported copy.
So in a two player game you can never activate the bonus space?
Yeah, got me confused. I just got this game
In a 2 player game, the grande meeple being placed at the spot gives you the bonus.
can Viticulture Essential Edition be played with the older version of Tuscany (Expand the World)?
So Viticulture Essential Edition contains some elements from the original Tuscany expansion - the Mama & Papa cards, fields, some Visitor cards and the solo mode (Automa). Some other elements from the original Tuscany are in the new Tuscany Essential Edition.
Here is a useful graphic from Stonemaier Games showing what happened to all of the original Tuscany elements:
boardgamegeek.com/image/3057547/tuscany-essential-edition?size=large
As you can see, there are some aspects of the original Tuscany that are not included in either of the Essential Editions (Viti or new Tuscany). So you could still choose to add these extra elements from Tuscany to your Viticulture Essential Edition gameplay.
Thank you for the detailed explanation as well as providing a useful link. I am definitely considering buying Viticulture
You're very welcome!
If you do buy Viticulture, we hope that you enjoy it. :) It's a great game!
I cannot concentrate on the gameplay, the way you talk like love tortoises distracts too much. It happens in most of your videos, so I had to unsubscribe. Sorry.
