It’s actually scary to imagine how bad this situation would be if it really were to happen. Some people would take this as an elaborate prank and purposely look for the face, while others would most likely panic.

@@synkt8759 I guess it would depend on where it attacks. If it goes for the head it would probably be instant, or close enough to it. If it goes for anything else first, yeah that's gonna suck. You would be aware of yourself being brutally killed. Without the heart pumping blood you will lose consciousness anywhere from 10 seconds to a few minutes, probably on the quicker side due to the extreme circumstances. But still, that initial impact will be felt and you will have some time to think about it.
Tbh, I'd rather just blow my brains out. No suffering for me, no risk of others seeing it's face. Go out on my own terms.

I feel like the SCP foundation would be able to completely purge a image of SCP 096 from the internet with all the technology they have access to (and D-Class to do it.) idk just seems like they would have planned for a scenario like this and develop strategies to minimize casualties.
They are working on scrubbing it, but that must be done with ai and those who have already seen it are dead, things can go viral in minutes or even seconds, it’s a major risk
This is why the SCP Foundation needs a high level reality warper for a leadership, even higher than 3812 if possible.

In the SCP-files of SCP-096 was a situation where SCP-096 was somewhere in the background (4 pixels as far as I remember) of a landscape-picture, which caused SCP-096 to break containment and hunt down the individual who took the photo and looked at it.
Now imagine a simple image with SCP-096 on /r/earthporn or somewhere else on a social media site to go viral. Nobody would know that they just killed themselves and others.In a scenario like this, not even the best prevention could hinder something like this to happen as 4 pixels is just too tiny to be recognized by an A.I. or person.
@@Gaster601 the only reason the foundation found the 4 pixel image was beacsue the Scramble AI found it...But the AI wasnt FAST enough to stop the photons from hitting the human retina which then went to the brain. Blind people can look at him and be fine.

This may sound dumb, but I wonder what effect an AI "seeing" a picture of 096 would do. Would a computer program processing and analyzing the picture trigger the effect? If not, could AI be used to analyze all media online before it is disseminated publicly to find a picture of 096 before it is too late?
It's confirmed that 096 doesn't care about AI, at least not the ones the foundation uses, if I remember correctly it was an AI that discovered the four pixels of 096's face on a landscape picture

If I would add anything to this one it might be something along the lines of:
"You can find comfort in that having extracted yourself from populated areas, you may have saved numerous lives." to the bit with heading into wilderness if you've seen it.
Sure, it might not do anything if somebody else in a city center sees it and don't choose to separate, but choosing to die alone to maybe save others ought to be commended.

The EAS videos don't unsually disturb me, but fucking damnit this scared me, as its far more close to reality. Social media surrounds us, and the thought of some otherwordly, literally _anomalous_ being infiltrating it is terrifying. Good job man!
Ten minutes to say goodbye to loved ones, and you wasted four of them listening to this announcement. Really this should've been read out with shorter pauses and quicker pace considering the blinding speed of the entity. Regardless, really cool and mildly terrifying to think that this would need to be broadcast. The worst bit is that anyone who hadn't heard the announcement would hear screaming and crying and actively seek out the source, thinking it's someone in trouble. So anyone and everyone the entity passes by will likely die as well anyway.

Great video however I have 1 gripe. If reddit is responsible for this, then that means America is going to be a large portion of the people how saw the image. Obviously, because we Americans think we are tough, will arm ourselves and try and fight it if it gets close, which will agitate 096 and make him attack even if the person in question had only seen their back.
I know this is kinda a stupid thing to fuss about but I would probably have point at the very least a small statement that says that 096 is invincible to all currently know forms of attack, especially ones you would have in your our home.
Again this is a great video and feel much more realistic that one of the origins of this outbreak would be on reddit. I just had a slight issue that I wanted to put out there.
