I have to agree with Eric Gross. The other software he mentions does way better at AI masking. Easier smoother workflow. I too have wanted to like ON1 and even have purchased it but it normally just sits on my computer. I do like some of the free AI presets that it has built in.
Hi Adam, sorry to hear PhotoRaw 2023 didn't workout for you and yes as I have alwauys said the AI masking is nowhere even near 100% working as of yet. It's a work in motion I suppose you could say. For the money and what you get for it, it is an a great package though. With all the portrait editing, noise reduction, image sharpening, effects etc.... It's a great package. Now of course Capture One and Adobe are better but they are also more expensive for what you get. Thanks for watching and enjoy your photography and your editing too of course :-)
I've tried so hard to like ON1 Photo RAW, but my experience with it as simply been terrible. Yes, it has amazing AI technology built-in and it's relatively inexpensive, but it's image quality far inferior to LR, DXO, CP1 and, even, Luminar NEO.
HellEric, Sorry to hear that, are you using a Mac or PC, what camera are you using as this has not been my experience with On1 at all. I also use the other software you have mentioned.
@@kieranhayesphotography I use a Mac and my cameras are several Fujifilm X series and the Ricoh gr iii. I've been experimenting with ON1 for years and consistently get the worse overall results. Yes, the masking technology is quite amazing, but I suspect that the primary problem is the quality of the RAW conversion.
Check out my ON1 Promo Code on my website here... www.landscapephotographyireland.com/on1-promo-code/

My experience is that it is good.
