      @@shantanupawar3609 Totally agree with you. But here's a catch. Remember that Ather and TVS use around 3kw motor (Rated Power) . The Mid-drive is easier to cooled so the peak power can be pushed to 6.4kw while the TVS hub motor can only be push to 4.4kw. (I appreciate TVS work on finding the sweet spot)
      On the other hand, Hub Motor has great initial torque but mid-drive although it has slight loss of power, it an be tuned to deliver higher transmission ratio. But what TVS got things right here is that hub motor requires less maintenance and leave more space inside. The rear break is just not enough to stop the vehicle so when we use both breaks in wet roads very gently at low speeds also it skids and even the rear wheel skids when we try to accelerate due to sudden torque. My friends go to hills plenty of times in ola on normal mode. Everyone knows ola has the most power and overheats. Ather is not powerful and it also overheated. Probably has to do something with updates. Older olas seem more prone to overheating than newer ones. Looks like Ola is improving continuously.

    • @vlramnghaka
      @vlramnghaka Před 11 měsíci

      it is not solely the power which overheats the Vehicle, its the engineering/design mistake that overheats the ola. Ather and Iqube has Metal battery casing which dissipate heats faster. But the ola has plastic casing which is not great in heat dissipation. Plus Ather has a fan which activates when the battery and motor meets certain temperature. Theoretically, Iqube must be most prone to heating issue as it uses hub motor which is the hardest to be actively cooled. But we can see the beauty of TVS engineering in Iqube: A 3kw motor can be peaked/stressed to ~6kw, but TVS limits to just 4.4kw. so as to give a consistent performance of both the motor and most importantly, the battery. This model of not stressing to much is also evident in their upcoming TVS X, having 7kw motor; which theoretically can be stresses to ~15kw but only limit to 11kw

    According to me even the mathematics related to finances also work in favor of the Ntorq.

    • @vlramnghaka
      @vlramnghaka Před rokem

      I rarely got a scooter for more than 3-4years and then sold at lower price. Giving that timeframe, the advantage of EV is not that much (considering high initial cost) however it is good to have as an alternative to kept for more than 5 years with ICE still in garage. But EV is still a very good and practical choice for city rides over ICE.

      Me too... Can't wait to see Ampere Primus on the road. Although Li-ion has higher power to weight ratio. LFP has higher tolerance over hot and cold climate.

    Okay. But imo, it's false.
    My practical experience shows very different results.
    And, I have noticed that your previous tests were also false according to my experience.
    I have used both Iqube and Ather.
    Yes, IQube has the consistency, but what on earth makes your Ather stop!?
    My Ather 450X with a pillion can go number to number performance with ~1.5% change maximum.
    For example, last day, I went for a 60 km ride, and around 16 to 20km was fort/hill climb. I had a pillion sitting back. My Ather was on Ride mode. Started with 100% and 85km range. When I reached the destination, the range left on my bike was 16KMS. And mind you not, my average speed was 50kph+
    Same did with IQUBE a few months before, it got me reached to the destination but only 7% range left, I was on normal mode and started the journey with 90% charge.
    By the way, I live in Kolhapur district, and the average temperature is above 30 and 35.

      Hi Leo, thanks for sharing your experience with us. The test conducted by us was done with all honest, having said that, the results did surprise us as well. We had never faced heating issues with the Ather previously, but then again, what we showed was the truth. It also depends on parameters such as ambient temperature, rider+ pillion load, ride mode and more importantly gradient of the climb.

    Actually Ather is best cuz not everyone will drive in hilly areas and moreover it's cost efficient. TVS comes with motor attached to the rear wheel which makes commuters riding on hill in wet conditions makes them think again 🥴.. ATHER is ✨

    • @vlramnghaka
      @vlramnghaka Před rokem +5

      The hub motor of TVS is water proof😅. But i agree mid drive motor can take much deeper water.
      Buy the way they have their own advantage and disadvantage as well. Mid-drive can be cooled easily, so peak power can be push further, can also be geard, good weight distribution. But hub-motor require lower maintenance, easy and cost effective, lower loss of power in transmission, higher initial torque, low noise.
