    The best part of the whole video is the comically large binding post wrench. That's to make you feel that spending an ungodly amount of money on ridiculous electronics is worth it. When you see that Hi-Res Audiophile grade binding post wrench you realize it was worth every penny. Using any other type of wrench or tool for the binding posts on these amps will void the warranty. If you ever lose your wrench you will need to have a trained tech come to your home to connect or disconnect your speakers. If you want to order a replacement wrench the wait time is currently 5 to 6 years. Each wrench is handcrafted and aged for 48 months in an oxygen free chamber to ensure it is Hi-Res Audiophile grade.

      @@tothemax324 I highly doubt if a majority of self -made millionaires would spend so much for a highly depreciating asset (50% depreciation in year one is what I've seen)... Studies have shown true multimillionaires actually live very modest lifestyles in order to save / invest $$$ over decades... There are always exceptions tough... It would be interesting to know how many units are sold annually. It's a very niche market.

    Branding has been the main driver in this brand all in the name of maximum profits imo

  • @druboudreaux3673

    The 3 eyelet power cord would be embarrassing on a $500 amp. That’s some parts house eyelets, crimped on 12g wire.. not even use a little bit of shrink wrap. Nope. Let’s just machine a billet cover, and make a custom wrench. This is a “no expense spared” luxury item, and that’s what y’all came up with?
    Full disclosure I drool over this stuff, and very likely to never be able to own one, but that imagine is now burned in my head, and I’ll never be able to think of this brand without thinking about that cable.
    Now I fully realize it works perfectly fine, but is this brand based around the mindset of “works perfectly fine”?

    • @druboudreaux3673
      @druboudreaux3673 Před 3 měsíci

      I absolutely could make a nicer cable. I’m sure you can too. So now we have a couple normal guys that can make a nicer essential component than d’agastino does for their $350,000 home stereo amp.
      Point well made, sir.

    They are magnificent ... but why do I think the cases cost more to make than the electronics inside?

    • @MaestroCipher
      @MaestroCipher Před 3 měsíci +3

      Electronics development, testing. High quality manufacturing. Marketing, demonstrations to clients. Excellent customer service. Low production counts. That's why they cost a lot. Rare high quality masterpiece. Their team also need to make a living and get a decent profit margin to stay afloat reliably.

    Are the ringlets on the Ac power cord made of solid Rhodium?
    The ac wires look like 12g Romex.

    Yeah you can connect a few wires to it and that's fun to watch, but then why not just hook it up to some music and let it play for several minutes to possibly allow people to hear it. And get your impressions otherwise what's the point

    Power Cable: It is the bare minimum because they know the owner is going to replace it. They just need to be able to turn on and work for the installation. It's no different than any other amp from $2,500 on up. Nobody is keeping that power cord.
