    As a Rockets fan, I agree…I loved our draft of getting a guy who fits perfectly with the original core 6 in Reed Sheppard and taking very low risk, high reward chance on AJ Griffin! He’s a better overall player than prolly 75% of this draft class. We added 2 young shooters who could theoretically make FVV and Dillon expendable next offseason. That would open up cap space for another max guy next year. Loved the Dillingham, Edey, and Ware fits for their teams as well. Great pod guys!

    As a Spurs fan, I would love nothing more than for the Hawks to be terrible and the Hornets to not be terrible. From your lips to the basketball god's ears, Sam! Lol.

    Who is the all-NBA guy on the Rockets as presently constructed? Green? Sengun? Smith? Cam? Amen? Reed? All are possibilities, I guess, but I'm not sure about any of them, and they're gonna need a top guy to contend...

    The complaint about Holland going to the Pistons was shooting. But it looks like he’s going to be developed a bit more slowly. And they brought in Malik Beasley, Simone Fontecchio, Tobias Harris, and Tim Hardaway Jr to shoot.

    Regarding Castle starting, Keldon Johnson didn't start for most of last season, so I don't expect him to start this year. So, I thought Castle would start until the Spurs got Harrison Barnes. The starting lineup might be: Paul, Vassell, Barnes, Sochan, Wemby. I guess they could bring Barnes off the bench at the 4 and start Castle in his place.

      yeah, honestly was just naming perimeter players that I thought would be a bit more effective than Castle during his rookie season. Wasn't trying to specifically run out starters.

  • @petekayyceclosedduncan2077

    I don't get why you think Detroit has options to trade down when a player like Knecht dropped to 17th.

    Sam's ideas for the Pistons:
    A: Give Cade a spaced floor;
    B: Trade your young center that defends and... space the floor.
    Stew playing as a center not only benefits Cade, but also Ausar, Holland and Ivey.
    Acquiring BBall Paul means that you add a more experienced option to two centers that have some injuries issues. Also, Duren will for the first time have some competition. He will have to play some D to stay on the floor. It's not Wiseman anymore that will be behind him in the rotation.

      Yea Stew should start, he's clearly better than the others.

    Why does Sam continually put Keldon in spurs big 3? He was the 6th man last year for a reason. Pop starts guys who are positive defenders.

      I feel like I always put him on the trade block? lol
      I was just naming perimeter players, not Big 3 guys.

      @@GameTheoryPodcastwSamVecenie My fault, I listen to a lot of podcasts, I thought it was you I heard say something similar last week. Still though, how or where Keldon is played won’t have an effect on how/where castle is played. I’m mostly seeing spurs reporters and spurs twitter in general say Paul, Devin, Barnes, Jeremy and Victor start at least to start the season. Tre, castle, champagnie, Keldon, Collins on the bench. Roster ain’t set yet though.
