This is one of the greatest games of all time. I've replayed it at least 4 times now and I always cry.

Can't overstate how much I loved the fact that the producers were unafraid to just let the scene breathe and take its damn time for nearly three solid minutes with Lana all alone in the dark with Mui. So many other stories in film and gaming treat the audience so cynically that they'll try anything to keep short attention spans from drifting by just rushing to the next scene. Here you're just sitting with her as though you're really there, and not sure what to do next. Absolutely genius storytelling. I don't know how you top this in a sequel, but I want more of it please! ♥

I played the game for 30 minutes and couldnt bear how brainless and uninteresting it was. Do a simple puzzle made for 5 year olds and then walk for 30 seconds, repeat, thats all there was to it. There was no hook, there was nothing i wanted to find out from the game, no reason to keep playing except the gameplay which i didnt like and the visuals which are breathtaking but not enough to keep me playing. And what makes puzzles even more boring is the fact that movement and animations are so slow that i figure out a puzzle in my head instantly and then have to walk and jump for a minute until i can officially solve it.

The game wasn't meant to be super difficult, but visually it was so great, and I think that learning a bit about the world and fighting the invasion or saving your village was enough to make you as the player push forward. In the end, the audio, visuals and little kitty monkey friend were worth playing for. I'm glad it had a happy ending though I wished it was more clear why the aliens invaded and kept people alive but always tried killing you...and also it might have been implied that the aliens were just humans from a long time ago.

@@coxwag interesting puzzles that challenge me, an interesting story, like wanting to figure out why or where did the robots come from, but they just ain't interesting. Maybe interesting visuals, after the opening there is very little interesting to see in the first half an hour that i played.
But the biggest offender were the time wasting puzzles, having to wait for 20 seconds until a robot looks away so you can do your own thing is the most boring way to challenge the player, i would have probably liked the game more if it was just a walking simulator and a visual feast, like for example Abzu.

This is probably my favourite game this year. You've a heart of stone if the ending doesn't move you. I only figured out in the scene where she's cradling Mui in shock after she dies that 'Ima' isn't come here or a command, but simply 'I'm here'. The fact she's saying that whilst Mui is passing away made me really tear up. And the humming......

It can still be "come" but in a "come back" form. In fact i guess thats the sense in this scene. That said, this game is 10/10.

I was literally shouting at the tv while fighting the core and mashing the button... "Give back Elo! Give back Everyone! This is our world!" Then I was so devastated when Mui when Mui fell to the ground I dropped the controller. I was on the edge of my seat watching the robots falls, "Mui did it! Mui was the key all along!" As excited as I was, I was far more anxious and nervous remembering what had just happened to Mui and Lana. And then when we came back to them my heart sunk and the tears began to flow. As Lana was cradling and comforting Mui I was saying, "Thank you, Mui... It's okay, Mui... you've done enough. You can rest now... you can rest." I appreciate the game gave me time to actually grieve Mui's loss on my own, as well as with Lana. When Lana started humming, I started to hum along too, still crying. Then, Lana's bracelet starts to chime and I was on the edge of my seat again, tears still on my face as the Core rebooted and the robots came back to life, thanking Mui again. "Mui... you did it! You saved us all!" The music swelled and then Mui came back to life and I leapt to my feet with a resounding "YES!!" We welcomed Mui back and I could recognize Lana's "Let's go," but took it as "Let's go home." My smile was huge and there were tears of joy as the music swelled and seeing everyone in the village again with the robots now working side by side and helping them. Now back on that familiar path, moving that familiar cart... taking moment at the graves... smiling as Elo pets Mui and the offering us to sit with her, welcoming us home, which answers the question in the Horizons song. "We did it... we found our way home." I smiled and cried all through those credits and let all wash over me again.
Thank you for all of those involved in making the game and the incredible music! And thank you all for listening to me rant and gush about one of the most simple yet amazing and complete gaming experiences I've ever had.
Be blessed everyone, you and yours and everyone hold dear.
"We will find our way home."
