  • Its simple. I tell you my honest opinion of the Sony Bravia Theatre U. And I mix in a little comparison with the previous iteration in the Sony SRS-NS7.
    Verdict: Get 'em!

I bought and received my Theatre U’s yesterday, absolutely loving them. Music is better than I thought. I have a hearing impairment ( 3% ) in R ear. I have bought numerous headphones over recent years. This product manages to compensate for my hearing loss, love them, thoroughly recommend 🎵🎵🎵💥💥💥💥💥

Nice review, and glad you talked about both models, I was confused and worried that the newer model wouldn't be the same thing improved, but something different.

I was also wondering what the difference is between these two models since the price is the same so thanks for explaining. One question: I saw an unboxing video of the Theater U and there did not appear to be the little round wireless unit that came with the NS7. Can you confirm the new model does not include this? Also, I'd like to use this with a Sony Bluray player connected to my projector. I think you could connect the NS7 via an optical cable to a bluray player. Can the Theater U also be connected this way?

I'd love a video on setting these up with the Sony app you mention. Just unboxed and downloaded the Sony | Bravia Connect app, version 3.0.1, but the Theatre U isn't listed as a supported device and can't be discovered. Would be great to know how you got that to work.

Do they still press against the neck with the cold hard plastic edges ?
Why can't they stay in a position as the BOSE Companions did ?

Thank you. I have the NS7, and I absolutely love it for listening to music. How is the newer one for music ?

I have not listened to a LOT, but when I have, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Once again, is the upgrade worth the same price? Not sure. I still LOVE my old ones! But yes, the Theater U ARE better.

@@littleacgman Hi, thanks for the answer, but I'm not talking about the worthiness of the upgrade, but rather if you feel that it surpasses the previous model in listening to music (at least from the little you've listened to, what's your opinion?)

I just bought Monster Boomerang Petite but the sound quality is not good, I'm thinking of buying a Sony Bravia Theater U but I don't know whether it is worth to pay 4-5 x money for Sony

Bass isn't crazy on either but withe the sound encapsulating you, I don't miss it. And this is from a guy who LOVES bass. So hands down, if the stay the same price, get the Theater U!

Good question. Don’t know about every app but if the platform supports more than two-channel sound, it should work. I’ve even heard it on Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes app on my iPhone.

No. it will depend on whether you have a spacial audio/Atmos input, eg, you have a music service that supports 360 or atmos audio such as amazon music or tidal etc. For movies, you need to have one of the latest Sony Bravia tv's, not sure if its all or select models.

Thanks for the review. I also own the previous model. How does the bass sound on the new model. I noticed the new model doesn't have the face down woofers like the old model. Is it worth the upgrade in your opinion?

    • @littleacgman
      @littleacgman  Před měsícem +3

Great question. I just went and did a comparison using the song "Night Falls" by Danny Olson and Vo Williams. Honestly, the bass isn't really great on either but I thought it sounded a little better from the new ones.
Honest opinion, if you can sell the old ones or pass them on (get something from them with money or blessing someone) I would 100% upgrade. If you just love buying new tech, get them! Otherwise, the jump isn't that substantial to justify upgrading in my opinion. Again, they ARE better than the old but the old are still phenomenal in my opinion.

@littleacgman I appreciate your reply, and i also love tech. I purchased my neckband less than a year ago. I only use the headphones with my Sony Bravia to take advantage of Dolby Atmos. I will definitely consider purchasing the new headset. Thanks!
