My aerator was off for 2-3 months and I didn’t know it was off. I repaired the aerator and plugged it back up. Minutes afterward the house began to smell badly inside. How long will this last?

I would pump the system if it was that long. if it was a week or so i wouldn’t be concerned but that’s a long time.

Hi! Loved this video! I would love to connect and chat with you about an issue we are currently having. We have spoken to 4 Septic Engineers, plumbers, and other Septic professionals and they are ARE stumped. We are desperately searching for answers for a problem we are having. We are located in California. Are you available to chat via phone for a consultation so we can explain our situation and hear your thoughts? Thank you!

@@amandaarnold3486 sure you can call the office at wholesale and ask. you willl need to to ask for reuben and tell him I said it’s okay. he is also very knowledgeable about septic. it is difficult not being onsite to figure out things but we can usually narrow it down to a couple of things it will be.

@@wholesalesepticsupply9801 Thanks for the response! We have recently discovered that our WEEKLY cleaners were cleaning showers/toilets/bathtubs with chlorine bleach. About 5-8 cups worth of bleach each week. So our tank was getting 20-30 cups of bleach per month since March. We have since gotten our tank pumped (2 weeks ago), and were advised to add baking soda to the septic (which neutralizes the bleach) and are also adding weekly commercial septic bacteria compound to the tank. The cleaners did come once before we put two and two together. The company we purchased the commercial septic bacteria from said for 5-8cups of bleach could take 6-8 weeks to rebalance the tank, Right now we are just being patient and going 100% bleach free for the 6-8 weeks to see if we see (or smell) any improvements.
