- This water based, non-toxic, pleasant smelling Unicorn Spit is a great way to add a splash of color to your projects whether it be wood, metal, glass, fabric, ceramic, or something else.
You can use it full strength or dilute it up to 70% water to get the look you want. Put it on like a paint, a stain, a glaze, or use it to tint your water based finished.
Check it out at your local Woodcraft store or online here:

Just a note - despite the lovely photos of picnic tables, outdoor chairs, etc. this stuff is definitely NOT light fast. I used it on a barewood item last summer and coated with my go-to oil based varnish as directed. Within 2 months you couldn't even tell what colour it was! Indoor projects only folks!
Hi my picnic table has been going around. I do put 5 coats of UV, but also say to cover when in direct sun and not using. Or shady area.
Super disappointing
I love Unicorn spit! On its own or with alcohol inks and/or acrylics ❤️👏🏽
It's also a floor wax and dessert topping!
Hair dye too!
A dessert topping? I am intrigued.
@@WoodcraftSupply oh man. Even another idea!!! I might have to give that a try and see how vibrant it is and how long it lasts!!!
@@WoodcraftSupply Can you airbrush it?
You’re telling our age with that remark. Is your real name Fred Garvin?
Hey! New to your channel through a search engine - I just bought this and loved your quick demo! I'll be sure to tag you once my video is up - TFS!
Love it is it ok left out in the weather for a picnic table etc
There are metallics, too, sold through the inventor's wesite.
Thankyou for the tutorial I love it now to find out where I need to buy this beautiful paint but hey is it ok if I used it on a picnic table outside that is
There is a link in the description to purchase. It would probably be okay outside with the proper topcoat. Although nothing lasts forever outside, it may fade.
@@WoodcraftSupply Yah, within a few weeks >(
What’s the dry to touch times like ?
I want to stain a Telecaster Guitar Kit pink to gift to my niece. Any advise?
Can it be used on vinyl flooring?
Hurryyyyyy
I am looking to stain the wood that penatrates into the wood. This looks more like paint to sit on the surface. How is it?
Correct, you can get it to act like a stain by watering it down and wiping it off so you still see the wood underneath but it is not a true stain. If you're looking for brightly colored stain, General Finishes has a line of Dye Stain that might suit your needs.
Your sample pieces, are those plywood your using?
Yep, just some 1/4" plywood.
Why is woodcraft already discontinuing unicorn spit?
Your tutorial looks nothing like the blue waves that you shown before hand...kinda making this video useless to me😐 leaves me with a lot of trial and error.
I was excited by the blue "wave" look you showed but as lily said it didn't look anything like that. I'm wondering how you got the first look.
Sucks. Not a true stain, more like acrylic paint. I’m sticking to powder dyes........
ok........
I hate the name. Why "spit"? I would be less prone to buying.
Michelle’s (the business owner) son came up with the name while working on a project during a sensory therapy. It worked & they stuck with it!
The names not so bad especially if your familiar with the story behind the product being named. Everyone loves the thought of a beautiful unicorn & spit is well just spit... Something all of our body's need at all times to prevent horrible things from happening in our mouths. There are definitely products on the market with much worse names. But to each their own...
I love the name, it's intriguing and attention grabbing!
