- People suffering from chronic pain may have an alternative to drugs. Neuroscientist Laurent Martin, PhD, explains how green light therapy can reduce pain and improve sleep for people suffering from conditions such as migraine and fibromyalgia.
Dr. Martin is affiliated with the Comprehensive Pain and Addiction Center (CPAC) at the University of Arizona Health Sciences and is an assistant research professor of anesthesiology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson. As part of CPAC, he develops new therapies that do not rely on opioids, focusing on how visual exposure to specific wavelengths of light (or colors) affect brain areas involved in pain processing.

I have green light, I never turn on the switch as I think black light is better than green. Should I turn on the green while sleeping?
Red light shall enhance the sleep hormone melatonin. I've heard ...
Any recommended bulbs? I see a few inexpensive choices on Amazon. Interested in help with insomnia, not pain.
Why do you think this would help with insomnia?
@@alc1212 the video mentions it had you watched it. 😆
@@LeTrashPanda Mark the point insomnia was mentioned dummy. Insomnia and "help with sleep" are not the same. Insomnia is an actual medical condition.

What about Red Light Therapy?
I highly recommend it
I have a platinum 300
It does so much...energy,
Sleep, muscle soreness skin
It really works .when I get up I have a session 15 minutes after an energy surge a healthy increase in the baseline
Feeling...the near infrared reduces muscle soreness and speeds healing
I had a small burn on my fingertip and 20 minutes or near it and the pain was gone..it was a tiny burn but the healing effect was noticabke...finally the sleep aspect...a little at night before bed...I used it to light the room prior to keying down, it's legit..deeper sleep..longer stretches of sleep too...I don't sleep well so I saw a real improvement from where my sleep quality was..
Thumbs up to red lights...
That's old methods I believe
