Wow! Holland is bigger than I thought.
3,5 hrs drive from north to south 🙂
That bk2 looks like a whole new knife after it was sharpened to that mirror finish.
Dutch Bushcraft Knives definitely! lol
Yes. Almost worth buying. So beautiful to bad on the performance
I have had the bk2 for 4 years now also the bk7 and 9 and 1095 crovan steel is good steel it has to be sharpened more but it takes an edge easy but like any of us i bought a bravo 1.5 and a fallkniven a1 and after you use cpm3v or vg10 you see the pros to picking up one of them instead when your heading into the deep woods for 10 days but for the price i love beckers i would recommend them anyday for the price because my bravo 1.5 cost me 410 dollars canadian so ya not cheap
What did you polish it with? BTW great vid!
I'd add that the benefit of CPM 3V is that you really don't need to worry about sharpening in the field because the edge retention is likely 2nd to none...maybe BRK Cru-Wear could compete.
Now the extreme survival knife comparison! Bravo SURVIVOR vs fallkniven A1 pro
This episode went sexual.
Watching in 2020 and just finished the Bark River podcast! Great to hear two legends talk with the legendary Bark River founder!
Do not delete the channel. Do not delete the channel..............
I got a BR Bravo 1 as a carry knife. It was late at night, I was tired, and I then found a super cool looking one; fancy pins, black scales with red liners, just beautiful. The only problem is I wasn’t paying close enough attention and the metal I chose was M-4...
I live in a humid area (rust) and although this metal will cut forever, when its dull, it takes elite skill to resharpen (which I don’t have). Now I am afraid to even use it. It went from my “go to” knife to a safe queen. The lesson? Pay attention when you order a knife!!!
If you still have it…. I’ll buy it
M4 isn’t that difficult to sharpen, just get some diamond plates.
Great work guys, keep it up❤
Great video guys. Thanks for the video and all the hard work y'all put into making them. DBK is the best knife CZcams channel ever. Can't wait for the next video. Hope yall have a great weekend.
thank you so much jason!!
Great video as usual guys! I just started listening to the podcast. Awesome! Thanks
And, do not delete the channel.....
I have the BK-2 and love it for the things it can do for camping and for bushcraft and I heard about the Bark River knives and may buy one sometime in the future, but for right now I am staying with the knives I already have. I am glad to have the BK-2 in my inventory and I don't use the knives which I already have and really don't need any more.
Great video!And..........great act Mickey!Especially in the beginning of the intro!
Thanks DBK! I love my bark river survivor!
Don’t delete the channel, i absolutely love your stuff and if not, just expand your audience such as survival gear and survival challenges and I am pretty sure the rest of your audience would agree with me on this one.
Again, best channel on CZcams by far
Great vid
Thanks guys, your vids are great !
honestly you guys are passionate for your knives and that what make you great
Yes new DBK! You guys should test out the bravo 2 in 3v! I love mine.
😂😂 I fucking love these kind of videos man. Right amount of jokes, while the video still gives a lot of information about the knives. Thanks dudes, keep em coming.
Ordered the Bark River Bravo 1 from Heine Haynes my regular knife and accessories shop.Good deal but it will be going in a display cabinet in the gun room, with the likes of Helle knives and martini knives and the rest of my collection.
Bravo 1.25 s35vn vs fallkniven s1 pro..love your guys channel best knife channel....
Here's is a better test... dull both knife edges... then try to sharpen them as in a survival situation. Then we'll truly see which is the better survival knife. I do love both knives though.
@@Butch_Deezlsteak You can sharpen a carbon steel in the field with a wet stone.
Try this with no special equipment with a super steel 😅
I speak about the 1095 by the way…
Strop the 3v regularly and your good
I love my Becker BK2. It is a batoning beast, it chops decently, and the sheath will accommodate a lefty like me.
Every episode makes me laugh, quality content guys.
That mirror finish looks so cool
never clicked on a video so fast, 2 of my favourite knives! and I knew the bravo 1 would win, it always wins that's why I have 4 of them!
I love you guys and you got me super interested in knife making!!!
lol i like the video before i watch it
also enjoyed another great video from you guys keep up the awesome work
I like the Bark River. I think I'll get one. Thanks guys
BUY ONE! I promise you will NOT be disappointed. There are two hard things to take into consideration. One is just using such a great / sexy knife and concerned about hurting the knife (won't happen). The other is that after buying a BRK, you're going to spend more because you'll want to buy ANOTHER BRK! :D
Another great and funny video, you have a new patreon guys! Keep it up and keep the vids comming :)
No Don't delete! Love your videos! And knives!
Hahah Maarten! Open gulp! Good video guys!! :)
This video made me laugh. That's not easy... Thx bois! Best wishes!
you are crazy folks!! best from Poland
I just took delivery of a Bark River Bravo 1.5 3V ramped w/ Linen Micarta and matte finish. Cut your thumb off sharp
I need moar Band-Aids. Going to bring it to my little patch of woods and do all the Bushcraft things. Love DBK! If not for DBK, I would not have ordered this knife.
Exactly because of poor Edge retención y selled mine away, awesome video as always !!!!
When I first started watching your great content, I really had to get used to your Dutch accents. I just realised how much I got used to it haha. And like always, I love your video. Huge thumbs up
haha thanks a lot Saehun!
You guys are the best! :DDD
Nice to see 2 great knives made in the US. Bk2 looks great after your mods. Greetings from Chicago, keep up the good work!
Thanks a lot
I have the 2 , they are excellents !
Geweldig boys
Not to mention the Bark River is almost 3 times as expensive 😵 both are incredible knives though imo
Yes, pricey though it is levels above.
This video and channel is absolutely beautiful
2 minutes of video and i already love it.
Btw do you remember that guy that told you if he learn some knifemaking he gonna make a knife for you ;)
It’s like they KNEW I wanted to know more about the KA bar
You should try the batoning In -30 celsius degrees with these knives.
Hi guys!
You shoud do a leatherman video!!
I love you, never stop :D
Love you guys you are the best of the best
thanks a lot anas!
Keep the channel!!!
I will challenge a BK2 vs Barkriver Bravo-1 to a knife dual! Guess who will win?
Suggestion for Dutch Bushcraft Knives, do an all around test of the MSK-1 survival knife.
I love your Channel Don't delete it
Minimal difference, except in price bk 2 wins overall. You guys always make my day.
Nice
Do not delete the chanel love you guys
guys, did i wrote something about music at your videos? no? ITS AMAZING!
I’m just gonna save up for both I believe haha
Pls make a video on
BK2 VS DULO Viking.
Pls...😳
Great video brotatoe chips
You guys should review the RTAK2.
Are you guys planning on making a video about the Bravo 1.25 LT (in CPM-3V of course)?
I never thought i would end up buying both of these knifes lol
Please do a few tests on the bk7 and bk13
y'all really need to test your edges before and after with that new scale to determine edge retention with diff steels
Never, and i mean ever.... Change your intro. Its reminds me of watching a real tv show. Anyways love you guys keep doing your thing.
P.S you should do a test/review of the Buck 119 special.
Could u do a comparison of two really good budget knives Hultafors hvk and mora basic 511 good video
Neither knife "wins." It's a matter of choice and what you prefer for the tasks and needs you intend to use it to do. It may be as simple as which one feels better in the hand.
Test cold steel gi tanto!!
that open zipper zoom = gold
Great freakin vid. Did you had a camera upgrade?
Would like to see bravo 1.25 or bravo 1.5 reviewed on this channel!
Bravo1.5 or 1.25 and I love my Bravo 3! my edc Aurora light in elmax
I ordered my Bark River Bravo on the 10.10.2017 and it didnt arrived yet... im not even mad, knives and tools described the problem so i wait paitently, and wehn it will arrvie, i know the joy will be far greater this way xD
You must be waiting for the new production run. It's the downside to semi custom knives hehw
I like the bravo 1 lt
Yesssssssssss
Great video also what the heck was that passing in front of you guys at 2:32?
You should review the msk 1
Could you guys try the Fox/FKMD Trapper I would love to see you work your magic on it! Best Regards
Bravo1 all the way
Well that reminded me of the Swiss army man
Love
Try the marttiini condor timberjack
Do a test on the buck 673
4:23 Love it
COOL VID LOVE YOU GUYS
PLS TRY THE REAL M9 BAYONET
MY FRIEND HAS ONE AND IT IS A BEAST
I sold mine. The steel was softer than the wire it is supposed to be able to cut using the sheath and the knife
Dutch Bushcraft Knives
but that's because it's not the real m9 bayonet pls
Bark River Knives > Any other non-custom knife
I own both knives, but my Bravo 1 is in A2. I have tried them both and the Bravo 1 just crushes it. When I camp I NEVER go without by Bravo 1, I use it for everything and I love it! I have knicked it on rocks batoning and taken the chip out quickly with strops and ceramic rods. The BK2 weighs about 1000 lbs on my waist also, so that seals the deal...especially with the terrible factory sheath. If we are just talking cost, the BK2 is tough to beat. Both just excellent knives, but I will take my Bravo 1 against pretty much the field.
if a bk2 is that heavy for you... you should just stay home pussy.
See your flying ( zipper ) away 😂🤣
Do a test on the schrade uncle Henry golden spike.
Rope batoning!
Well done. I just came back from a six day camp out. My Esee 4 with 1095 by the end of the week with little maintenance had a lot of rust which I expected. I wanted to test it compared to same treatment of my Bark River Bravo 1 in CPM 3V and my Bravo EDC in CPM M4. The 3V surprisingly had no rust despite being wet. M4 a few stains but no rust. The 1095 in same treatment rust all over. I expected it but it was my first time with these knives in being able to have this comparison. The 3V and M4 held their edge all week. 1095 required sharpening every day. I love my Esee knives but my Bark River Bravos are proven to be better for me.
Thanks for sharing Jeff! Side by side real life experience is the best way to make a good judgement
love your channel guys. Keep up the great work.
The becker 2 is better than the bravo 1 because it's a 2 and therefore it's 1 knife unit better
Not a fair comparison. My Bravo 1 is stellar! Even with tool steel. Compare LT Wright od Fallkniven with the Bravo 1!
I'll take the BK2. Aside from the fact that it's much less expensive, the BK2 can do heavy camp labor better than the other one, plus I wouldn't mind beating on the BK2 because it's seems like an actual tool whereas the Bark River seems like a collectible that should be in a gentleman's display case. Yea, the Bark River can slice and dice better than the BK2, but plenty of knives can slice and dice as good or better than the Bark River.
How does it look like a collectable? Its plain design with black canvas micarta. Its pretty no frills. Knives purpose is slicing and dicing. What is "heavy camp labor"? What are you doing at your camp? I bet the Bravo one with CPM 3v is just as strong or stronger than the BK2 in its chunky 1095.
@@lyman135 I wouldn't buy either of those knives because I wouldn't carry either of those knives backpacking--they're way too big and heavy. As far as I'm concerned, those are camp knives, or conversation pieces. I'm not lugging them around. The BK2 is ludicrously heavy, but even the Bravo 1 at a half-pound is too heavy. I'm not trying to be Rambo. I'm interested in hiking and scrambling in the mountains, and carrying a big-ass knife is not part of my plans. The Benchmade Puuko is about the heaviest knife I would think about carrying. I'm not sure what "bushcrafters" do, but to stay warm in the wilderness I use a down sleeping bag and a good tent.
profd65
I take the Bravo 1 cause it does best what a knife is made for: cutting.
@@profd65 What does any of that have to do with the video or your original post? No one was talking about backpacking. You didn't even bring up backpacking in your 1st post.
@@lyman135 I brought up backpacking because knives are tools to me, and I judge them on their practicality, not on their coolness or collectibility. And backpacking is one of the scenarios in which I would have a knife. You following along yet? It would be cool to have knives like that backpacking, but they're too big and heavy to carry...especially the BK2. I could maybe see bringing the Bravo 1 along backpacking, but the Benchmade Puuko is half the weight of the Bravo 1 and serves the same function.
So in which situation would the knives in the video be the best tools for the job? Not half-ass tools, but the best tools?
What about using the BK2 or Bravo 1 at home? I think it's pointless to do so, because if I want to split lumber I'll just grab an axe or a maul, and if I want to cut or chop food I'll get a knife from the kitchen. So where would you use them? The only practical use I see for knives like that is to be on standby in an emergency kit that I kept in my car; since the car in that case is doing the heavy lifting, I might as well throw a big ass knife in the kit.
U should do a review on a silver stag knife pls
Can you do this test with the Bark River 3V vs the A2?
Could you please try the bark river Trakker? I would really like to hear your opinions.
maybe in the future :)
Hey dudes. I generally love your channel. But, I didn’t think that this was a fair comparison as these two knives were designed for different purposes I think. Anyway rock on! I love the cooking stuff and mickey b. Could be doing the music. Bushcraft guitar anyone?
I feel this test would have been more accurate if the Bark River 1.5 was used. Matches up with the Becker better in my opinion.
I'm going to make the BRB1 but with a longer blade.
