Dana Scully is one of the best written characters ever. No need there for pseudo-feministic agenda when there is good explained character traits with strong abilities and weaknesses. She can handle difficult situations and do a punch when needed but is never a mary sue that out of nowhere can smack a 120kg male Boxer to the ground. And she stays true to her abilities and believes - although struggling, too, in difficult times (e.g. with her believe in god vs her scientific worldview), as people do. She earns respect because of true skill as it should be and not because of her biology.
