You know what’s funny we put one of those in our backyard because our neighborhood doesn’t have a siren in it and it’s hard to hear the sirens so I put one in my backyard
There’s a triangle of sorts that goes on… a train enthusiast is likely to be a siren enthusiast, and they are also as likely to be a fire alarm enthusiast. It just depends which one is the priority. For me it’s sirens and fire alarms make a close second, and I don’t really do trains but I used to be into crossing signals
Most sirens are programmed to run a steady signal for 1 or 3 minutes. This is usually called "full alert" while the 1-minute signal is called "short alert."

Well that siren is terrifying and also very annoying. All the same, that’s interesting.
Why did you watch the video then?

Because, if you read the second part of my comment, you'll find that I thought this video would be an interesting watch.

Didn't know you recorded sirens. Thought you did only trains. This is a nice treat!
I record sirens too but it's rare that I'm able to go out for them. Thanks!

Sometimes there’s elevators in the mix, but I feel like most elevator people stick specifically to doing that

What's the difference between this, the 15v2t and the 10v2t
It's the motor I believe. 10V2T has a 10HP motor, 15V2T has a 15HP motor, etc
and the 10v2t has goofy ahh horns
Nice. The P-50 I went to last Saturday didn't go off.
Rip. I tried a 40V2T in Llano for a noon whistle. Didn't go off either.
@@TheCentralTexasRailfan Really? Was it during a week day or weekend?
