What's up with the unit being black and the battery being WHITE?! And then the logo is upside down once it's on there? Crazy stuff.
I put black tape over all my logos ... but putting the black tape over the logo on this battery didn't look good.

Can you set 9:16 ratio vertical markers (social media vertical) when shooting landscape.
You can use the rule of thirds for it - looking at the central third of the frame

I can't see full screen display when in camera mode to use for photography not video, it's not much bigger than what's on the camera LCD. How do you get the monitor to use all the screen 5.5 inch display not a cropped version.
As far as I understand in photo mode it’s not possible, only in video

On my camera (A7 IV) the entire monitor is not supported by the Viltrox monitor and I have a black border on the sides. Does anyone know how I can change this?

Try an SD card smaller than 16GB.
How's the dynamic range compared to the ninja? My shinobi always shows the highlights blown out even if they aren't in the camera

You probably have figured this out already, but you can tilt it without a tool if you apply enough force. The monitor mount adapter is really stiff and I was afraid to break it because it would not budge at first.

@@patrikmigac8998I believe you can power this with a 5V powerbank as long as it outputs 3A or more. Dont quote me though, check the specs.

It’s a monitor, not a recorded)) you can’t record on it. And you can’t display 4K 60p as well, only 1080p 60p (change the hdmi output)

Perfect but for one thing - the ability to turn that blasted fan off.... even if we have to throttle back the light to 600 nits - so be it.... but give us an option to turn that fan off.....
Apparently there was an update that allows for an OFF option.

i havent tried other budget monitors but im dissatisfied with the focus peaking on the pro. it highlights too much or nothing. it highlights things out of focus and misses the true focal plane even at stills.
To be honest “focus peaking” is not a precise tool, I don’t use it at all. Magnifying tool is a lot better in my opinion
The battery is white, I can't get my head around it. Such a shame.
Just buy a separate one, and problem solved. Plus, never hurts to have backups

I recently purchased this monitor and want to warn people to not update this monitor to the Version 4.7 which I made a mistake to download and got my monitor bricked (blue screen / white horizontal lines). So far, no support from Viltrox.

@@BCStrikeProductions Unfortunately no, I had to send mine back to Viltrox’s China Warehouse. Finally got it back and I think they updated the firmware for me while it was there. The reason why I updated mine was to have the OFF function for the fans - It wasn’t possible to revert it because 1. there’s no source file for a downgraded version anywhere and 2. You couldnt navigate the monitor because of the bricked screen. I even tried plugging it to my windows computer and tried fixing with device manager (not sure what i was doing here) but it couldnt even detect the monitor. Hope that helps

@@NOlimitsON well I dont think I have that option in Lumix. My previous monitor, feelworld f6 plus, godox, and osee can do that. I was interested with the shape of this, but I just purchase the osee one hour ago
