I never realized how many lives took place there before mine. I was there from 08’-12’, and went to Bitburg Elementary before yet another PCS. I guess I caught the end years of Bitburg…
I was in Bitburg/Trier 84-88. I went to middle school / High Scholl there. BMX bike up and down the streets listening to Megadeth and Metallica-drinking Bitburger Pills at a local pub on school lunch breaks, freaking out when they opened a McDonalds. Those were awesome and fun days. Friends: Tony Ochoa, Tony Sargent, David Green, Jeff Kunkle (spray painted his dog green), Steve Stoker, Chet Wyatt, big Mark and last but not least the THE Rock n Roll English teacher Mr. Gates R.I.P
I lived in Bitburg in Mid 70's...I played Little League baseball there, played tackle football...my father was the base vet. My older brother and sister went to high school. My dad was the little league baseball commish one year. It really sucks to see it like this.
Wow, brings back my childhood of the 70s! The AYA, the Little League fields. Where has life gone? Thanks for the video. I charish those memories right along with you.
I miss Bitburg. I left Germany back in 87. My dad was in the OSI in Germany and my dad retired in Bitburg.
