This video is the perfect format! No timelapses or sped up footage with irrelevant music over top; just the sights & sounds of the setup with candid commentary. A few clips of the event (if appropriate and client would not mind, as you did in some later vids) and the load out would round this out amazingly. Keep this up. Would love to learn more about you two in a future episode too. 🤛
Thanks! We love to hear what you like to see! That helps us plan future videos. Thanks for watching!
you need on your stage rack a patch panel front. otherwise, you always have to go around the rack. as backup when your rack will not work, i recommend a behringer flow. fits in the van easily :)
That's a good idea! Usually when I have more than 2 inputs I use my SD8's so it's just one cat5 cable to the rear of the rack. Thanks for watching man!
@@SilverCreekAudio but even this needs a go around the rack 'session' :)
... and it will not harm your connectors in the behringer, only in the patch bay. they can be changed easily instead of them in the behringer.
... and far to much 'nothing' in the rack :)
dope man thank you. i have a medium production company in Hawaii. i love tonwatch load out and seeing how everything is set up and wired. greatvwork brother
Wow, Hawaii, thats awesome! Thanks for watching! We are always looking to improve our efficiencies and on the lookout for ways to improve.
Watching from New Zealand. Where did you get the speaker cables that are power and audio in one?
They're called siamese twin cables made by Pro Co. I bought them from a large pro audio retailer in the U.S. called Sweetwater.
Hey man, just wanna ask what camera equipment do you use for your videos. Thanks!
Thanks for watching! For this video I used a GoPro Hero 12 strapped to my chest.
Did you make those combined power and xlr lines for the speakers?
I did not make them. They are Pro Co Siamese Twin Cables and you can get them from Sweetwater. Thanks for watching!
I'm thinking of re-equipping after having not done any live work for a while! Which EV boxes do you generally use, and have you ever had any issues with the single point of failure of Active speakers?
Glad to hear that Nick! I use the EV ZLX 12p and haven't had any failures with so far. I've had them for about 4 years now. Had a client blow a pair, but other than that, no issues. Good luck and have fun!
@@SilverCreekAudio which subs do you pair them with?
@@nickharvey5149 Electro-Voice ELX200-18SP
what type and brand of router are you using?
@@sendhykrismawandi7552 I use the Ubiquiti Edgerouter X SFP and a Ubiquiti Networks Unifi AC wireless access point.
What is the brand of the power and xlr boxes you use, and the speaker stands you use? If you have Amazon links it’s appreciated.
If you are talking about the road cases, they are from a local company called Kangaroo Cases based in Dallas, Texas. The stands are the Ultimate Support TS-110BL Extra-Tall. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the reply. I enjoy your videos keep up the good work!
No the box I’m referring to is the small one that looks like a DI box that has power and xlr… 19:15 in your video
@@gfagan It's a powercon drop box for stage power. Got those from OA Windsor.
It’s really difficult to come up with things to say while mic checking except “hey hey’ and counting XD
lol, I'd like to say I'm not self conscience about it anymore but I still am!
@@SilverCreekAudio whenever i have to test a mic particually infront of people it's awful. What PA Speakers do you use? I always see you carrying in 6 speakers, for redundancy i suppose?
@@Charlie-Tech-Support Yeah, the extra speakers are backups. I've taken some duds to events before and was glad I had some extras. And, they are EV-ZLX 12p speakers.
Why not use the mr18 if you are only using a small PA system
You absolutely can! We don't have one.
