    That is a very interesting DC-DC Converter. I wonder what happens if you put a HUGE battery onto the input side. Would it fry because there is no current limiter? Or does the converter limit the current?

      I did some tests... it seems that the converter (at least my unit) has some sort of "protection": when you reach the max current and it's getting hot, it shuts down to prevent damage

      It is very configurable and it has all sorts of protections and limits. You can set input and output side overvoltage and overcurrent protection. I put one of these in an ATX PSU. It died on me when I connected a 12V/3A server fan to the output. Bummer.

      I got mine when gan chargers with pd output of 20v came out and now they are cheap.
