  • Husqvarna created a ruckus in the Philippine market when it was first launched, the brand's best-selling Svartpilen 401 is loads of stylish and capable, but just how great does it ride? In this episode of Beyond the Ride, Jinno takes the scrambler on the streets of Metro Manila to put the bike through its paces. With its 373cc single-cylinder, it punches out a smooth 44 hp and 35 Nm of torque. Light in weight, but heavy in style, the Husqi is an amazing value priced at just P295,000.

If you're just going to use it as a daily commuter or a weekend bike, I actually prefer the cast wheels over the spoked. Though it does look better on spoked. But if you like to turn it into a dual sport, it's definitely a mandatory to have em' spoked for better stability on dirt/gravel/sand.

Also, not to sound smug, but I have the wire wheels with the silver rims and they completely set the bike off. Great fun and naughty little bike especially when you consider that when the road stops and the dirt starts you can carry right on with your bh behaviours 😝

Being riding my Svarty from last 4 months... Just completed 4k kms today... And I can safely say that it is the most fun bike I have ever ridden... It has only 3 negatives... 1. Seat height, 2. Ground clearance, 3. Tank Range... The seat height is okay with me as I'm 5ft8"... My solution for ground clearance is to reroute the exhaust from within the frame (like it used to be till 2019 models)... And for the Tank Range.. only solution is to carry jerrycans while on long trips in remote areas (read Ladakh)👍🏼

It looked like a great bike for me to get back into motorcycling. But a 2.5 gallon gas tank? What kind of range would that give you, maybe 120 miles, plus 60 miles in reserve? In some areas in the western United States, 180 miles might not get you to the next gas station. Shame, because it looks like a great bike otherwise.

@@mrktg147 hey mate it all happens automatically. When you hit 1000km the red light on your dash will flash for a while (it'll go away) and you read out says something like service due. Soon after this you'll gradually start to notice the bike has more acceleration. It won't be so heavy on your declaration either. As in you'll find it coast nicely in gear as opposed to feeling like its heavy on the breaks when you release the clutch. I never got around to serving mine as i was in a crash ( not my fault) so not sure if that changes anything. But trust me the bike will be so so so much more enjoyable to ride after the 1000km mark. Oh and your redline goes up from 7k/rpm to about 9k so you can really open her up. Im sad i have to go through it all again when my bike get replaced because its a pain to ride under 1k.

I went to KTM BGC back in January and the first thing I noticed was the downgrade to cast wheels on the local units. The svart and vitpilen look so much better with spoke wheels. They said they decided to go for tubeless because of our road conditions. According to them it would be easier for our vulcanizing shops to patch up a flat than replacing a tube. I still wish you would have at least the option to choose between the two. I’m planning to buy mine in April/ May, but still haven’t decided on which one, Vitpilen or Svartpilen. I love the look of the Vitpilen, however I prefer the upright riding position on the Svartpilen.

It looks like it's so light and breezy; just perfect for the hot weather in Manila - and would be perfect for where I live (Perth, Western Australia). Overall, I am very excited about it, but I still have noticed one little problem: the “balance” of the motorcycle. - When I ride straight on the road and lift my hands from the handlebars, the motorcycle starts to pull slightly to the right ... Considering that the motorcycle is brand new, from the store, I find it a little unusual that the center of gravity is out of balance. Have any of you had a similar problem?

Another downside dyan is buti pa ang AdV 390 fully adjustible front suspension na at naka TFT Screen na din at nasa 309k lang ang price. . Sa svartpilen 401 at vitpilen 401 nila ay fixed suspension lang na WP Apex.

I wish the wheels were an option in the U.S. because while I think the spoke wheels look great, I've had spoked wheels before and they're so much work to keep clean!

The motor is actually taken from the KTM 390 ADV, which is why it's better at low speeds as the 390 ADV is designed to go at lowest speeds while running off road. The engine itself is 500rpm limited lower than the Duke 390/RC390's to help with low speeds and over heating.

I’ve noticed the “small” differences between models sold across the world. In North America they have spike wheels, adjustable suspension front and back, and quick shifter. Yet they got stuck with the ugliest turn signals. In other parts of the world you get aluminum wheels and pretty dope lights. What gives?

yep they've cheapen on the specs here in ph, quite a meh tbh, duke 390 prolly better choice more specs and tft display.
