I saw David in a small Christmas concert last year (December 2021) in Dallas, and was just blown away by his voice. So much talent, and he comes across as so sweet and humble, and his voice control was amazing. I went to the concert aware of him, left a total fan. ❤

I am 64 years old I came out of that closet from the Mormon culture during my BYU time of life. I fully relate what David talks about here. Sadly it has not changed much (some positive changes in Mormon culture but not enough). When David was a teenager on American Idol, I believed he was a closeted gay boy. My heart broke for him when he came in second place, and my heart broke even more for him, when I believed he was a closeted gay guy knowing what he might have to endure in the years to come. I am so happy he has found some peace and happiness by coming out . God bless him on his life journey

I sometimes wonder if David has undiagnosed ADHD because I got diagnosed as an adult and he reminds me so much of myself in interviews; easily distracted, rambling answers, has a tendency to repeat himself lmao. It's very endearing.

I feel that I can relate to David in a lot of ways. Having a roommate, or having a best friend etc. I did send a David a fan card, never did hear back. David would be an awesome life long friend to anyone. Sadly, there does not seem to be as many genuine kind people in this world. I wish there were more people similar to David Archuleta. If not dating, he would be the perfect best friend.

Hi David. I have to repost my message to you because somehow what I posted was edited down and what was left was not what I meant to say or actually wrote. I will keep this one brief tho. My main message is that I respect the fact that there are those in the homosexual population who identify as "Queer" and that they have been at the forefront of the fight for homosexual equality and rights for those of us who pursue same sex relationships. However, they DO NOT represent all of us. There are plenty of conservative, church going homosexuals who have nothing in common with those who live or identify as "Queer". We find the word offensive and we find a lot of the behavior over the top. We have noticed that much of what the "Queer" leadership advocates does not represent our life style or sentiment. I am telling you this to let you know that just because you are homosexual DOES NOT mean you are Queer or that you have to start immolating all of the sentiment and behavior represented by "Queer" leadership. You are your own person. Whether or not you continue to keep your faith in God and act in accordance with his word is your choice, but know that you can still walk with God and be a God obeying homosexual. We are out here. No, we dont protest or participate in Pride Marches and protests. Interesting, we are able to blend in and are accepted. However, we are not blind or unappreciative of the fact that it is the "Queer" folk out here who have championed the freedom and acceptance that we enjoy today. Without them, we would not be able to enjoy the public peace that we now have. However, we never crowned them as representing who we are and how we choose to live our lives. Frankly, they walk a different path. Now, if identifying as Queer is a true representation of who YOU ARE then go walk with your fellow Queers and be happy. I just wanted you to know that you do have other options.

I have learned for myself that nobody is actually gay. It is just temptation. We are all susceptible to our own temptations. The scriptures teach us to put away the old man and become born again as a new creature in Christ. God won’t command us to do things we don’t have the capacity to do. He asks us to put away anger, lust, fornication, pride, etc. We will need God’s help and Grace each day to walk on the straight and narrow path, but we can do it! The adversary loves to confuse us with our identity because if he can get us to believe that we are born into a state that is permanent and unchangeable, we will not desire to progress. But change is the whole reason Christ died for us. It is so we can change and put off the world. There are seducing spirits of lust and curiosity that attach themselves to us and we often mistake their feelings as our own. When we recognize they are with us and as we cast those spirits out, that is when we are free. Embracing the temptation and giving in not only binds us down, but gives the devil great power over us. We have to overcome lust and the temptation of the world to be free. It is essential! PRIDE is the opposite of humility. That is why the parade is not organized by God. It is such a distraction.

Hey follower of Christ... the day I actually see someone who leads a church for Christ and not for money, lust, riches, self-gain, or self-gratification, I might actually stop and listen to what they are saying. Until then, all I see are wolves in sheep clothing, so their messages mean nothing. The Bible is full of hypocrites acting foolish in the name of their god. If there is a god who weeps for his children, I imagine he weeps at the hypocrites first because they ruin whatever good that could come from Christ.

Also, since I know you are Mormon (@followerofchrist26), the Book of Mormon is even crazier than the Bible and there's definitely "prophets" who are profit$ more than anything since the inception of the cult. Weird sex practices, identity crises, and money mongering, but the cult calls out what they perceive are sins in other's identities and sexual orientations. Hmm.
