My reasoning for why Gohan transformed in the movie is that the stakes were different. In the moro arc, they all knew Goku and Vegeta were coming to fight Moro. In the movie, Piccolo kept pushing the message that Gohan was the only one who could win this and that nobody was coming to save him.
Unless Goku suddenly lost the ability to teleport, that message doesn't even make sense.

I know in the anime, Goku was able to sense Kid Trunks's full power during the Future arc. Unless the only excuse Goku has is that he was "extremely tired" or "too focused" on the battle is a dumb reason

There’s a reason why we’ve never seen beerus at full power. They are secretly keeping beerus out of any conflict because there will come a point where he goes all out. I don’t believe anyone up to this point ic even close to beating beerus at 100% he seems to be too relaxed even after seen everyone get stronger and stronger he still just waves it off and goes to sleep lol.

You only need to look at how much of a power boost Goten and Trunks got to understand how astronomical a power boost fusion is.
Ultimately, it boils down to who has the greater "killer instinct". Most of the fights we see in Dragon Ball are fairly one-sided struggles, but when there's true equality, it always comes down to who has more desire to kill. There are precious few people in all of universe 7 that have more of a killer instinct than Frieza ... except when Gohan snaps.

Gohan Beast looks unstoppable in the movie, as he casually pushes Cell's fist away like he's made of paper after saying "okay then, now it's my turn" and with a single blow he crashes him on the ground.
And then we have Black Frieza who one shotted TUI Goku and UE Vegeta, after one shotting Gas...

Because neither are comparable with that statement to each other? Beast gohan is claimed by toriyama to surpass goku and vegeta and frieza one shots both goku and vegeta. That doesn't make them equal at all. It isn't stated how far ahead beast gohan actually is compared to goku or vegeta and there are circumstantial and outlying factors regarding frieza one shotting both goku and vegeta. Like, both of them might actually be fatigued because both went through the meat grinder that was granolah and later gas, which actually would have made frieza's victory less impactful. Congrats, you beat up two handicapped people.
You guys speculate and decide far too early on such little information. How about waiting until the series continues before making a judgment based on little evidence or information?

Gohan one shotting Frieza in that movie has been one of my favorite moments to this day. Frieza was such a menace and seeing Gohan come that far to the point he casually one shot him with a gut punch is still so badass lol

orange piccolo one shot gamma 2, so until that point everyone probably thought "eh they got this" only the small window between cell max fighting everyone was a bit doubtful but the fight was prolly like 3 mins in real time, so by the time they realized gohan went beast mode

Goku literally senses Ki across planets. Since he lived on Earth he can easily sense the Ki of Piccolo and Gohan increase a large amount.
because goku and vegeta were fighting each other and everyone else was either asleep or focused on the battle, and considering how short the events were, even if they were watching out for whatever reason, they could probably tell it ended up being okay
Theory:
When Vegeta was asking to Whis if the strongest warrior of the universe the oracol fish was referring to was Freeza, Whis said: “Perhaps it is, or Perhaps it is born somewhere else in our universe”.
That being said, there are few clues that the Warrior the Fish was referring to IS Gohan Beast.
1) Freeza wasn’t part of that universe like he said.
2) It was no Gas or Granola, either Goku or vegeta.
2.5) Super Hero is happening WAYYY After the granola arc, just look at Pan age and trunks and Goten. Gohan unlocks a power beyond everyone in a time where BLACK Freeza ALREADY exists for YEARS NOW
3) excluding Broly we only have left few options, and looking at it they put DBS super hero AFTER The Granola arc for a reason, probably because they had already in mind to make Gohan the strongest.
I came to a conclusion we’re going in a direction where Gohan will fight Freeza and they are equally strong. It wouldn’t have sense for them to make an establishment where “Gohan is the strongest of them all” and the super hero is “after the granola arc” just to make his movie and then making him weaker than Black Freeza. Just no way.
In my opinion Gohan IS the strongest in the universe, we have to understand if Freeza is aware of that because he clearly said “he is not interested in Goku and Vegeta ATM”.

I’d like to note that Frieza never said his training was complete. The only reason he appeared was because he was called there by Elec.
The implication to me is that Freiza is still training even now.
That’s a good point, maybe Gohan surpassed Granolah arc Black Frieza which is why he’s called the strongest warrior. But since then Frieza has been training and is currently still stronger.

@@orions2908 the manga and the movie are different continuities. super hero is a direct sequel to broly. its not manga canon just like how while broly is canon the events of the movie could be vastly different from the manga because we only have one panel in the manga with broly in it and broly isnt mentioned again afterwards
@@SoullessKuriboh Broly is actually mentioned in the Moro arc in the very beginning. Goku tells Merus how they fought a Saiyan way stronger than them and they had to fuse to beat him.

I don't know, During the Tournament arc Beerus stood up for Goku, once he reached MUI. And he looked visibly scared. I doubt he would fake everything. I think Goku and Vegeta are in the Angel realms of power already

gohan is awesome and i love how he is able to keep up with his dad with mere seconds of training, i also like his personality especially when hes serious/in battle
Frieza training for Gogeta makes perfect sense to me. Every time Gogeta appears, the fight becomes totally one sided. Janemba.. fodder, Omega Shenron... fodder. Even though the fight was flashy amd awesome, even Broly had literally no hope. A fight where Gogeta meets his match (before the fusion wears off) or severely struggles to barely clutch a win would be epic and, I feel, a logical doorway for further growth in Goku and Vegeta.
Frieza seems to respect Gohan a lot, as shown by their interactions in the TOP. Maybe seeing him grow up from a scared kid into a powerful warrior gave Frieza a twisted feeling of pride. Or maybe he's just impressed by the massive gains Gohan attained since their last encounter.

I think Gohan hasn't gotten a like genuine rage boost since Cell (Cell Saga). Like he hasn't been pushed through that emotional barrier in a long time which is how I think he got his beast mode.
I think In the TOP when Jiren forces the spirit bomb back at Goku and looked like he died I think Gohan was about to get a rage boost but then goku comes back and he calms down
Are we forgetting what Buu did to this man's family? Gohan said "I'm not here to fight you, I'm here to kill you" that's the type of rage that has gone so far you look calm.

2 things I wanna mention
I think we can't forget about Jirens potential as well. He went from little boy to stronger than a God by himself and as far as we know he doesn't have a time chamber or get zenki boosts. Plus better believe he is still vigorously training in his universe after the TOP so it'd be interesting to see him show up and defeat Frieza Black.
Secondly in regards to Beerus, when we see Toppo use the God of destruction power he changes in form and almost looks possessed by a demon and that was only him in training. So I think Beerus is probably the same, when we see him fight Goku or when he's being compared to these people that's only his regular everyday form but he probably has a form where he looks similar with red eyes and those markings on his body as well as getting more buff.
Ya I don't see the hierarchy of power in the dragon ball universe changing (where have I heard this before?) until Toriyama and Toei are ready to move onto another Dragon Ball series, or until they're ready to bring in another massive dragon universe change.
Stupid argument. Jiren has trained his ass off HIS WHOLE LIFE! And we really have no idea how old he is. For all we know he is many thousands of years old! His potential is thus very low, and he is already largely actualized!
I just hope they don't make him a retconned character. Seeing a character that was far more powerful than the antagonists, doesn't get zenkai boosts, doesn't have plot armour, and only became powerful by hard work alone was a breath of fresh air. I hope he becomes a mainstay and they work on more character development instead of just throwing him to the wayside as just another stepping stone.

I think it’s interesting that Frieza probably doesn’t even care about killing and fighting Goku and Vegeta anymore. It seems he only wants them to acknowledge that they can’t do shit to him now, and he can do whatever he pleases in the universe now (as a flex in a way). And as long as it stays that way, he’s content with them existing now that no one can interfere with his universal dominance and control.

There's probably a reason why Freeza didn't kill the 2 when he had the chance, and probably wanted them to be used as a means to motivate himself to not be complacent anymore like he was before he was defeated by Goku in the Namek Arc.
Facts. Goku beating Frieza on namek is the main reason why Frieza cares enough to improve himself. So now with him AND Vegeta reaching the godly tier he has no choice but to get stronger and with Broly now too? And the always looming threat of Gohan’s rage.

I actually didn’t think into Gas’s “curse” as such. When Elec calls the wish a curse a assumed it was a figure of speech explaining that Gas’s desire to win was so strong that he forced himself to keep going and it was that determination that kept him from being overcome.
I actually prefer your interpretation that the wish was actively reacting to the events of the universe and artificially raised Gas’s power. And it makes sense seeing as Gas out of nowhere first ages like crazy once he gets surpassed by Vegeta. It really emphasizes Freeza’s new power: he’s so strong that a literal lifetime of training was not enough for Gas to beat him. Now that’s a statement

I think the ego form idea for berus is pretty plausible since berus kind of mirrors freiza in his lack of motivation for training but with more of a hedonistic with food and sleepy way. If berus gets a reality check from some higher tiered entity I think a black freiza level form or at least something in the ballpark of other things like UI and orange piccolo makes sense and also just to keep him relevant if thats what they want to do.
Once Gohan obtains that Black air force energy for himself he we will be unstoppable

The English dub voice was awesome, he sounded legit.
Is that why Gas turned into dust? I thought he was just too far into his limit already, and Frieza gave him the final blow. I didn't think of it as a "curse" that happens everytime the others get stronger.
Gas was constantly trading his lifespan and ageing his body to keep ahead of Goku and Vegeta, but when Frieza showed up Gas raged out and buffed up by trading even more of his lifespan gaining a massive power up, and when frieza one shot him his body kept powering up to try and match frieza but he turned to dust and died because the gap was too big, and his lifespan too short.
Gas made the exchange in demand. Granola did this subconsciously but stopped when he triggered his eyes. As with the eyes he had the abilities to compensate for the Ultra Saiyans. Gas had no such thing
@@TheUncivilizedNation Granolah and Gas had 2 different wishes, Granolah wished to become the strongest in the universe at that moment while Gas's wish wasn't shown but was most likely to be the strongest in the universe no matter what or something along those lines
@@k1llsh0t_87 but apparently, Granolah was also able to tap into power greater than that he wished for, since his final attack to kill Elder Gas removed some of his lifespan. Which should not be the case for his wish.. But I suppose any form of limit-breaking for Granolah also accounts for a reduction in lifespan since it goes beyond the initial wish of trading away his life to attain all his potential at once.
The double copper eyes rly were just an evolution, a trait, to him attaining huge power. Ig that was his true awakening of power before putting everything into one attack. While Gas made use of the wish and his instinct physiology (his forms) to powerup.
@@marshal8358 yeah, the Double Sharingan is still part of the wish actually, Granolah has just yet to tap into it as the wish didn't really gave Granolah the ability to perfectly access and control the boost he got.

Gohan trained for 2 days with Piccolo and forced SSB Goku (which SSB Goku at that point is WAY stronger than when he fought frieza at RF) to go kaio ken.

Gohan didn't force Goku to use KaioKen. Goku could have beating Gohan in his SSB form. Gohan asked Goku to fight him with everything he got in order to scale his power and see where he stood. Soon as Goku powered up to KaioKen he put Gohan down with one blow.

I would have to go with Beast Gohan beating Black Frieza and here's why: All though Frieza has gotten more character development and even the spotlight as a hero at some point, his nature is still sinister. It's just who he is. The reason he's been playing the good guy is because it's his only way to stay alive. Becoming the most powerful warrior would revert his character back to the same sinister Frieza that would hurt/kill simply because he can. The same Frieza that would push anyone beyond a breaking point. That being said, GOHAN IS THE LAST PERSON YOU SHOULD PUSH BEYOND THE BREAKING POINT. We saw Gohan go from 0 to 1000 just because pan cried out, but subconsciously he knew she wasn't in real danger if it was only a random soldier that held her hostage. It was just parental instinct. Then we saw Gohan Beast because Piccolo was getting the hands from Cell Max. IMAGING wtf Freiza would end up unleashing in Gohan knowing very well Freiza has a true intent to kill?
thats cool and all but black frieza one shotted Ultra ego vegeta and true ultra instint goku. frieza for sure has change, in the old days and even during the resurrection of f saga, frieza would had kill both vegeta and goku in a heart beat if given the opportunity but in the manga, he knock goku and vegeta out with one punch and then he left saying that they weren't his priority today.
Besides, no amount of pushing through his breaking point helped Gohan back when Freeza was invading Earth during the Resurrection of F story. There’s potential, but then there’s currently available assets, and if Freeza is at a point that he could simply one shot Goku and Vegeta at their strongest at the same time with a direct attack, then I don’t think Gohan is getting to that level just with him busting his balls for a bit. It would be RoF Gohan all over again.

True, I feel like Frieza might start out stronger, but make the mistake of toying with Gohan or threatening everyone Gohan loves. Imagine a finale of Frieza and Gohan locked in a beam battle for 20 minutes ( as a throw back to Gohan verses Cell ) with Gohan getting pep talks from both Goku and Piccolo! Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Beerus, and Whis would all probably have to use all of their power to hold the universe together while Frieza and Gohan were fighting.

Ya i don't think Beerus or any of the other gods are just sleeping anymore, if anything they probably have stepped up their own training. I think if anything the next arc might not have any direct confrontation but frieza using proxys to bait fight's with the gods of destruction to see how strong they really are.

That’s kind of why I don’t like it. Frieza came in and defeated 2 warriors with god ki. I know he did it before but golden frieza had flaws in it that was mastered in ssj blue. And Jiren was never explained how tf he got that strong. I know it’s essentially: newest character/form=strongest but why enter all that lore if it just means new=stronger?

@@marlom7882 the biggest issue is the assumption that someone with god ki will automatically be far superior to everyone else but people like jiren, broly, and frieza are examples that it's not needed. God ki is simply just the king the gods use. It doesn't mean a mortal can't surpass it in their own way. Otherwise the moment Goku first goes SSG he should be above everyone who didn't also obtain god ki.

It'd be REALLY interesting if Frieza's main goal now is to surpass the gods and expand his empire on a multiversal scale, and he's keeping Goku and Vegeta alive because they're his key to getting the necessary power.
I love how pragmatic Frieza has become since being revived. He's huble and mature enough to accept he's no longer the top dog, he needs to actually work if he's hoping to survive in this new chaotic universe.

i think again i need to emphasize that this Beast Transformation isnt just a rage boost. This is a transformation induced by rage, much like Goku and Gohan raging into their Super Saiyan forms.
I feel they could easily write in piccolo convincing Gohan that if he doesn't keep training and become the top fighter, then his family could always be in danger. Like, imagine if Goku and Vegeta go to a different universe and are fighting to protect their own. Imagine the villain says something like "you sure you have time to be here when I sent my brother off to your universe to conquer it?"
Goku just goes "how strong is your brother?"
The villain says "same strength as you"
And both Goku and Vegeta just go "lol then I'm not worried at all"
Basically, Goku and Vegeta can go to other universes and combat the people there, while Gohan can remain the protector of their universe. It makes sense for his character, and even if Gohan is stronger than Goku and Vegeta, it doesn't hurt the story at all.

The last manga arc has definitely put an emphasis on fighters unlocking their own unique ability and mastering it rather than power level. Even though Gas was powered up beyond belief he still used some unique abilities that he had already mastered. I like this direction, and I think there will be something unique that both Frieza and Gohan can do that will be revealed. I hope so anyways.
I do too. I want Gohan to actually be a fighter that people can count on again. And I believe the Superhero movie was a step in the right direction for him. So here's hoping that the manga adapts the movie and does their own thing but still giving Gohan and Piccolo the shine they deserve.
Boy this is something I was hoping Dragon Ball would do ever since the Android saga. Everything since the has been “Ha HA! I got this power up! Meaning I’m gonna win now!” rather than interesting combat with actual strategy involved! That was one of the most interesting things of the first few arcs and tournaments all the way to the Namek saga. Super did include a bit more of that strategic combat here and there, but hopefully this means more for the things to come.

I LOVE Frieza's character development in regards to training. He never trained a day in his life until the resurrection of F and decided to keep with with his training by mastering his Golden form and now his black form. That fight with Goku whether he’ll admit it or not truly humbled him and now he wants to make sure he doesn’t lose again so no one can challenge him.

The development is fantastic. He returns in ROF and learns to train physically, then in Hell he trains mentally, creating 'True Golden Frieza' but he still held the same cockiness he had on Namek which was stomped out of him by Toppo and Jiren in the TOP, this led to him thinking of his fights with Goku and Vegeta as a "game" as he refers to it in the Broly film, leading to him being intrigued by Broly and not caring that he's stronger than him but instead is happy to watch him grow in power, and now, Frieza with the knowledge of physical and mental training, a humbled personality and battle smarts.

Yeah he'll lose... eventually. For the foreseeable future though... it's gonna be awhile. Dude got curb stomped by Super Saiyan 1, trains for three months, and is able to go toe-to-toe with Super Saiyan Blue. If he tried that during Cell or Buu saga, it would've been a wrap for the Z-fighters.
Now he's trained for 10 years!!! If 3 months can put him on god level blue, 10 years, has him on a level unimaginable.
My only problem with this is that as a meme depicts if Frieza had done a single push-up after namek on his way to earth he would have one shot trunks than Goku dudes gets too strong too quick. going from like 1/100000 of Goku's power to being his equal in 4 months training with the fodder freiza force. I personally think that it would all depend on how Frieza and Gohan go about playing their cards in a fight in the black Frieza form and Gohan Beast form. I want to say that Gohan has the slight Edge although if Frieza plays his cards right he can definitely destroy and clap Gohan in his beast mode. And from all of the material I have read about a Gogeta versus Vegito, Vegito has always been described by Toriyama as the perfect Fusion where he didn't say that about Gogeta. So I would say maybe it's possible that Vegito is slightly Superior to Gogeta. I guess we won't find out until Toyama says something about those 2 in their max potential.

Instead, it unlocked the maximum potential he had so he pretty much has infinite potential? Like instead of him having a static bucket that holds a max amount of fluid, Gohan can now increase the size of his bucket an infinite amount of times?

Rather, Ultimate never unlocked his full potential. All saiyans have infinite potential technically, potential for saiyans is more about rate of growth. When Elder Kai unlocked his power, it wasn’t all of it, it was just the max he could unlock at that time, probably due to elder Kai’s limits rather than Gohan. He can’t unlock infinite power after all.
"Potential Unleashed" just unlocked the power that his body currently had locked away, it was never a "Strongest i'll ever be/all my potential" deal.
Saiyan's have infinite potential though, Gohan's "Massive Potential" more so refers to his ability to learn and power up insanely quickly, which i think his "Ultimate Form" actually boosts his growth rate even more because its constantly pulling out his body's best as he adapts and grows.
Rather than a bucket think of all sayains having an infinite bucket, then having different types of faucets that turn on different streams of water, the more sayains fight the more the faucet turns up. For gohan he can immediately turn the faucet on basically any amount he needs at any point

It was a battle because he was enraged, you realize cell max (who is supposed to be a rival to a trained broly) couldn’t touch gohans AURA. I don’t think there was a single time the strength difference was that big. Yeah Gohan went all out, but not because cell max was a challenge.

The fact it’s called gohan beast, implies gohan will get another form in the future, something that resembles super saiyan 4. Maybe it will be called super saiyan origin, since super saiyan 4 has qualities of a ozaru(hence the beast name in gohan’s current form). Of course this super saiyan 4 form will be far more powerful than GT’s version.

When you're talking about them getting healed at 9:48 and still getting one shot you could of mentioned this was on top of probably a zenkai boost they got from fighting gas as well.
Narratively speaking Frieza is probably stronger since it’s clear the writers intend to keep him around for a while. If Gohan could beat him, then he wouldn’t be a lingering threat like his Black Frieza reveal implied him to be.

I’m interested to see what the unique aspects of Beast form is. MUI is about speed, UE about power from damage, LSSJ you just constantly get stronger, all forms don’t have unique effects but Beast seems like it should. Especially if it’s his version of UI/UE.
On note of Black Frieza, the fact Broly without training still beat his ass after he trained was probably a huge blow to his ego. Imagine if he didn’t blow up Planet Vegeta and eventually ran into Broly then. He would just die probably.

I think Whis was also talking about Gohan because maybe hero ends around the same time the manga does. I also think since Shenron unlocked Piccolos ability, I think shenron actually unlocked his powers from when he was the dragon god since we know even before kami existed that namekian forgot their name from time. So I think that explains his new form, because the mirror does count as the extra gift technically since it was not in the wish.

As impressive as it was for Gohan to two-shot Cell Max, Frieza being able to literally disintegrate Gas with his own curse is an immensely better feat, IMO. At this current point, overpowering a Broly-level character isn't as nearly crazy as outright fodderizing a living cheat-code. Just going by feats alone, *and* the fact that Frieza trained for 10 years straight (30x longer than he did in the RoF arc, when he went from being below-SSj to low-SSjB level), and Frieza should still definitely be well above him, IMO.

If that doesn't tell u that gohan has been slacking then idk what does. Gohan also said that he hasn't lost his edge which implies that he hasn't fought in a while but his body still remembers how to move and fight because of his exp. This movie takes place yrs after the ToP so why does his training in the TOP have anything to do with the movie?
This reminds me of when Captian Ginyu had Goku's Body in the Namek Saga. He wasn't able to control that power because he needed to train with it. The smart thing for Captain Ginyu to have done at that point would have been to go back to Frieza and cash in his Vacation Days to train with this new body in a far-off place where no enemy could find him. Captain Ginyu needed time to train. He was being impatient.
I think the reason Gohan attained a higher level was because he remembered the rage that consumed him during the Cell Games arc. And when 16 told him that it was ok to use violence to defend his home and loved ones and dies to tell him that, it pretty much breaks Gohan. The whole point of Super Hero was to revisit that scenario. Once again, Cell is beating down all of his friends, his father is nowhere around to help, and Piccolo acts in the same way that 16 did. He tells Gohan what he needs to hear, but he also puts him in a scenario where he will become enraged at his own weakness because Piccolo "dies" trying to buy Gohan time to power up more. Piccolo knows what drives Gohan, it isn't a pursuit of power to be the strongest. It's a pursuit of power to be stronger than anything to defend his loved ones. It's likely why Piccolo wanted Gohan to meditate more to gain a greater control of his emotions so he wouldn't lose himself to the power when he gets stronger. It'd be interesting to see a sparring match between Gohan and Goku at these new heights to see if Gohan has already surpassed Goku.

My theory is that Beerus gets stronger while he sleeps. That's how he takes 2 year naps and wakes up relevant while Goku and Vegeta train their asses off and never close the gap. He is a cat after all. I think having a feline god of destruction that destroys planets over food and takes century long naps to get stronger is the best thing I've ever heard.

Dragon ball super super hero takes place several years after the broly arc, Moro and Granola arc. So me personally I believe that Frieza has been training to surpass the sayians again. Gohan maybe has been training a bit but Gohan has always had his potential unlocked when enraged since he was 4

Freiza has always been my favorite antagonist and saga in the DB universe and I'm really glad he is now a main reoccurring character.
I commented on Gohan and Goku’s sparring match in another video of yours. Again, I believe Gohan was NOT at Goku’s level at that time. Goku complimented his son and was asked to go full power to teach his son a lesson (again at Gohans request). Just like SSJ Vegeta was teaching Cabba during the Universe 6 and Universe 7 match. Vegeta could have one shot Cabba.
Now, could Frieza take on an Ultra Instinct Gogeta or Vegito… I say “No” but even if the Dragonball Lords say “yes” .. Could he take on the Ultra Instinct combined with Ultra Ego Gogeta or Vegito?? Seth I want your honest response, please. And always, love your content brotha!
