I like how the second half of the video was almost entirely dedicated to finding ways that itachi might be able to beat pain. Really just shows what a mountain pain is to overcome.
I mean tbh tho when he brought up the ms sasuke sage naruto comparison, it made sense. Most people (me included) believe sasuke doesn’t get to itachis level until he got the ems which is also kind of shown in the kabuto fight because itachi basically carried that entire fight. So unless you think pain bodies ems sasuke who is shown to be stronger than kcm1 naruto(the same naruto stated to be stronger than sage naruto). Then itachi should just out scale pain
@@lukesullivan8071 That would then get into how KCM1 scales to Sage mode which is it’s own dumb thing (I personally believe that the only things KCM1 surpasses sage mode in is speed and sustainability), but I think most people would agree on saying that the two forms are at least somewhat relative. Considering how much prep and help Naruto got in the fight against Pain, I don’t think it’s the craziest thing in the world to say that Pain outscales KCM1.
no not really . sasuke or itachi could have killed kabuto Ira the simple face they tried not to so they could undo the jutsu.sasuke dand itachi didn't once try to hit kabuto with amateresu not once. they could of used it on the entire cave then kabuto would of been fucked. itachi was the only one who knew how to use izanami. itachi could of used the totsuka blade and fininished it in seconds

@@lukesullivan8071 I find KCM1 Naruto to be comparable to sage mode due to how both he and MS Sasuke performed against the Raikage and how Sage mode Naruto was said to be equal to, if not stronger than MS Sasuke (granted, KCM Naruto did grow stronger later in the war but still). Also, just think of how much prep and info Naruto had when going into the fight against pain as well as how fatigued pain was at that point. Considering those two facts he did extreme against Naruto

When Tsunade says that Sasuke had to be juicing to be so strong, I always took that to mean that he actually had been. He'd been with Orochimaru for years, a guy known for his immoral scientific experiments and practices. Sasuke went there to get stronger. He's already been totally cool using the curse mark. I'm sure that he'd be willing to take any experimental snake-dick pills that Orochimaru gave him.
Oh absolutely, I thought that was pretty blatant, I mean it's Orochimaru we're talking about here. That being said, I do think it's freaking hilarious that even after Sasuke spent 3 years hitting that good snake juice; when the Pain arc came around and Naruto learned Sage mode he straight up went from being no threat to Sasuke to being at a level where he could reasonably go "yeah, I could probably fold him after lunch this evening." Even after all of his training and efforts, dude got absolutely eclipsed when Naruto put his head down and trained seriously for like a month.
@@dragonlord1935 I feel like you do a disservice for same years of training Naruto did with Jiraya. The only reason Naruto was losing to Sasuke early on is because no one trained him and his chakra control was abysmal due to Kurama. Sasuke had early years with Uchiha and Itachi and later on just built upon that foundation while no one ever helped Naruto with anything until Kakashi essentially. Iruka didn't help much imo.
With proper guidance and battle experience Naruto even without Sage mode or KCM would cause problems to Hebi Sasuke, his sheer durability and chakra pool are a problem for Sasuke. Sage mode Naruto would fold MS Sasuke, but to match EMS Sasuke Naruto needed maxed out KCM without seal on Kurama.

Jiraiya blew the training even the scroll toad yelled at Jiraiya before they faced Pain and told him how he messed up.
Instead of teaching Naruto ninjutsu and ninjutsu application, Jiraiya focussed 95 percent on jinchuuriki training, something which he knew nothing about first of all.
Secondly, he went and messed up even the previous training Naruto had by fiddling with the seal and ended up loosening the seal too much, which is why Naruto had so much trouble not only with chakra control but with his emotions and control of himself because the seal was so loose that Kurama was just having a field day with Naruto.
Naruto was literally less competent when he came back from the three year training than he was when he left.
At least when he left he could control one tailed chakra cloak mode, but when he returned, he couldn't even control that because Jiraiya fiddled with the seal. Soon as he started accessing Kurama's chakra Kurama would just immediately start taking over.
Jiraiya messed up bro. He almost ruined Naruto.
Naruto would have been way better prepared for Akatsuki if Jiraiya spent that three years teaching Naruto ninjutsu and sage arts instead of jinchuuriki training

This was established as a canon fact just before Jiraiya confronted Pain. He summoned the toad that keeps the key to the seal and the toad berated him about what he did to Naruto.

I have to go with Pain, simply because Pain is such a hard counter to Itachi. He has vastly superior stamina and that stamina can be exasperated by continuing to bring back any fallen paths. Plus, their eyes make them immune to visual genjutsu which takes away Itachi's greatest strength. Even Amaterasu can be absorbed or pushed away. Ultimately, I see Pain winning a battle of endurance.
I believe this is an easy itachi win. Kishimorlto stated he made itachi so powerful he had no idea how to kill him. He never said that about another character in naruto.

I don't think the rinnegan grants immunity to visual genjutsu. Kakashi put Obito under visual genjutsu when he had the rinnegan during their 1v1 fight. Even if it does, itd only be the main set of eyes. Not all the copies in the dead bodies.

Nagato straight up fought someone as smart and tricky as Kakashi while having 4 different bodies out doing God knows what. Like, all 4 of them could be doing stuff as complex as 1 on 3 interrogations while the fights happening lmao wtf.

One thing always missed about Pain is how he scales to the entire village. He beats Chouza (Jonin), Choji (Chunin), Kakashi (Kage Light), Shizune (Jonin), Ibiki (Jonin), Three Ambu,Iruka (Chunin), Ma, Pa, Three Giant Toad Summons, Naruto (Kage-Level), and arguably the Nine Tails. He beats dozens if not hundreds more nameless ninja. On top of this Pain is interrogating people, meaning he’s not trying to kill in most cases. He destroys a village of over 100,000 people (scaling from the army they can produce). I think Pain scales to the entire leaf village, which is wild. Just my thoughts.
I think this is a really good point. He doesn't just scale over Naruto, he scales over Naruto + the leaf. I think, assuming Itachi can't one shot with Tsukyomi, then Pain wins because man can keep goin for ages apparently.
I think that you are being very generous to pain to say that he scales over the entire village.... I would bring up two counter point to that...... 1) The first thing pain does is nuke the entire village, the chaos caused would have called for most of the village top people to have handle things like rescuing people, evacuating people etc etc so in terms of the village a very small fraction of the village is dedicated to actually fighting him. granted those who do fight him are the upper tier except for, Point number 2) Might Guy was no in the village at the time, I'm 100% sure that Naruto and Guy alone could beat pain... He obviously can’t just nuke the place, but he can use Amaterasu and manhandle other ninjas with ease like pain did. Both ninjas are extremely strong. And it would be a good fight. But Itachi had to hold back on top of being nerfed by a sickness. Though he was fighting Sasuke. But here’s somthing we don’t know. Obito states he thinks that Naruto is stronger than Sasuke. Thinks. Now I do believe Naruto is in fact stronger. But Sasuke deserves credit.
Overall this debate will probably never end because it depends on how you look at it.
I always believed that if stamina is a factor then most likely Nagato wins because of how much he can draw out a confrontation. Itachi has a lot of insta kills, but Nagato has the bodies, summons & chakra to spare

I always got the vibe that Itachi and Pain were exact equals to eachother. They were Naruto and Sasuke’s main enemy for most of the series (Sasuke always wanted to kill Itachi and Naruto got the entire villiage to admire him because he beat Pain) both were also these ultimate powerhouses, but held back by aging and sickness, and they were even paired up when revived.

In that case, like Naruto vs. Sasuke, the fight is settled by who has more plot power. My bet is Itachi because he's present pre-skip.

Man, the Shikamaru vengence arc through the Pein arc was definitely the golden age of Naruto. I remember I kept thinking how much better the show kept getting into the war arc too (fillers and shittily animated episodes notwithstanding), but in hind sight I was definitely most invested up until Pein was defeated. The mystery, the Sasuke shit, all the fights taking place against our main characters as they finally come of age and prove themselves as the elite class of Jonin while it still meant something. My God, it's so good I can't get over it

Yea I feel like Naruto peaked during the Pain arc. The ending of it with Naruto having saved the village and being celebrated for it really felt like a nice ending point. Of course there would have been countless questions and plot lines left but still, it was great.

He figured out chibaku tensei in a few seconds and didn't use his full Susano'o when he helped blow it up which most people don't realise 😂. And he used amaterasu on the dog summoning then immediately turned around and lit nagato on fire to get rid of the dog.

I'm glad that they pointed out that Itachi never once, really, had to go all out in a fight. It makes me wonder what else Itachi could do, or knew how to do but didn't want to or never was pushed to do. They talked about a big factor being how much Itachi knew about Pain, but I think it goes both ways, and not just with the Susano'o, Totsuka Blade or Yata Mirror. With as analytical as he was, and how much he studied and looked into other jutsu, there could be things Itachi could pull but we never saw because he wasn't pushed to it.

They weren't able to mention Tendo Pain being able to defend himself even while casting Chibaku Tensei against Six Tails. Also, they didn't mentioned Nagato sensing Amaterasu before the fire even came out. All in all, I'm with Swag, Pain edges out a bit.

@@cotive8134 It was Amaterasu, Kotoamatsukami just activated automatically. Even Itachi wasn't able to anticipate it and was surprised, and after that amaterasu was casted. So Nagato was right, not to mention if it weren't for him Itachi would not be able to pinpoint Kabuto's exact location because it was Nagato who sensed Kabuto even from far away.

even if you factor in susanoo nagato just does to much for itachi to handle.
1.almighty push counters literally all of itachis offensive abilities and nagato himself doesn't have that cooldown.
he demonstrated this with his double universal pull on naruto and the simultaneous pull of the boulder
pull and push shared the same cooldown while on tendo.
2.preta path nagato has demonstrated using this ability WHILE simultaneously using 3 or 4 other path abilities at the same time so he can wield it like a barrier.
nagatos raw dc is extremely high too and itachi wouldn't be able to fight nagato without his susanoo at all not to mention he still cant answer chibaku tensei on his own.
you can argue genjutsu I guess but itachi did state you needed a sharingan and stamina to break tsukiyomi and nagato has the superior doujutsu in the same progression line as the sharingan and far more stamina.
I dont see nagato losing to basic genjutsu either though.

kabuto demonstrated nagato using body flicker against bee while nagato was still in his weakened state which is odd that he got sealed but whatever.

The crazy thing about Itachi, is that he is only seen when he wants to be seen. I don't think we've ever even seen Itachi at full force or power. He was obviously holding back against Sasuke. Obito legit feared him, and Zetsu said that he was unstoppable when he got serious.
Obito didn’t fear him, he just didn’t want to deal with another person fighting him. Zetsu also was surprised and claim it was impossible that pain lost. Six paths of pain would probably win just due to itachi’s stamina issues

1. Itachi, Naruto & Bee Vs Nagato (controlled by Kabuto) There's a huge difference. Kabuto almost forgot about Chibaku. The real Nagato wouldn't have just stood there like a puppet. Nagato has sensory to spot Kabuto for Itachi to find. He'll easily spot Itachi nearby.
2. Naruto vs Pain = Pain
- Jiraiya's info
- Prep time with 2 Sage clones
- Needed help from Frog Sage to reverse summon Naruto's clones
- Tsunade's slug advising Naruto
- Pain almost made Naruto lose hope when he pinned him down until Hinata SUPER triggered him.
- Minato had to reseal for Naruto, and rebuild his confidence.
- Naruto gained Sage mode after being saved by Minato.
- Naruto fought drained Pain after destroying the whole damn village!
Naruto would've been SUPER dead if it was truly 1 vs 1.
3. Itachi Vs Pain = Pain
According to this video, it seems like it's close to a draw, however, they kept stating "equal stats," which it isn't. Ultimately, it'll come down to who has more chakra, Nagato. Pain is too much of a powerhouse for Itachi to last. Itachi is finished once his Susanoo is gone, assuming he's nearly or is out of chakra. Think about how well Nagato was able to control the Six Paths simultaneously. Amaterasu will do absolutely nothing because it'll get absorbed or pulled off immediately! Not to mention, Amaterasu could get absorbed with a scroll, like how Jiraiya did after Itachi and Kisame ran away from Jiraiya's jutsu. Raikage dodged it against Sasuke, which means it's not as fast as Sasuke's Kirin (lightning). Gaara easily pulled out Madara out of his Susanoo. That means Itachi won't be perfectly guarded. Maybe Pain could pull him out. If Itachi's Totsuka blade can't reach the core of Pain's Chibaku, then he'll get trapped inside along with Susanoo. Susanoo won't be able to move.
There are so many ways this fight can last long. Pain will keep reviving. Itachi will have a tough time catching him. Eventually, Itachi will deplete all his chakra. Pain will rip out Itachi's soul with one touch while the others attack (not all 6). Itachi can never waste his chakra against Pain. Nagato is from the Uzumaki clan, which carries the most chakra. This video explained how this fight could drag, which means it'll come down to who has more chakra. Pain wins.

He doesn’t really have a counter for planetary devastation and he would probably just get overwhelmed by all the paths and run out of stamina. I do agree that the chakra and stamina is vastly in favor of Pain, however Itachi's arsenal is quite effective against Pain, if MA and PA could put three paths of pain into a genjutsu and kill them then there is no reason why Itachi couldn't do the same with Tsokoyumi considering that 1) it doesn't need the same prep time and 2) it happens in an instant The Amaterasu is a good counter for the animal summons which means he won't be overwhelmed with them. The Susano in it's base form can block whatever projectiles thrown at it by the Asura path. As for the Tendo path I'm not sure about this but the Susano with the Yata mirror could probably block the shinra Tensei and Bansho Tein, It's difficult to tell how it would interact with it tbh but in theory it could block them imo. finally as for the chibaku tensei, itachi can throw multiple Yasaka beads at it to destory it. I would say that the real problimatic path is the Naraka path because of its ability to restore the other paths. If Itachi figures out the abilities of pain quickly before he runs out of chakra then he might edge it out by a hair but if he doesn't then as you said Pain would outlast him.

Also it’s not a stretch to say pain could just absorb itachi’s Susanoo since it is just chakra though he hasn’t done it so we have no clue. If this fight is in the moment or on site, then Itachi is definitely running out of stamina fighting all 6. It's damn near impossible beating pain on site unless you're vastly more powerful than him (which Itachi is completely not), pain has more win conditions.

About Kurama figuring out chibaku tensei faster, it's possible that Kurama knows what Chibaku tensei is from his time with the sage of sixth paths and it's a reaction from memory instead of being able to reason how the jutsu works faster than Itachi.

I'm on the mindset they mentioned somewhere in the vid that since he's mentally able to deal with information collected by 6 bodies, he can handle Tsukuyomi. That and Itachi's highballs are too mythical to be taken seriously imo. On that Bruce Lee energy.
I actually think it makes less sense for Pain to handle Tsukuyomi, given this reason. Tsukuyomi is a very particular, and irregular genjutsu that can't be easily replicated. But, it's also so potentially powerful that the top antagonists wanted to use a higher version of it, which makes sense when you remember it's a technique where the caster is as god. Imagine experiencing 3 days of Kakashi's torture across multiple selves, or worse. I just don't think Nagato is getting through that unscathed.

Pain is probably the worst opponent for Itachi to try and land Tsukuyomi on. He could literally just close 5 of their eyes and have a 6th off in the distance observing the fight without getting anywhere near Itachi's line of sight.

In the novels, Itachi goes up against one of Danzo's Aburame clan members. This person isn't making eye contact, but looking at Itachi through his bugs to fight him. A great strategy. However Itachi circumvents this by casting Tsukyomi ON THE bugs making eye contact. Because the chakra is all linked together, sharing information - all the bugs are affected, including the ones inside of the aburame ninja and himself. Itachi then follows up with an Amaterasu.
If Pein can be circumvented in any way like that, then I'll say Itachi has an extremely strong change to KO the real Nagato through the paths. Genjutsu is just chakra, travelling through the body and cranial nerves (according to jiraya) the receptors transfer chakra. If he's able to move that chakra through bugs , it might be a possibility.
Itachi tbh is one of those characters, where if you give him prep time, he can likely definitely kill you. His IQ and hax is strong enough. That's what Obito is likely referring to. He hid most information from Itachi his entire life, because he believed that Itachi had the ability and means to take him out. He wasn't even as cautious around Nagato and Konan, which says a lot (also cost him, because he underestimated konan)
Owari Jules its already been proven that putting the paths in genjutsu doesn't affect Nagato.
Jiraiya put three of the paths in genjutsu but Nagato and the other paths were unaffected.
Also, there is no single record of a rinnegan user being caught in a visual genjutsu. It has never happened.

This has to be the most complicated fight to debate in all of Naruto. So many layers to it. I found it crazy how that manga page at the end could be talking about either one being the most powerful member of the akatsuki. Then the argument about Tsukyiomi’s injection of information vs Pain’s above average brain being able to control 6 people at once. We really wouldn’t know unless we asked Kishimoto.

It's tricky because Itachi NEVER fights seriously, but Pain has such a versatile arsenal and we quite clearly see that Itachi struggles with stamina/disease that it's tough to see how Itachi overcomes it. Except battles aren’t just about abilities but how you use them. Itachi is one of the top 3 smartest characters in the series. He can figure out strategies on the fly and has the power to back it up. If Jiraiya who is way weaker than Itachi could take out 3 Pains with zero intel, Itachi could take out all of them especially when he has a built in one shot ability, the Totsuka Blade, and has stronger defenses.

So let's say that at most tsukyomi disables a pain body upon use. Even if the pains just lined up and let itachi use it on them one by one, he would only get through like 3 of them before he keeled over dead from Chakra exhaustion.
The only way itachi wins is if he snipes the Naraka path then utilizes his remaining power super dee duper efficiently to take down the rest.
And even then it is still a real big maybe.
If he takes out Naraka and Tendo then he has a real shot after that.

Itachi probably doesn't know what they are all capable of off the bat, so he would use a lot of stamina if he got jumped by the 6 paths. Most of his jutsu would get absorbed and he would struggle against the summonings, mecha path and tendo path in close range.
When he figures out what they can do he would have used a lot of stamina and the pains should still be in very good shape.
Or if he is in a similar position to jiraiya where he fights a few, wins, then they get rezzed and he has to fight them again it wouldn't be bad for him.
If he somehow knows everything and does what you said then he could win with high difficulty

Just remember that Naruto first kurama cloack chakra control was able to overcome raikage's speed, which means Naruto would easily dodge Sasuke's amaterasu as well.

The way I interpret how the paths of pain functioned is that they were revived by the lord of the underworld and are being controlled through the rods by nagato's chakra by issuing commands and are moving themselves based on the commands they're receiving not nagato directly controlling each individual one himself, so they're basically just juiced up ninja with nagato's chakra and power so I wouldn't think the tsukuyomi would hit nagato if frog song couldn't

Pain wins and here’s why. Itachi would have to waste a lot of chakra to deduce all the pains individual skills starting the battle. The amount of summonings with outside attacks would pressure him to much to be forced to use susanno. The reason it gets to this point is fireball justu and Amaterasu gets absorbed or repelled. You could argue since the susanno is chakra it can be absorbed but even if it can’t itachi can’t stop chibaku tensei by himself. Genjustu wise the pains should be aware of how good itachi is at it and a good counter is having certain bodied eyes closed and some open and have it continuously switch so itachi doesn’t know which body to he can hit with genjustu. And again with the pressure from the summonings he cannot be worrying about that. He in order needs to deal with the animal, revive, and absorbing path first. His stamina wouldn’t hold out whereas the pains would keep refreshing stamina early on in the battle by Reviving paths.
well nagato can not revive paths against itachi because then itachi can cast izanami on him... and itachi can break through chibaku tensie just like 8 tails did and you too know that humanoid susano has better ap/dc then just normal attacks of 8 tails... and also only uchihas can break through tsukuyomi

About it would probably just close the eyes of which ever path engages itachi while viewing him from other angles. Plus casting it still takes a lot of chakra, something I don’t think itachi can afford to waste to many times having a regular MS that can still go blind.
@@jalajsharma1839 This battle is Itachi vs Pain, not Itachi vs Nagato. You can't cast Izanami on Pain, you need to find Nagato's real body. And you can't cast Izanami on Nagato either because the Rinnegan is immune to all genjutsu, including tsukuyomi and izanami.

21:00 aren't we forgetting something? Jariaya's Sage Mode was considered incomplete. It isn't a full sage, and I think the big difference in power output we're seeing is due to that, not Naruto being that much stronger than Jariaya.
So, Jiraya had less power because he wasn’t a perfect sage? Then Naruto had more power and thus is that much more powerful than Jiraya.
I don't think it works like that because he still had the super strength and speed, plus Mom and Pa gave him extra abilities he wouldn't have if he was a perfect sage and didn't need them.
Aside from appearance and frog kata, there's no difference between Jiraiya and Naruto's Sage Mode

The hardest part of ALL of this is that, going back kinda to what you guys were saying, in the end, we don’t truly know what it looks like for Itachi to sincerely try.
We don’t have a clue. We could ASSUME that, due to his distress and his “MY PAIN IS FAR GREATER,” that Pain himself is giving more overall effort in that moment. The ONLY time we EVER see Itachi give that level of flamboyance, is when it is literally just an act.
I almost feel like itachi was left this way on purpose. He’s one of the only characters that we never really truly see a cap to. We never see his limit. We only know what people says, which is where obito says things like “if itachi wanted you dead, you would be dead.” We’ve only seen him threaten, and based on what people perceive, that are fearful enough to not get in his way.
So like … what could this man TRULY be capable of? Has he been overhyped? Or is he truly terrifying?

I think, if they fought when alive, Pain would win. We know that Pain can pull people out of Susanoo and universal pull is basically unavoidable and the Yata mirror still needs to be used like a shield and put infront of an attack to block it. The Totsuka(?) blade while strong, won't be as useful because of there being 6 Pains. It might be able to take down one but after that Nagato will know and be careful about it. If the Totsuka blade takes time as well to seal like we saw vs Orochimaru then Itachi could be a sitting duck as well. Nagato might also be able to disconnect from Pains so if Tsukuyomi even work or have any effect on the Rinnegan, then Nagato might still just be able to stop giving Chakara to the pain caught in it so it doesn't affect him. I think the biggest problem though is, as many people have already talked about, stamina. Not only does Pain have superior Stamina but there are 6 of them and to make things worse for Itachi, the more Pains he kills the stronger Tendo becomes and we can be quite certain Tendo will last until the end because all the other Pains will give their lives to protect Tendo.
Few things.
Totska blade might work once but Deva can oull itachi into his own blade mid sealing forcing him to deactivate or get trapped.
We saw 3 paths unaffected by frog song wich is AOE then jump Jiraya so he either has mental counters he only put in his main paths, or can indeed disconnect. Either way Sharingan based abilities are single target so he turns to a sitting duck either way.
The Yamanaka couldnt penetrate the pains mind, meaning their connection to each other and Nagato is shielded to prevent this and to link it bavk to Nagato.
How do you know he can pull someone out of a sussano
When was it ever shown Pain pulling people out of Susano, it never has been displayed. The only time anyone was forcibly removed from their Susano was when Sasuke was kicked out his by Isshin in Boruto. I agree that an alive Pain would win though, just due to different reasons. Itachi doesn't have the stamina or durability to keep up due to his illness. If they were both alive and healthy with no handicaps, Itachi wins imo.
@@regularr8333 during the war arc Gara pulls Madara out of his sussano by using the sand under his feat. I think people assume pain could pull people out because of that.

I don't know if that guarantees it'd work though in Pains case, the thing with Isshin and Gaara was that they entered the susano and made physical contact with the user. But to say without a shadow of a doubt he COULD do it is just wrong until it is actually shown.

for the assessment of finding invisibility, the Sharingan can see chakra and the best comparable feat of this is when Sasuke saw the mines in the Deidara fight. so if the chameleon has any form of chakra what so ever, the Sharingan can see it. and i would assume that the summoned beasts at least have chakra flowing to them to issue commands like the 6 paths since they have the rods and rinnegan too.

21:00 pain's physical limits are so different in these 2 instances though. vs jiraiya they're at all full power and in the rain village, vs naruto theyre entire nation(s) away and already performed the amped almighty push to level the Leaf. Sage naruto vs Pain was a huge cap to power scaling naruto because everything that COULD nerf pain, did. And everything that COULD plot-buff naruto, did.
I watched 30 minutes of them talking about everything besides pain vs itachi before I gave up on this being about them 2 at all.

I was always under the impression that Obito, Itachi, and Pain were all relative. I based that line of thought on the simple idea that Obito would not sick Pain on the leaf because Itachi stood in the way, Pain clearly understood Obito's power because of Konan's plan yet still seemed to assume that he would be the one in charge after all biju were captured, and both Pain and Itachi had a clear level of respect for Obito's authority.
Though Itachi was keeping tabs on all of these dudes. Just think about why none of them acted on Konoha until Itachi passed away

Obito and Itachi had a MUTUAL deal, so any reason that "Obito never attacked Konoha, he followed Itachi's demands" can be reflected on Itachi - "Itachi never interfered in Obito's plans or stopped him from killing Jinchuriki's". You need to put this both ways, but Itachi fans always love to have it sway in Itachi;s favour even though Obito had a much, much better deal and actually had a reason to keep Itachi alive whilst Itachi had no reason to keep Obito alive
Obito agreed to this because he wanted Sasuke, someone who he viewed as more powerful than Itachi in the future, and the reason he agreed to Itachi's demands was because Itachi would serve as the catalyst to constantly make Sasuke stronger. By having Itachi alive and on his side it would make for a smoother transition for Obito to manipulate and use Sasuke.
Itachi on the otherhand had ZERO reason to agree to Obito's terms - he knew he was a risk to Konoha and Sasuke (coincidentially the two most important things to Itachi and the two things he always tries to protect) yet never once tried to interfere with Obito's plans.
Also, no he wasnt keeping tabs on any of these guys. This implies he was carefully watching them for the Leaf village and sending them information which is something that never once was stated or said. Not only does Konoha know nothing about these two, but Itachi himself had no idea about Pain's powers and nothing about Obito's either

28:15 I think the way Obito stopped Amaterasu was by removing his right arm which was Zetsu anyways, and then just attaching new one. This wouldn't even be last time he lost his right arm specifically. Later Konan explodes it, and few episodes later he has new one.

This video seemed like they were trying to give itachi's side every benefit of the doubt, though a lot of indirect scaling and by seeing statements through a biased lense. I don't see him winning at all. They barely talked about how the actual fight would go. His ninjutsu can be blocked by summons, absorbed by preta, pushed away by diva, and countered by asura. When it comes to taijutsu, he'll be getting jumped. It's not like he'll try and face them head on anyway, seeing as he'll get pushed away, have his chakra absorbed, or get his soul ripped out. As for genjutsu, it's definitely something to fear because I do think tsukuyomi could put a path of pain out of commission, I just don't think itachi will be able to do this. First of all, even a non-sick itachi couldn't shoot out 6 different tsukuyomi in one sitting, that would exhaust him trying that. Second, you could just have one or two pains back off and watch itachi from a distance. If one pair of eyes are on him, then all of them are. Meaning the pains can close their eyes or look at itachi's feet or whatever while fighting to avoid lethal genjutsu. And third, the rinnegan likely is just resistant to sharingan and maybe MS genjutsu. Plus, they're linked so if one gets put under a genjutsu, all the rest will know and release them. Then if itachi pulls out his Susano'o, he'll be a big target that has to keep all 6 pains occupied. Because if he can't, the animal path can just re-summon animals, the preta path will try absorbing his Susano'o, the path that summons the king of hell will revive teammates, and the diva path will pull out planetary devastation. If you think his totsuka blade can break the black orb, fine. But you're weird, it's more likely that he doesn't have the AP to destroy it. So at the end of the day, itachi can't see everything, can't block everything, and can't genjutsu all of them. Pain has too many win-cons so he wins
Yeah they gave Itachi a lot to make it seem like he had a chance. Even when they said they might tie, they forgot that Nagato is still chilling in his hideaway. If Itachi miraculously is able to push Pain to use chibaku Tensei, it’s over even if he somehow seals Pain because Itachi is dead and Nagato just lost his extra bodies.
