Calgary had a lot of guys who knew how to fight that year.
They sure did. I'm not sure who Nashville had dressed that game, but they made an error sending out who they did for the last face-off. Calgary had Oliwa, Warrener, Regher, and Commodore out there. All guys who know how to fight, and Nashville had almost zero muscle out there. In the clip we saw at the very least they had Tootoo dressed. Had to be a few more guys on the roster tougher than Adam Hall. Lol
@@howardanderson3662 Yeah I was thinking the same things as you. I found the box score and Nashville had Jeremy Stevenson who was pretty tough and then just Hnidy, Tootoo, Walker and Hartnell. Calgary had Simon, Oliwa, Regehr, Commodore, Warrener, Iginla, Montador, Chris Clark had 8 fights that year and Shean Donovan had 4 and even Denis Gauthier would fight. Nashville had Jim Mckenzie and Jamie Allison not in the line up and I think Calgary had Andrew Ference not in the line up.
@@UkonJohnNord oliwa got in a fight earlier that game to and nashville put a rookie on the faceoff and oliwa was just chirpin him the whole time the kid wouldnt even look at him as soon the puck dropped oliwa went to town on him
I watched this game when I was young. First hockey fight I've seen. Cheering for Kiprusoff during that time.
Everyone was. Nobody picked Calgary to make the playoffs since Turek was shit.

This brawl led to the rule where a player who gets an Instigator Penalty in the last 5 Minutes of the Game is given a 1 Game Suspension with a $10,000 fine being handed out to the Head Coach of the offending player's team being introduced in 2005.
