I am just about to build this model. At first glance I didn't fancy my chances, but after seeing you do it I feel more confident and raring to go.
Much appreciated for doing this video. I'm sure it has and will help many people. Thank you.

Thank you for the compliment. I hope you enjoy building this wonderful marble track as I did.

I received my kit a couple months ago but have not started it yet. I've been looking for a video of the build and just now found yours. I've built a few kits from Wood Trick and for me it's always a big help to watch a video while doing the build. Thank you for sharing this video and when I get started I will be watching this. You earned another sub.

Awesome! Thanks for making these excellent videos! I watched your Marble Run Night City video, and it really helped when I built mine. I also like how you show your mistakes, and how you fix them.
You're a real asset to CZcams!

Thank you very much for this very nice response. I'm only human, and people make mistakes sometimes. It is therefore only normal to show these errors.

Great vid. And we both broke the exact same piece. I laughed so hard watching that part. I just finished mine last night and was thrilled with the finished product.

😂 Then it is clearly a production error in this kit 😉. I hope it stays with this one accident.

These videos have made my build process significantly easier (I'm halfway through Leo's 2nd video). If you are attempting this build, watch videos 1-7 first. A few tips that I noticed:
    1. One of those snap-off hobby knives are indispensible for removing the individual parts. Turn the boards over, and you will see where the parts are attached. All you need to do is snap those tiny connections. Needle nose pliers too - especially if you need to redo some of the connections.
    2. Wax/Paraffin is your friend. They don't give you much. I'm using a candle. Sand rough edges too. A few passes is all that is generally necessary.
    3. Test fit moving pieces. Make sure the motor can turn the gears in it's housing before mounting it.
The build quality of this product is excellent.

    This is SO helpful!
(How did you know to put wax on parts 105 please?)
    Thank you!

Thank you. I'm glad I was helpful to you with my video. In the instruction manual, when installing part 105, there is a small symbol indicating that lubrication is required. Good luck with building.

@@leokessels88 Thank you Leo! Now I see it. So small... Best, Stan

Leo, now I see you putting lubricant on part 106, but I do not see any symbol to do that. How did you know please? Thank you!

    • @leokessels88
      @leokessels88  Před 2 lety

@@vegstan I use common sense (sometimes). If wooden pieces rub together, they need to be lubricated. I don't need a symbol for that.

@@leokessels88 Thank you. I thought that might be the case. I am about to start part 2.
