I went in in 2012 I only did just under 2 yrs and got boot camp. But they effed up the ORIGINAL BLOCK WITH THAT LOCK IS E HOUSE. B IS DIFFERENT. I've seen B house and ALL of us go to E house
I did 3 years in Maryland prisons, they've closed most of those old gothic prisons. I know the one in Baltimore is closed, "Dracula's Castle". They also closed the one in Moundsville WV, I toured it later. At about :54 he calls it "the brake system". That is the slam bar, where prisons got the name "slammer". The one they closed in WV still has the electric chair and you can see a trap door for one of the gallows. Our guide said people would come from miles and bring picnic lunches to watch the hangings. There is a tripod mounted machine gun in the back of the cafeteria and tear gas squirters in the ceiling. Another tripod machine gun aims down a corridor. A line painted on the floor is called "the deadline", you didn't cross that line. I remember when I was a kid WV had very faded license plates, even when they were brand new. I never knew why until I toured that prison. The guide said every license plate in WV was made there. The inmates pissed in the paint.
I dont get it. 75% success rate for re offending yet its just a intake prison now. Makes alot of sense. They arent proffiting off of convicts not reoffending anymore so they shut it down. Smh.
this video has misinformation i think. from what i was told in jail you always go to saint cloud first. then if you reoffend you usually go to another prison without going back. so the 75% might just be him saying they dont come back here 🤣 which is hilarious. that makes him a flat out liar lol.
I hiked in that park many times. I used to live across from it, around the corner from the prison. It's pretty neat. There's quarry ponds and fun rocks to walk around on.
I think it's for teenagers and youth groups of prisoners people who moved in the area of the country to make sure that they were called in to be able of access to the bathroom door 🚪 in a place.
If we can give prisoners free college free medical and free dental why in the hell can’t we do that for working citizens that have never done anything wrong never hurt anybody never killed anybody never stole anything maybe if we were to offer all these free amenities to everybody no one would end up in prison????!!!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 they don't do shit for you medical or dental wise in there... free medical n dental.. I didn't get my teeth fixed and they left me full of hep c and wouldn't treat it I went to Dr and cured it when I got out
73% of offenders stay out of trouble after leaving. thats cause its the first prison they send you too 😂 if you make it past saint cloud you have re offended lol.
I was there 1992-1995. Colin Gau was a AW at the time. The dining hall looks totally new, it used to have carpeting and actual tables and chairs, We used to be able to wear our own clothes, your family could bring you a christmas package of food at Christmas . Your unit could vote on a meal and then order food from the outside a few times a year. It wasn’t a bad place to do time back then. I had a 54 month sentence and did 36 of it, did the last 8 months in Faribault . I think the 75% success rate is 75% don't return to the Minnesota DOC. That doesn't mean a inmate who got released from MNDOC isn't a frequent flyer at the local jails or didn't get Federal time or time in some other state. I never went back to the Minnesota DOC but i did get arrested by the Feds in 1997 and went to Federal prison for 11 years., i ran into a few guys i personally knew from Minnesota prisons and met a lot more who had previously done state time, so that 75% sucess rate is deceptive.
I was locked up there from 1989-91 first time and the last.
Good to hear Reginald.
wat u do?

i love driving by this prison, it is really beautiful and gothic. pretty much looks like a castle.
Unicornlove did five years in it lol
Reminds me of the Shawshank prison. The scene when he was walked inside is exactly what I felt. It was terrifying.
I just got release from that bitch! A HOUSE UPPER
Is this the prison next to Highway 10 just southeast of st cloud
Yes
Need more prisons like this one.
Maybe the Red Wing Juvenile Correctional Facility should be done next?!

its still open, but yeah if its just for intake why brag about 75% success rate.
There's no way they have a 75% success rate cuz 82% of people who go to prison in Minnesota reoffend so not sure how he got that 75%

All those Canada goose in the yard. How ironic. They are free as a bird.
