I will probably make a change to the cutting edge in the future as mentioned in the video. I was having to apply a lot of down pressure to make it cut resulting in me losing traction.
Yes indeed, I started off a little slow and then got faster as I learned where the bumps was and what I could get away with. I got footage for one more video on it finishing up this job.
I have been waiting for this moment, that scraper is a handy piece of equipment. It performed great You can move a lot material quickly. Thanks for sharing this
@@LifeWithChase oh good, I have noticed you can also dress up the area you are getting material from, if you want or need to do that. It’s just a all around great piece of equipment
That Mahindra was sure getting a workout, for a small pull behind scraper it seems to work well.. from what little I know about scrapers the cutting edge has to be almost perfect or they will not dig or load right. I know the hydraulics would be a problem but have you thought about trying to hook it to your Dozer for smaller distance jobs?
Yes I thought about the dozer but its not plumbed for a ripper or winch that could be easily tapped into, and would have been to slow and lots of undercarriage wear as far as I was going. Would probably do good for short distance though. I think putting a straight cutting edge with a center edge a couple inches longer would make a world of difference. This cutting edge would likely work good for cleaning out litter of a poultry house where you wouldn't want it to dig into the ground.
Fantastic, looks great too. Are the hydraulic lines easy to hook up? Any issues with pressure release? Lines that long gotta carry a lot of hydraulic oil.
No more trouble than disconnecting and connecting a loader or any other hydraulic implement, sometimes they connect pretty good and sometimes they fight you a bit.
My old man has a Mahindra. It's smaller than yours. My brothers run it but I never have. He don't have a bucket on it. I think it would be more beneficial if he did

Nice! That is a slick little dirt mover for sure...

Yes, it surprised me on how much dirt you can move in a short period of time. I have some footage for one more video on finishing up on this job also.

Yes a tractor is many times more useful with a loader. That's one of the main thing I use mine for is picking up stuff.
Hey Jack (of all trades). 😂
Hey, happy 4th of July, well 5th now! 😂
