I was sooo proud to see the Nigerian emblem feature in this epic performance. The traditional drummers, the Efik dancers and the fabulous back up singers...it was hands-down a Materclass performance by Burnaboy and his entire team.👏👏
Sikiru Adepoju won it for his contribution not directly alone like Burna Boy did.
Burnaboy is the only one to have won a Grammy for best global music album category as its the first edition. He's the first to win a GRAMMY for his entire album. Sikiru Adepoju won a Grammy for his contribution on a global drum project.

Congratulations to all the winners but let's not get too happy because the Grammy Awards are known to acknowledge our people when we only complain about the lack of acknowledgement. But we should never care too deeply about validation and acceptance from these organisations...true or definitely true?

burna boy is first and only Nigeria that have won it with his original work wiz kid has won it 2015 with drake and now with Beyoncé....and the other man won it as a drummer with a group ifrom Uk...it is because burnaboy won it with his original work that is why we are talking about it now.....wizkid won it with drake 2015 nobody talk about it

Burn'a Boy is the first original Nigerian to win the Grammy without join body. The other guy did not win Grammy as a Nigerian
Just for the record. Two Nigerian artists had won the Grammy award before Burna Boy. Babatunde Olatunji won in 1991 and Sikiru Adepoju in 2008 in the same category with Burna Boy.
A correction, babatunde adetunji didn't win a GRAMMY but was nominated in 1997 for contemporary best world music album. While Sikiru Adepoju won a Grammy for a drum project collaboration for best contemporary world music album. Burna is the first musician and Nigerian to win for best global music album category. A laudable achievement.
