Yeah, amazing job. I wanted to hear what happened to Anna! Maybe she only got exposed to a small amount since she wasn't "bitten" but just scratched... maybe her body is fighting it and will develop an immunity to the infection! Idk, could go a number of cool ways from here on out. I'm SO down for a Part 2 and beyond as well. Great writing forsure.

What a cliffhanger!! Really hope there's a follow up to let us know what happens next. Plus it gives us an extra excuse to listen to your wonderful voice, keeping us insomniacs company through the night❤
After the story ends, Doc says "it doesn't always have to be a happy ending...". Which sucks because it works, as a cliffhanger, but as an ending it's just abrupt and bland
Theres no way thats the ending. It cant be. Nobody would put effort into a story like this just to have a lame ass end like that... if there's not a part 2, we riot!

I took a break from the storytelling so its nice to hear that voice today😊. Its been a while. I like to let the videos pile up so i can binge listen while making jewelry or crocheting etc. We are having horrible storms and rain here in South Carolina and its supposed to be a rough nigh with tornadoes and hail and winds😵💫 So im gonna be a nervous wreck......the stories will help keep me distracted.

It takes a special kind of stupid naivety to keep an infected person in the group unrestrained, I would get it if they had known the person for years but this was literally some person they picked up.
Yes that irritated me so much. If it were me, she would've got left. I'm not chancing my own life to figure out if this stranger could turn and kill me.

That was a pretty good story. I have to say though, their compassion for Anna was their undoing. The minute they saw that the infection was turning her they should've eliminated her. You take no chances in a zombie-infested world. One more thing...why didn't these two secure them some firearms? That would've been priority numero uno for me.
Loud sounds attract the hordes and alert less than desirable survivors to easy prey.
Guns are too loud, and even if you find or fashion yourself a silencer, ammunition is going to become increasingly more difficult to find. I would keep guns as a last resort. Good melee weapons will suffice for everyday zombie apocalypse shenanigans.

And i'm loving the sound affects. Just the right volume too. Sometimes a good story can be totally ruined when the background overtakes the actual narrative. Or you find yourself straining to hear what that interference might be. By the time you've figured out its supposed to be background you've lost interest and the plot! But you have the balance just right.I am really enjoying this.

Just wanted to say thank you for helping me through very lonely, stress filled nights, I cannot be the only parent that stays up thinking about how they cld of been a better parent that day, worried about their babies, wondering what we can do the next day to be better for them and so we put on a good ol Creepypasta so it can help drown out all of the fears and stress of the day so we can get some much deserved rest, this was such a wonderful story. Again thank you so much for what you do, I used to just read the creepypasta until I'd pass out and then about 2 years ago I discovered that there are narrations on CZcams and I must say your voice is absolutely incredible and makes the experience all the better! From a struggling mama I truly appreciate your work. Whew! There’s so much to say about this one! I suppose my first instinct was how the hell do two “good ol’ boys” off of a farm end up anywhere without shotguns? That’s totally and truthfully unrealistic. And then I have to say that Jeremiah must be the smartest young man in that town. He had the nous to stay hidden until he was sure that he was semi-safe. And it worked out for him, plus he has been able to keep it together more than anyone else. Now you could attribute that to simple things like the lack of fear of certain death, or one really brave kid! Either way it makes no difference, as he’s done one helluva job being the proverbial rock of the entire group. Also, regarding Anna, they should’ve known that she was on a fast downward spiral and eventually things would get ugly, but this is far and beyond any “normal” zombie apocalypse. Her limbs have taken on their own sentient life. What the heck? Even if they’d amputated her leg quickly, she would have still gotten sick, albeit slower. As if it is indeed a virus, it’s coursing through her whole body. But that’s where it changes course for the unique. I have only seen one vampire film, “30 Days of Night: Dark Days” (sequel to the original 30 Days of night) where a man bitten only superficially was able to remain in control of his body and mind. Now, Of course he had to drink blood, but never killed anyone. This sounds quite similar, and that was possibly the catalyst for (the idea) her ability to fight it.
So we’re at the radio station, and I’ve been expecting a trap. And judging by the way it stopped, it very well may have been. Or, possibly ,the DJ will bust out in the Nick of Time and save the day! Either way, Jeremiah needs to be protected, and Anna may be lucky enough to blend in with them, thereby reducing her chances for additional harm. Bill Murray did the same thing in “Zombieland” and it worked well for him.
Now, I’m sure there will be a sequel, because if there’s not, then we will have been left with the worst ending in CreepyPasta history. And that’s saying something!
Much Praise to the author HilmApollo1, who has done a great job with both the story and leaving me scratching my head about what that moniker means? And of course I must give Dr Creepen his due respect and appreciation for delivering this work to us as only he can. Top Marks to all!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏

It's great that you can tell right away that the person who wrote this was not alive when landlines were things. They did not require electricity
They'd be fucked with dial up Internet too lol! Imagine folks these days having to turn the Internet off so their mum could use the phone to call Granny and talk total shite for the next 2 hours lol
They don't use radar sensors recorders?
Unless it's a portable phone in which case you do need electricity

@davidh7177 lol..I feel your pain! One time my husband was working late at night and I wasn't expecting him for several more hours. I was on the internet (dial up) and he got off early and thought he would be funny and sneak around and come in the back door (which we never did) because sitting at the computer desk my back would be to that door. When I heard and thought a burglar was trying to get in I was torn because in order to call 911 I would have to change the cord for the phone over from the computer and plug it in before I could use the phone line. So instead I grabbed the biggest kitchen knife that was handy (butcher knife) and when I realized I would not be able to hold the door any longer I decided I would stab the moment the door began to open. My husband was able to open it and all he could see was that huge knife in my hand coming toward him and started screaming it's me, it's just me. I strongly considered looking into divorce attorneys the next day...but that was 20 years ago and we are still married. Lol...damn dial up.

What I found interesting was how the hordes where described, an endless sea of corpses rushing towards them. That alone is what would make any survivors shit their pants and what made earlier zombies so terrifying.

I also work on a Cattle farm. I work in Predator Management for local farmers. If times was to turn Bad I'm roughly prepared if I'm caught in the zombie apocalypse at work lol. I've got about 500 rounds of 7.62x51mm on me. The boss man got me a rattler Thremal scope for Christmas. It's shows body heat and the black and white infrared outline. Come to the farm I'll protect you lol 😆

I'm almost 25 minutes in and i cannot help but think why, once they ran into that huge mob running towards them, didn't they go back to the ranch and tell them what's happening. Clearly they were close to the family that owned the place or the woman wouldn't have been crying when they left. It's just really hard for me to believe that they wouldn't have gone straight back there to inform them and to help get them ready for whatever they all decided to do and then the two could go off and do whatever they're doing now. Dont get me wrong, I like it so far, it just doesn't make sense to me that they didn't do that immediately after their first encounter with the zombies.
Also it's a bummer this story is so short and doesn't seem to have a continuation.
Electricity being "ON" has absolutely nothing to do with the phone lines working. "Land Lines" carry their own electricity for use of the phones. So, when the power goes out it absolutely does NOT affect the land line phone system at all whatsoever!!! 2 completely different systems and completely different wires running them. You can actually take power from the land lines to use for other low voltage electronics. Like charging a cell phone or powering a radio 📻📻📻 for broadcasts. It's not a lot of power, by any means, but can be helpful when the power does go out. We have land line phone cords cut and wired just for this use during power outages.
