As a Browns fan I’m excited to see us and KC tag team on this matter and take the Patriots out. Will be a more competitive league again and we won’t have to see the most boring (yet great) QB every year in the Super Bowl. Don’t sleep on the Jets and Texans either.

I remember listening (radio) to the Browns play the Colts, in the 1964 NFL Championship game, which the Browns won.
Believe it or not, but that game in Cleveland, was not sold out, so there was a local TV blackout.
Fast forward to today: This young Browns team, now has a legitimate shot, at winding up in the Super Bowl.
Two championships in one lifetime, is all this long suffering Browns fan could want.

I think the OBJ trade was great for the Browns while the only reason I think it was stupid for the Giants is cause they gave him a massive contract. If they didn't give him a contract and traded him I'd understand. I also feel bad for Saquon Barkley tbh.
Also lastly... the Giants are rebuilding but in my opinion they are keeping Eli to bridge the gap for a year. I think they will trade up for a QB and have Eli mentor him and teach him for a year or so and then move on... I also think trading for Jabrill Peppers was a sneaky smart move because in my opinion he's a solid safety and he honestly reminds me of a younger Landon Collins.

Dorsey got Baker, Chubb, shored up Oline with Washington, drafted Vernon, Richardson for DL and we have Garett. OBJ pushes this talented team into a possibly elite season. The OBJ trade did not happen in a vacuum.
oneznzeroz WR’s and RB’s alone don’t get you to the SB, but a very good defense, a very good O-Line, two great RBs, a top young QB and now adding probably the 4th best receiver in the NFL, that is what takes you to SBs, on paper this is one of the best teams in the AFC, IDK if they will have the experience to win playoff games but the talent certainly is there

The best move the Browns have made since coming back in '99 is hiring John Dorsey. ALL of the good things they have done tie back to Dorsey. He was laughed at last year taking Baker at #1. He was laughed at for taking Ward at #4. Ward made the Pro Bowl. He raised eyebrows when he moved Josh Gordon for a 7th rounder. Then the culture improved big time and OJB is coming in. In short, Dorsey is common denominator as to why the Browns are so improved.

Browns haven’t done anything beyond improving over a 0-16 season. Getting OBJ is good, but what makes the deal great is that they also have Landry, Hunt, and Chubb to really bolster the offense. The only potential issues could be injuries and Baker. Baker had a great rookie season, but we all know that the 2nd season can expose a number of things when it concerns QB’s. Folks need to dial it back a bit and allow the Browns to earn the praise on the field, not the paper.

First, grats to the Browns for making some great trades/acquisitions the past 2 seasons.
Secondly, the Giants aren't looking at this upcoming season as the end all be all. When Eli goes, it's Saquon's team 100% and I think the front office saw the dilemma in that if Odell stayed. He's an amazing talent and I hope he's even more successful in Ohio but the Giants cornerstone of the franchise is Saquon.

The Giants could use the 6th pick and 17th pick as pieces to move up into the top 3 to pick Dwayne Haskins, although it would certainly help Haskins to throw to a receiver like Beckham unless the Giants are afraid Beckham asking for the ball would hurt Haskins' development.
My very first thought when this broke was...I hope they do not trade both 1st rd picks to move up. They have many needs everywhere but RB.
Trade 2019 No.6 and 2nd rd picks in 2019 and 2020 and a 4th or 5th rd pick this yr or next. So No.6, two 2nd rd picks, and a 4th rd pick. To move up 3 or 4 spots. That should do it. With lots of depth on defense in this draft someone would bite on that. My Colts traded 2018 No.3 for No.6 and three 2nd rd picks. I think Giants can pay slightly less with the depth on defense and less QB buyers this yr imo

Eli is mediocre. With a good line he looks good. He is not a playmaker. As a giant fan whose been following this team for years since tiki barber and Strahan those 2 super bowl we won was because of our defense and excellence running game by Jacobs and Bradshaw. Eli in the regular season in 2007 was awful. But played ok in the playoffs by not turning the ball over. I will give him credit by saying 2011 was his best season. Both regular and playoff. He is tht kinda of Qb who needs every thing around him to be perfect. If the giants Defense is having an off day don’t expect Eli to rally the offense and win games
