The best thing about Brooklyn 99 is that it doesn't vilify Amy for being a nerd. Sure they do point out that she is a little over obsessed with things but it isn't any different from Jake goofiness or Rosa's badass nature or Charles' oddities and Terry's love for yoghurt. She's an unashamed nerd, but she's also an amazing cop and a great person, not a caricature. Sure, B99 is a sitcom, so the behaviour is a little over exaggerated, but it isn't her whole personality, as is the case with most other female nerd characters. She's passionate, badass, acknowledged as pretty and has genuine growth throughout the show, especially with her relationship with Jake, which didn't just make her Jake's girlfriend, but gave her distinct stories and paths of her own.
The irony? This character dissection is so freakin' nerdy.

Lets Talk Issues I still remember my teacher taking my test away in 7th grade for talking during a test. I was telling the person behind me to be quiet.
Ratatouille Who? Apparently if you were talking you must be cheating. I got my test back with a 0 on it. Me, being a straight A student, promptly went to the bathroom and cried. Luckily when I told my dad about it, and was able to provide some witnesses he went down to the school to have a chat with the teacher (in his special response team uniform 🤣). At first she wanted to just give me a 50 but he made her grade it and I ended up getting a 90 something. God bless how intimidating my dad could look.
@@dizzy7291 teachers are allowed to take away tests if you are talking. That's something they tell us before every test. You could be discussing answers so almost all talking is completely prohibited. Though if the student explained he/she was only telling someone to be quiet and has witnesses who saw, it's kinda weird the teacher still took it.

Yes that makes sense however I’ve never even seen anyone get caught when they where cheating, but there was a kid who told a person who was cheating to put the answer sheet away or they’ll snitch. Teacher saw and took away the person’s paper (who wasn’t cheating) and gave a zero. Guy who cheated didn’t get caught. I agree you shouldn’t talk in general but even during unimportant ones they think we’ll cheat. Same teacher the other time. Kid told someone to be quiet and the teacher heard and took away the paper. Kid who was talking said that they told them to be quiet and so did 2 other people, which happened to be the person’s best friends. Teacher basically said “Excuses, Excuses,” and gave *everyone* who said the guy who wasn’t talking was innocent (besides of course, the person who was talking). It’s quite late for me so I’m sorry if it doesn’t make sense.
I've heard that so many times, only happened like twice around me and to people that actually cheated.

One of my favourite examples of Amy’s obsessive organising is when Terry says the office needs to be tidied and he immediately looks at Amy, who quickfire lists off what she needs to get started because of course it’s a plan she’s ready to put into motion at the drop of a hat (which she’d quickly pick up and dust off).

Rather the Kessel Run was a trade route crafted by traders and was the length of 18 parsecs. This was a run from the edge of The Maw, a turbulent nebula cluster, to the The Pit, a cluster of asteroids used for mining & other illicit trades. So, when Solo says he completed the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs, he's actually talking about another route he found through The Maw which is only 11.5 parsecs instead of the usual 18. Aka he isn't talking about time, but rather distance...easily mistaken due to both runs being called Kessel Runs.

Another reason I love this show, they don’t make a whole conflict/mess thing out of their relationship like if they were on and off again like a lot of TV relationships are. They have their problems occasionally but overall, they’re just a normal couple which I appreciate and it’s a refreshing change to not have a lot of drama stemming from a relationship haha.
