      My son is 32 now. In our small town everyone knows everyone. We were good friends with the parents of his school mates. It would have taken 300 cops to stop us parents from going in.
      Ive said it over and over... I would rather die trying to save my loved ones than live with the memory of doing nothing.
      I'm thinking we would have driven a truck straight through any blockade and straight into the building wherever we thought we could gain access.
      I could live with peace of mind in jail if they had the nerve to convict me for saving my child. I would face death without a second thought to save my son...
      The entire thing is an absolute disgrace.
      Starting with where the shooter with no job who was " bullied for being poor and having bad clothes" got 2... not one... 2 ARs each retailing close to $2000....

      Two wanted to go forward and advance on the shooter but they were told to standby/stand-down as was the Chief.
      The problem is that Chief had his men wait long before he was ordered to stand down. The Chief is truly just a coward. Thank god that border patrol agent was there and didn’t give a crap about orders that day. He cared more for the kids, all the cops should have. Hell, they even got the wife of one of their colleagues either shot or killed, I can’t remember if she did die. I imagine that officer lost all respect for his depart

      The other soldiers did nothing because they were following orders. They followed the chain of command or r at least that would be their excuse. Nonetheless, the Uilvade Police showed great cowardice. They might as well worn skirts to this major police event.

      That's not what involuntary manslaughter even is for at all and you should know that better than most. We shouldn't just stretch laws to punish moral crimes. We should charge people with anything that fits the crime under the law. Police would be sued out the wazoo if we start down that road and I don't want police feeling scared to act or NOT act in some situations where it would perhaps be irresponsible to do so.

    When an unarmed parent went in to save her child...Gómez, a farmworker, received a call about the shooting and rushed to the school, despite law enforcement’s attempts to stop her. She was handcuffed by US marshals, who claimed she was being “uncooperative.” However, Gómez refused to back down, insisting she needed to get to her children.     where are the charges for the teacher who violated safety protocol by propping open a door that is to be remained shut and locked during school hours? Where are the charges for the principle who knew the door lock was faulty and did not make any effort to fix it? Both of these are responsible for the shooter gaining access to the school. Security and Safety are multi faceted. One failure does not result in a total collapse.
