I have a theory that many children with speech defects were given acting lessons and Libravox and others provide an ongoing therapeutical platform.

The thing I really dislike is AI..I'm happy with the narrator..it very well read..I think voices are appropriate for the story...

@@ellenmendoza7246 Some AI voices are really good now and hard to discern...but I dislike them for a number of other reasons.
I'm shocked at how many current actors cannot do any passable version of a RP accent (though there are now many versions of RP). Perhaps Garrard actually spoke in Estuary English with a really annoying nasal timbre - but I doubt it. It's impossible to get past the ridiculous accent...let alone that he has an "ugly" voice. Voice training for actors has really deteriorated and it doesn't do them or the audiences any favours.
