I don’t believe Makarov will get it, at least this year. Watching his posts, he doesn’t appear to be getting a full lock-out on his reps and being that he, historically, has such power off the floor then seems to slow right down around the knees to then do a kind of jerking to get the lock-out, I don’t feel he addressing the appropriate part of his lift. Then again, I can’t deadlift that much so I’ll sit back and cheer him on.
Also as someone who isn't in the running for 505 (and I will never be), I think he might have regressed a bit from before. But of course, we only see what he chooses to post.
