So cool! I went there once by myself and just missed the last tour. The guy said it didn't matter, gave me a hard hat and flashlight and told me to be careful. Just wandered by myself for an hour or so.

Nice drone footage Carpetbagger! It look's like every square inch of property has been used, not leaving room for a single tree! I was surprised to see so many people touring the prison, I guess it make's for an educational family outing.

I used to live a block from Eastern State before it was a museum. One day I was walking by with my wife and friends, and "Joe the cat man" (the custodian who cared for all those feral cats) offered us a free unofficial tour. It was awesome. FUN FACT: You notice how all the toilets are at the front of the cells, beside the door, with the pipes running out into the hall. This was intentional, so prisoners could not communicate with each other by tapping on the pipes between cells.

Broke into this place while in college, before it was open to the public....my first abandon explore. Then went back the first day it was opened to the public-- originally only on Halloween for self guided tours. My husband and I found our way to "off limits" area and took pictures of the barber, the surgery, and a chapel complete with prisoner painted murals. Amazing place with a vast history.

Omg, I paused your vlog to have a look at the aerial shot of the penitentiary and surrounds and I have to say that Philadelphia must be, without a doubt, the most depressing landscapes I have ever seen ! I come from Queensland, Australia, and live near Moreton Bay. ( look. It up ) ~~ I. See trees water, individual looking homes in beautiful tree~lined streets, where the sun shines most days. My city, Redcliffe is on a peninsula, and although no surf beaches are here, we have the beautiful cam waters of Moreton Bay, too keep us cool. Outdoors is where most people on the peninsula spend their time. Thank you for the vlog , even if it is a little scary !!!! Alison xoxox

You should go back during the fall. They do Terror Behind the Walls and do a whole Halloween attraction that is one of my favorites. Another place to recommend to you done by the same production company is Pennhurst Asylum. It is located at the old Pennhurst State School which is a great explore too. I'm not sure if you can get into Pennhurst without permission, but I have gone there with a group outside of the Halloween time to do some ghost hunting and it was so neat to be inside the buildings. Something about these places is just so authentic that when you walk in, you just get an all around creepy vibe. I have never been to Eastern State for the daytime tour, but have been meaning too. Thanks for the video!

I think you captured an EVP on audio. Around 9:18, right after you read the confession about someone who claimed they killed someone and buried the body in their back yard., You're looking the the gate of a corridor, I'm guessing the hospital wing based on the cross thing on the gate and you could hear a couple very distant voices of other visitors. But then sounding much closer to the camera, a small voice that sounds like it says "what?". Was Anna with you by any chance?

Listen to this creepy voice, "I killed him!!" at 5:31. Do you hear "That was me!!" right at the beginning of 3:10? I think he's saying "Help me!" at 4:33-4:34. I don't think your properly licensed to help him. I would love for someone to leave a comment on what they think is being said at 6:29. Try slowing the audio speed to 0.5. I think someone's saying "Hi!" at 6:58. For those not hearing any of that I'm using headphones, the volume is raised to nearly maximum and the audio speed is changed from normal to 0.5. That was very interesting. Thanx for sharing.

But then what sounded right by the camera I heard what sounded like "What?" I commented up above and asked him if his daughter was with him. Interesting.
