Within the first 2 minutes I end up having to bail off the Ventrac 4500K! đ€Šââïž
Watch as the Ventrac 4500K Tough Cut goes to work mowing overgrown grass on this steep slope! It's Oddly Satisfying to see this machine in action and knocking down Overgrown grass in no time!
Check it out...
Ole SLOPE GOAT never disappoints!!
I agree!
Well, I'll tell one thing...... THAT is one hell of a machine to do what it did! ..... Bravo!

Thanks for subscribing! Haha yes! Itâs made to do some extreme work! More vids coming!
Awesome machine!
Ohhhhhhhh yeah! đ
Man that looks fun! Glad you got her out of that hole!
Itâs a lot of fun!!!! Going up and down these slopes gets addicting lol. Thanks for checking out the vid! đ
That is absolutely amazing! đđđđ
Thanks for watching!!!!! đđđŻ
That thing is a beast. Fun to watch you working it.
Man it really is a beast! Glad you are enjoying the videos! Which ones do you like to watch best? Steep slope mowing or just overgrown lawns?
That was insanely exciting!! đ great job!
Haha thanks!
great job
đ
Thank you!!!! đđđ
Next time you know where the holes are đđ. You did a nice job anyway, looks so much better đ
Haha thatâs right! đ. Thanks for watching!
Super job, Mowssouri. After watching your awesome video, I have a desire to get a Ventrac. I've been looking and not far from pulling the trigger. Excellent video. Have a fine week and upcoming weekend. Enjoyed a full-watch. đđœđ€ 7/13/22
The VenTrac is an awesome machine. I have seen them at work on slopes you would not believe. Just go up and down like you did. Be safe out there.
Ohhhh yeah. Safety first! Thanks for watching this one! đŻ
What a beast! Great job!!
THANK YOU!!!! đđđŻđ
Good job looks real good
Thank you! Appreciate you checking out the vid! đ
Now you need the power rake and bucket to fix the washouts. Blue cord channel has done this. Good job sorry the problems with the washouts was unknown to you.we use Ventrac on slopes near 30 on a dry lake bed. The operator feels very comfortable.
Thatâs a GREAT idea! Thanks for the feedback. Would love to get in there and smooth things out for them! đŻ Thanks for watching. đ
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri yes and I see you have the new power rake. Cannot wait to see you using the machine.
That machine is a monster. Job well done.
YESSSSS!!!! Thank you so much! đ
Awesome Ben Truck, it's a monster! Gets the job done . You'll probably need to sharpen your blades after this cut. Good for you. I enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing. MAY GOD BLESS YOU.
Thank you! These blades are heavy duty and seem to last forever before you have to sharpen again lol. And Iâve cut some nasty stuff. Thanks so much for watching. I appreciate the support! #GodProvidesâïž
The perfect job to demo the Ventrac and that toughcut deck!
Ohhhhhh yeah! Thanks for watching!
Love your channel
Appreciate the support! đđđŻ
this machine Within its capabilities is awesome I saw nothing better than that so farđđŒ
Oh yeah. Itâs a machine! Crazy what itâs capable of doing.
That Ventrac is the BOMB. Very impressive.
Thatâs what Iâm talking about!!!!! đ. Thanks for checking it out! đđđ
Nice machine.
Thanks! Appreciate you stopping by to check out the vid.
A beast of a machine..yes it can
Ohhhhh yeah! For sure! đŻ
This is an amazing cut on a steep grade that only be done with an AWD Ventrac. The very tall grass can hide not only holes but sometimes trash & bottles tossed by motorists. Bravo & well done. I suggest cutting some test paths w a string trimmer to check the grade and traction before using the Ventrac. Not a job you can rush, but that cutting deck is amazing. Kudos for such great work. State Hwy Dept should send you an award.đźđź
Thatâs a great idea - taking the trimmer and knocking it down to see what is underneath. But man you would have to have one heck of a trimmer lol. Thanks a lot for the compliments. I appreciate it. The Ventrac really shines on jobs like this. Makes it look too easy!
Not just an award but maybe hire him as well.
There you go! Weâll clean it all up. đŻ
Wow Iâm impressed
I learned that I need a winch tractor get stuck in mud got it out
I definitely need to invest in a winch!
Great video
Thanks a lot! Do you like the slope vids better?
You did a good Job Looks good!!!
Thank you very much! đ
Pat yourself on the back after that job!! That machine is a beast!! Amazing job!
Thank you!!!! Itâs definitely a machine! I was surprised how easy it walks up and down the hill. Appreciate you watching. More vids coming soon!
That was a true adventure. Glad you had some one to pull you out. You did a great job though.
Thank you! Appreciate you taking the time to watch. đ
very awesome video
Thanks for checking it out! It's amazing what this Ventrac can do on slopes! đź. Have a great night! đ
Job well done
Thank you! Appreciate you watching! đ
Job well done sir đđȘ
Thank you! Appreciate you watching. đ
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri your welcome sir â€ïž
Ventrac the man
Your the man
Thanks for watching Tony!
Nice work⊠especially after that mind jarring start up. You kept your cool well. I did a crazy cut today on my Turf Tiger 2.
Thank you! Appreciate you watching. Was it a pretty grown up lawn for the TT2?
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri I enjoy seeing the work from other parts of the country. I just found your channel⊠definitely like it brother!!! I uploaded my footage from yesterday if you want to watch it. Have a great Sunday, try to relax some.
Awesome! Iâll definitely check it out. Glad you are enjoying the channel. đ
I had the same situation yesterday , I know how you feel first time I ever said BAIL to myself
Oh wow. Careful out there! đ
Good vid. Roadside mowing can be a real challenge, but slopes like that are what make it better to use the Ventrac Tough Cut than to attempt using a standard tractor-brushhog unit. And you're right in saying that it looks easier on the vid than it actually is in reality.
It was a steep booger. I felt very safe on the Ventrac. This was my first time really going down a steep slope, so wanted to be cautious when doing so. Everything turned out really well and it looked great when finished.
Raise the mower. Put the weight transfer on level 5 and back out. Weight transfer shifts the mower weight to the front axle and wheels.
Unfortunately it was high centered and the frame was on the ground. Not much clearance on the Ventrac.
Nice work as always. I'm very curious if the Altoz I picked up would have done any differently in that hole. Probably not, it looked gnarly
Man it was DEEP! I could have sent it on down the hill, but I didnât want to chance tearing up something underneath. Appreciate you taking the time to watch. đ
Man you should you weren't driving a tank because that looked so easy. Great work. đ
Haha...it sure feels bullet proof when climbing up and down the hills knocking down tall grass! đ Appreciate you watching the Ventracin action! đ
hey Cameron, Ian from teamgecko in Australia. I specialise in steep mowing and slashing, I think your video just cost me $60k. I am amazed just how good your machine is, that is bloody awesome. I run a Razorback cmx2302 (canycom) on most of my jobs, the ventrac is going to be a game changer for me...thoroughly enjoyed your channel mate. keep it up.
Hey Ian! Thanks for tuning in from AUSTRALIA! đŠđș Haha - I think itâs worth the cost! Hopefully youâll be thanking me and @Ventrac for making you tons of money in the future with the machine! đŻ. Thanks again for watching!
(Posted by Rick Pickell) The Ventrack is an awesome tractor. But I use a D.R. 34" Field and brush to tackle the insane grades. It is a two wheeled walk behind.
Oh thatâs cool. đŻ
Nice job u took a risk but it work 4 u
đȘđœ
Yes sir! Thanks for checking out the video. đ
I think you could have floated on down lol. That thing is a goat!!
Haha...I need a big skid plate on this thing so I can just send it next time. đ. Thanks for watching, Randy! đ
Hard to tell I know video donât do it justice. I think Iâd driven right thru it instead of all that work to pull it backwards. It couldnt flip with the deck out front and duals . Iâve got 32 years slope mowing on Steiners and Ventracs
Me too! That steep of an angle way easier to just go with it. Especially since you had nothing stopping you at the bottom or in the way. No guts no glory Looks great. I bought the fast flail for it and it is even more betta! Looks way cleaner no long clumps like the tough cut leaves behind.
It was going to bottom out if I kept going so decided better pull it back out of there. Next time Iâm gonna just send it for you and John lol đ. Thanks for watching guys! đ
You need hearing protection along the side of that road without a running mower! Steeper than it looked!
Lol thatâs true! Video really doesnât do it justice. It was pretty steep! Especially the first time down! đł. Appreciate you checking out the channel! đđđŻ
A question. Why is it necessary to cut it at all. The vegetation helps to absorb the noise from the highway
To create better visibility for the business from the highway.
To control rats mice from making a home.
I have a Steiner do similar hill out by my road. Watching video that hill looks steeper than 30 degrees though. Cameras never really capture how steep they are.
Exactly! You never get a good idea how steep a hill is by watching a video. Have fun on the Steiner! đŻ
đđđđđđđđđđđ
Thanks!!!!! Appreciate you taking the time to watch. đđŻđ
@ Tractor time with Tim had some videos on the Ventrac
Oh yeah! Iâve watched a lot of his vids! đ
Whatâs up man . The ventrac is a beast , is that yours ? I saw thereâs different attachment s for it , very nice job đđ»
Thanks a lot! I actually won the Ventrac as part of the landscape contractor challenge back in March. And yes, it is a beast!
Nice work- in your opinion would the single wheels been able to get the job done? I have axle extender kit on my 4500P which gives it some more stability but not sure if duals area always needed.
Always run duals on the slopes. It is very stable with the duals. Always feel safe. Just watch out for those washed out areas tho lol. What attachments do you have for the 4500P?!
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri - Thanks for the reply. I have the finish deck, tough cut, bucket and grapple, sod cutter, and a homemade 'steel rake'.
Nice! How do you like the bucket and grapple?! I would love to have that next!
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri I love it. I have used it the most of all my attachments on my jobs. I do more landscaping than mowing per say but the bucket and grapple has been awesome for setting small boulders, picking up brush and logs, leveling gravel, hauling mulch, landscape mix, and DG. I had one job to remove 144' of side walk. After breaking it up with jack hammer, I was able to scoop and drive into roll off container and dump. A back saver for sure!. Getting it done here in TX.
Thatâs awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience with it. Now Iâm really wanting it!!!! I have a lot of trees to cut up and move around this Fall. I thought the bucket & grapple would be perfect for this. Also, it would allow for us to extend our services in the Fall/Winter months with the Dump trailer we use. đŻ
I don't know other folk. But me, I would have gotten my weed trimmer and cut a line down that way it would have told you how steep it is. Over here in my city they use the commercial zero turn bad boys on that every weekend. They have never failed
Thatâs a good idea. Thanks for the tip! Next time Iâll try to pull that off for you. Appreciate you watching. đ
That is the exact reason i always mow UP steep slopes like that.. if you feel a wheel drop in you can use gravity to your advantage.. if you start from the top and you have a wheel fall in ..ALL the weight of the mower is IN the hole..
You are 100% right! I wanted to start at the bottom, but couldnât. I thought if I could just make one pass down and then work from the bottom going up and down I would be set. BUT....I hit this washed out area first thing lol.
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri LOL! such is the luck..
Haha yup
I've been there, Cameron. It happens and you can't see what's under all those weeds. DON'T forget to put the Tractor in NEUTRAL BEFORE towing. The safest way to tackle an unknown area is to find the safest way to the bottom and then work your way up. Ventrac even did a video with me showing this technique. I'm glad to see you having so much fun on your Ventrac! I LOVE every day that I'm on the seat! czcams.com/video/7ENDEqOwyEg/video.html
Hey Bradley! Thanks for watching! My plan was to make one pass down to the bottom and then work from the bottom up. I just picked the wrong lane first thing lol. Everything went smooth after that! Thanks for the tip about sliding it into neutral. Unfortunately Iâve had to pull a lot of zero turns out of ditches in the 20 years Iâve been mowing - so I was quick to release the hydros (put it in neutral) before hooking up to it. Iâll have to check out your video! Thanks again for stopping by! I appreciate it. đ
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri I enjoy watching others having fun on their Ventracs! It's always a little scary doing a job on a new slope because you can't see the terrain under all those tall weeds!
You are 100% right! I tried to scope it out the best I could, but just guessed wrong. I even cut out to two passes on top so I could look down the slope. Still didnât see it lol. Iâll remember for next time tho!
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri Yeah, totally bad luck, man!
Based on your experience, would you recommend it is safer to start at the bottom and mow up hill especially when mowing deep grass?
Absolutely! Thatâs what I wanted to do on this particular project, but I just couldnât do it. Had to start at the top. My plan was to make one pass down and then work from the bottom going up. I picked the absolute worst spot to start going down lol. đ€Šââïž
With some extreme hills you start at the bottom and work your way to the top
That was the plan, but there was no way to get to the bottom. So I was going to make one pass down and then work from the bottom back up. But I just picked the worst spot to make my way down lol
As soon as I saw only 4 wheels, I knew the problem.đ€đ€đ€
I was gonna say start from the bottom up.
Absolutely. That was the game plan. Had to make one pass down first and picked the one wrong spot lol.
Thanks for posting this . I have been looking for an upgrade for my business and now I know to avoid the ventrac thanks again
What type of equipment are you looking to add to your business?!
check out the power trac PT-1850 awesome machine good video by the way
Thanks! Appreciate you taking the time to watch. đ
What program do you use to manage your business?
Iâve been using QuickBooks and Horizon360. Thanks for watching!
[1] Would it have been easier to cut side to side rather than top to bottom?
[2] Would it be easier in future to terrace the hill?
After about 24 degrees itâs much easier and quicker going up and down. It was pretty easy work once I finally made it to the bottom and started working my way up. Appreciate you taking the time to watch.
Are you able to charge more because it is a special application machine?
Absolutely! Especially the very steep hillside that you could put this machine on. It will go where most tractors wonât.
Glad you didn't get hurt that would have sucked
Absolutely! This machine is very safe to run, call but I didnât want to push it as this was my first time on a steep slope.
If they can't see their singyou let me know I'll come take them trees out for them lol
Is that Greenwall Tree Care in the house?!
The ventrac is a beast , is that your machine ? Iâve been seeing ads about the ventrac they got quite a few attachments for it. Looks awesome man !!
Yessss - itâs a machine! I won the Ventrac Landscape Contractor Challenge back in March/April đł. Thanks a lot for watching! đ
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri oh awesome man congratulations!!
Thanks a lot!
So what part did you have to "bail off!" ???
That part right there...
So how much does this exact model tractor cost ?
Head over to Ventrac.com to get pricing for any tractor or attachment. đ
Some times a weed eater is the best thing to use on high grass.
Itâs hard enough to stand up on this hill. I couldnât imagine using a string trimmer to tackle this one. đ
What did your setup cost?
This complete set up is around $40,000. Appreciate you taking the time to watch!
Turf tires on a hill is almost impossible to do anything with on a hill.
Itâs a little tricky. But this one was easy once I started working from the bottom and going up. Thanks for watching !
Should have lifted the mower up to add weight to the drive tires and then tried to back up.
I thought I might be able to do that, but that hole was so deep that it got me high centered. Only way out was a tow rope lol. Appreciate you watching the video. Iâll be hitting another slope this wknd. Hopefully it goes a little easier than the start of this one. Stay tuned...
This is great but aren't you worried about mowing over an old car wheel, that happened to a guy with a tractor pulling a mower, doesn't that bend the crankshaft on a conventional riding mower or hurt your blades.
My land is steep, and in the Caribbean. Are there people and machines like Ventrak to do a job like this? Please contact me, thank you.
Iâm here in the US, so not sure whatâs available there in the Caribbean. But Iâll do a quick search for you and see what I can find in the Caribbean. Thanks for watching
so yeah it can make it ya just need a lil speed so your momentum can jump da hole đ pretty sure the ventrac was designed for even steeper
Lol steeper yes, but deeper no. It was bottoming out. Next time Iâm just gonna send it over the washed out area lol
Interesting engine sound - I've never been around a Ventrac with a Vanguard.
Even with duals, the bag bad Ventrac will slip, flip, slide, and get stuck. Don't know why Ventrac doesn't offer a 100AH Lithium battery and a rear winch. Maybe it would make them look weak?
Iâm starting to like the sound of the Vanguard! I run 2 Ferris Z3X mowers with the 37HP Vanguard engines. Theyâve been great engines so far.
Thatâs a great idea! Mount a winch to that bad boy and try to get it stuck lol.
Thanks for taking the time to watch. Appreciate it! đ
I would go straight across the hill with the mower
Instead of up and down?
That would not be safe. The Ventrac is safest vertically.
Definitely safer to go up and down
That job was a nail biter
Ohhhhh yeah! But it turned out to be a FUN one! Thanks for watching. đ
Why not leave high grass for some sound barrier. Put sign closer.
Sure looked dangerous.
The goal is to get it smoothed down and eventually looking nice and manicured for those passing by. This tractor is designed for even steeper slopes, so we were very safe maintaining it with the machine. Thanks for watching!
đȘđ»đđđ»đđ»đđ like â aki đ fyp đ€đ»đ
Oh yeah thanks for watching!
Rule #1. Always walk the terrain first. :)
Rule #2 - Just send it if the terrain isnât walkable lol đ
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri I wonder if mounting a WARN winch on the rear is doable.
Absolutely đŻ
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri Might be an interesting video. :)
Ohhhh yeah
That's too much of a slope. That's more then 34 degrees
A little less than 30 on this one.
I would do that on riding mower that hill ain't nothing to me
Yeee yeeee đ€
I am not sure why you mow uphill first? Not being a wise a@&. Just want to understand. I am buying a ventrac so Iâm watching lots of video.
The safest way to approach any steep hill is from the bottom and work your way up, especially if you donât know what type of terrain youâre getting into. If you start at the top and work your way down, when you hit a hole like I did, you can get in trouble quick. Washed out areas are common on these steep slopes so you never know what youâre getting into. Keep me updated on your Ventrac purchase!
Inexperienced operator. You don't know what the machine can do.
Found a hole...
Next time do the walk around first you know that now
Iâll do a drive around lol. Iâm not waking through that mess haha
Where in "Mowssouri" are you? I follow Ron Pratt who is a tow guy in Scott City and pulls lots of people out of bad situations with his Rotator truck. A lot of what he does is semi's who need towing and/or cars that go down steep embankments. I've been following him for about 4-5 years. The things his Rotator can do are simply amazing (affectionally known as the Tator). He has a very family friendly channel so it's even safe for kids to watch. Check out his channel if this interests you. Here's a link to his channel.
