So what’s so “LMFAO!” about a guy thanking & commenting the OP, saying he’s “putting it on for young men out here w/o fathers?” That’s some of the dumbest shit I’ve seen in a good long while. Not to mention how fucking GAY it is for a grown ass man to use “LMFAO” in a comment. And to know that that’s also & obviously a commonly used, not to mention, gay af little acromym you use. Not at all unlike a fucking 12 y.o. girl when texting her friends. But I guess what I’m really getting at & saying is that when I read your comment indicating that the guys comment caused you to “LYFAO!” caused me to, immediately after reading that, and all by itself, caused me to ROTFFLMGAO!! So thanks for that one. It’s been a while since something made me ROTGFLMGFAO!
PLEASE do it in the same order he did. Find all your power wires first !! With your car off, car on, even try with lights on an off. You don’t wanna start searching for speaker wires until you identify the power inputs to your stereo headunit.
I’ve been searching CZcams for the last few days trying to find somebody to explain the wiring for my Malibu and nobody explained it better than you did so your speech is fine lol thank you so much cause I seriously didn’t know what to do. They kept talking about them, but they didn’t talk about the difference between the colors and stock wires. They just kept talking about whether they were harnessed or not and what tools to use.😊
I'm so glad I saw this video I had no idea on where to begin to retrace the wiring of my system should be able to fix it not to mention I'm having to get into it trunk that doesn't even have a lock so this really really helped me out and I will be tune in to see who comes the rest of those speakers cuz I got about $8,000 worth in mind I can't wait to get it back working thanks for your help man
How can you do this from the speaker side. I removed the factory door amp but want to use the factory wiring to connect my speakers. There are 8 wires for each door and want to make sure I connect the right wires to the speakers. Thanks.
So I'm trying to hook up A new DVD/CD deck. My last deck was just CD. Extra wires, Brake, Neutral, and front / rear cameras. I'm having a bit of trouble. I've got the speakers connected but Im not getting any power. Not sure which wires on my Tracker are the brake, Neutral, power, memory, any help would be appreciated. Thanks Bubba
What can you tell me about my 96 Ford Explorer? I have no speaker sound, it has an onboard amp or it may be an aftermarket amp, looks pretty shady the way it's hooked up, but how can I get sound?
I have a 92 chevy caprice classic. And I not getting any sound outta my speakers.i have a Bose system and the amp is wired ,I think through all the speakers.how do I by pass the amp and get sound out of the speakers?
I have a 2005 Saturn relay and i cut my wire harness off so when i hook up my radio it stays on without the key on and then my radio displays security basically saying its hooked wrong but i tried everything but still does the same
👍👍👍....thanks....the way me and my brother did was all the same you did.but i had and old transistor radio..took out the old speaker..strip those wires and connected them to those wires in the dash.its battery power radio..but when we heard sound.... 👍😆
Can I do this with the multimeter to find my reverse light wire? I need to install some. If I probe around while the car is in reverse it should work, yeah? UPDATE: It worked. Thanks!
My question is using a DOUBLE DEN abs getting it to put sound to the speakers. All the wires and power, ground have been voltage meter verified . Either ohm, consanguinity and residence. This blue wire and in my Ford Expedition that supposedly blue base casting with a black strip. Is supposedly the fix to let the stereo sound to go . However it’s mot working. Everything is wired correctly because I use harness no butt spiking and the factory amp works. I put the factory stereo back in and everything works including sound. Plug my DD IN And it comes on but no sound . ??????? 2008 Ford Expedition XLT AILPINE DDEN STEREO WITH THE $134 FACTORY PLUG HARNESS WITH ORANGE Orange red strip BLUE POWER ANT BACK UP CAMER REVERSE WIRE BLUE WIRE those are the only wires not linked to the harness.
I am installing an aftermarket stereo in my car... I was able to match up all the colored wires on the harness to the corresponding wires on the stereo, but one of the harnesses has a solid blue wire that doesn't match up with any other wire. My understanding is that this is the wire for a power antenna. I don't have a power antenna, so can I just seal the end of the wire off and leave it unconnected?
What if I dont want to cut my head unit wires to find the right wires to the speakers? My new unit came with a connector that connects to the OEM old connector
I'm trying to figure out which wire behind the radio in a 2000 Ford Ranger would control the power to my power windows my four-wheel drive and my dashboard lights but all the fuses are good but I can separate all the wires and everything works
I’ve got a question I’m old school with car radios and all the new wires in cars and vans now are so confusing to me anyway. How can I identify the speaker wires with out any brakes in the wires behind the radio.
Okay well I know what my speaker wires are but I don't know what the two wires are that are next to the red wire on a 2007 Jeep Wrangler one is white one is white with an orange stripe
Yep ive been there cleaning up other peoples chopped up wiring too many times. The speaker wires can be non related colours, so out comes the multimeter in ohms mode, it quickly finds the pairs. But (and there always is one) if someone has one of those old fashioned external rear/front control pots, it can confuse the readings. I use the 1.5v battery also to find which speaker is connected to what wires. The memory power / main power / illumination power/ antenna power trip people up sometimes, depending on if the radio wants them. Correct speaker phase is a good thing to get right too. Can you tell i've done too many bloody car radios LOL :-D
