Can’t wait for the season opener. Hate mosquitoes, last year here in SW Ontario, they were around till the end of October due to warm weather and then November got so cold that everything went into a state of deep freeze. Thanks God December got warmer so we had some good late season action.

Wow, the Lord works in mysterious ways. I was literally talking to my wife about getting new waders am hour ago because during this early goose/teal season I found out mine have a serious leak in the crotch. I mentioned that I watch your channel and I was thinking of buying high n dry waders and would ask during your next upload how long they've lasted you and low and behold you do a review video! I'll be ordering a pair tonight! Thanks for all you do Joel, looking forward to the next video!!

I love the boots on the High n dry. I wore a set of caddis for a year and the boots were so stiff and uncomfortable. I love the simplicity of the high n dry. Very easy to move around in, no excess bulk. The only negative would be that its a taaaad bit short on the legs so when kneeling i feel like i might tear it. I wear a size 10 stout 5'9"

Of course I hunt in Los Banos California in water no deeper that your knees. If you guys are out West not facing belly deep water and sub zero temp's, consider this affordable and comfortable option.

I was blessed to win the first giveaway pair of H&D waders last year just before I was going to purchase something else. Just to add to the review: I wear waders about as hard and as much as is possible. After a full season of everything from hard walk-ins to timber hunts to 30+ days in a rice field I've just done 5 hunts in the last week for early season and the High & Dry waders are still flawless and dry. I've never made it through an entire season w/o leaks in 4 previous brands of breathable's. I, like mentioned ,would prefer elastic straps with rubberized pads that don't slide. All in all would highly recommend and will most likely have a second pair ( ie: cold weather model) shortly.

Just bought a pair and tried them out this weekend for Teal opener. Very happy so far.
Answer for a guys sizing question: I wear 10.5 EEEE width. Bought the size 11=Perfect!! Just right amount of room.
Straps wanted to fall down until I raised the back cross piece and set it high on the back of my shoulders/neck.
Strap pads didnt stay put. Some rubberized material like the other strap would be nice there to keep in place.
This is not a hit piece, so don't take what I said as bad mouthing the product. I like them and so far would highly recommend them. Time will tell but so far so good!!
I used a promo code but it didn't get taken off but I will call customer service to inquire. I mentioned that I have been watching your channel and told them I was looking at them on your suggestion.. and the tookd good care of me!!!

As far as comfort they are unmatched, price unmatched, and No signs of leakage and I wore them and wore them hard with intent to test them as they passed with flying colors other than the strap issue. I would like to suggest the strap regardless which side of the buckle be a bungy type of material in hopes this would fix this issue I had and to allow more movement. I have been wearing breathable thin waders for about 25 years. Initially Cabbalas was the main brand available and they had all natural rubber in their boots . I still have some of the boots I cut the waders off of and they will almost never dry rot. A far cry fro the red balls hodgemen and converse of the 60 s and 70 s that you had to pack with newspaper in the offseason to keep them from cracking on creases etc. At first the most insulation the breathable had was about 600 grams (really more for stream fishing. They finally got up to 1,000 about 10 years ago in the breathable. Cabbalas hasn't offered them every year in several years . Last I bought was about 8 years ago around the time Lacrosse offered them. All the ones I had would leak after a couple years of hard use but they leaked very slow and I just put up with it.
I am about ready for a new pair and love Bottomland pattern too. Looks like the High N Dry will be my next pair. I hate to go to Sitka etc. I dont like the bulk either. I have migrated to a lot of 100 % merino wool layers and socks over the years and an outer layer of windproof /waterproof material often just a shirt not a jacket.

Wool good but fleece is good too.
I hunt 70-90 days a season..I don't use wool until it's really cold because my boat blind it tight and heated. If you ever get wet...fleece can be simply rung out and put right back on. It doesn't actually get wet because it's plastic.
Wet wool gives off heat. If I could afford all wool clothes I would use them. Fleece is what I settle on..

tee kay yeah, I’ve really figured out the layer thing pretty well in the past few years. I only wear a jacket on the ride in the morning or on the coldest of days. I hadn’t given breathables serious consideration until about 2013. The first time I saw a pair was in about 2005. The guys at Hodgmans had some they wanted me to try. They looked like they would tear just walking across the parking lot lol. I said, I’ll wait until they’re viable.

@@SurvivingDuckSeason yeah I tried a pair of the hodgeman breathable. they didn't hold up well at all and the boot itself cracked and leaked within 2 years. Maybe they were old stock got them from Wing Supply for about $100. Remember when Hawks in Blytheville was about the only place that carried KENT shells ? I still use Kent 2 3/4 High speed lead for pheasant much cheaper than other similar shells and I think better. I wish we had lead 6 shot at 1500 fps 30 years ago !!

My one complaint about neoprene waters is when I sweat in them the next morning the inside will be wet and cold😂

Use boot dryer with wader extensions. 90 minutes and you're dry.

This is going to seem odd but well...they call me Oddball.
I use neoprene because I'm a yankeee. Struggled with leaky seams or what I call "weepy".
Finally I wore out a pair of waders AND I CUT THEM UP. I tore them apart to see how they're made.
Oh God its so simple. The hardest part for me was figuring out what glue. It's contact cement. Nothing special.
I can not tell y'all how to fix waders my word skills suck bad. Tear apart a pair of neoprene waders and there's a bell that goes off in your head and right then you can fix old neoprene waders. You can peel apart the layers. Never ever ever toss or burn your waders. That's your supply of patches for your new ones.
