I don't see it that way. They spend more money sending all the firefighters to combat the fires. We've had 21+ fires due to fireworks. One burned 1,079 acres destroying property. I don't think it's a waste.

That's not true. I live in Natomas and called 911 because of the illegal fireworks. The operator transferred me to the fire department, which never picked up the line, and there was no voicemail. I explained to 911 that my house has four oxygen tanks since my mother is in hospice and her health is fragile. She can have a heart attack at any point. The operator said to take her to the hospital since the police were not tracking the illegal fireworks. Zero helicopters were flying over our neighborhoods. And all the next-door neighbors came across the way to shoot the fireworks on the side of my house. Many people and their children were trespassing in our front yard and side of the yard, shooting fireworks. They did not stop until 2 am. Shameful!
Illegal fireworks? It was illegal to detonate thousands of fireworks inside of a truck a few years ago in Los Angeles on LA Sheriff order. Did he get arrested for such malicious and dangerous behavior? Of course not.
